cause you to allow someone to take advantage,
and possibly not even know it.
It depends on how much you drink. Beer is
alcohol just like anything else. Drink enough
and you get real stupid. ANY alcoholic beverage
will get you drunk beyond reason if you drink
enough of it.
If you are a small person you will get drunk
on less. If you haven't eaten much, you will
get drunk on less.
So, the correct answer to your question is
Yes. If you drink a lot your first time, its
very likely that you won't know whats going
on. And its very dangerous. [ karenR's advice column | Ask karenR A Question ]

If it's your first time, pace your self and have water available. You should aim to drink water inbetween alcohol - it won't give you the awful hungover feeling in the morning.
What are you planning on drinking? As it's your first time, I'd steer clear from shots. Stick to one type of drink, as it won't mix with whatever else you drink and make you sick.
Beers and alco pops will probably be your best bet (nothing with a large alcohol content) so see which one you like best and stick to it.
Don't drink to the point of stupidity, because anything can happen to you - and you won't have a clue.
When you're feeling tipsy, grab the water and give the alcohol a miss, for your own safety. and if you're worried about people trying it on with you, stick with the people you know and tell them to watch out for you. It's always a good idea to have someone who doesn't drink alot to check up on you and your friends. [ thelaura's advice column | Ask thelaura A Question ]
lalapeep answered Sunday September 14 2008, 12:10 am: There's a few factors that you have to take into consideration here. Firstly, it depends on what you'll be drinking. If you're drinking beer then you can down quite a few, heh but still don't go too crazy since it is you first time and all. Hard alcohol(vodka, rum etc.) be very careful. It's not going to taste the greatest so please do not have a lot of that. All you need to be concerned about is just getting buzzed/tipsy. You do not want to be to the point of throwing up, blacking out, the list goes on. When you're in the tipsy stage you still know what's going on around you, therefore you'll for sure know when someone tries to get with you. I cannot stress enough of how much you need to be careful about how much you have. After you have one or two beers or a few shots, wait a little and see how you feel. A common thing that goes wrong is that people(including myself) keep on drinking because we don't feel anything at the moment but it takes a little bit for the alcohol to kick in. That's how you end up passing out and throwing up, ha fun right? As far as someone trying to get with you, if you have any doubts in your head then just don't get with them. Most likely though, you'll want to get with them as well. Don't go tooo far, haha. So just be careful and have fun! Hope I helped :] [ lalapeep's advice column | Ask lalapeep A Question ]
fortylove answered Saturday September 13 2008, 11:31 pm: Its possible... I mean you'll know what's going on but when you drink your inhibitions are lowered so you might be more willing to do something you wouldn't do sober.
Try not to drink a lot, and have a friend watching yoru back the whole night, and make sure they're a dependable friend =]
