Q: I was thinking about going to an Aveda Institute for cosmetology school (either Milwaukee, WI or Minneapolis, MN) in the Fall of 2009. I have a few questions.

1. How old do you have to be? I heard that some places you only have to be 16 years old, thats crazy. (I'll be 18 or 19)

2. If you get your cosmetology license in a specific state, does that mean you are required to be a stylist in that state only?

i'm 16.. a sophmore in highschool. i'm going next year to a local satalite school in my county. i learn there and get all my hours in to get my license. i am bussed there half the day then i go back to my regular school . but i could of gone this year if i wanted too. and it doesnt cost any money to do that! :].. but since your older.. your gna go to like a beauty school. i know of one that is 15,000 a year. so theres an idea for you.. but i live in NJ so it may be different in your state !

Q: okay so what' s a good way to get a guy without being obvious. How do you play hard to get? I'm trying but it's not working. He doesn't seem interested, like sometimes he does but then at other times he doesn't. So how do I go about making him want me more? haha it sounds selfish but I'm just curious! thanks!

theres a lot you can do .

you can say
"we're hanging out sometime, okay."
and end it there. thats more of a in-school hallway thing.. and it totally gets him thinking!

that way.. he gets more interested.

Q: I think that I may have a yeast infection. but i'm not sure. I have an odd rash inbetween my legs, and my....*vajayjay* has an odd smell radiating out of it, and i wash all the time. i'm not dirty. I also always have a weird discharge...
help! any clue to what it is..oh and the rash is itchy as well

you need to go to the doctor to be sure. infections can also occur when you were tight pants.. because lack of "air" in that area.

and keeping it dry does help.. moisture isnt good. and eating yogurt can help if its a yeast infection as well.

Q: okay so i have like insanely dry legs
and its really gross :( i hate it.
ive tried using creams and stuff but it just makes them greasy and disgusting and like if i put cream on before gym and stuff my legs get REALLY red because im like running and stuff and i look retarded.
is there anything i can do? helppppp please!

try using a moisturizing soap. i get dry skin sometimes too.. i use dove beauty bar. it really helps. and it makes you feel really clean. i love it.

Q: why are people so upsessed with tanning..like my sister goes tanning everyday and it makes her look gross. like her skin looks like leather. and whenever i go to the mall i see girls that are like orange, and all dried out. I don't understand why people don't stay with their natural skin tone...and if they want a natural glow or a little more color why cant they just get a tinted mostiurizer...then you can skip the whole cancer thing? idk it just makes so sense to me at all, if anyone goes tanning or knows why people do these please explain it to me

some people want a darker skin tone. and you can get addicted to tanning.

as for girls being "orange".. i guess they think they look better like that. you wouldnt continue doing it if you didnt think you looked good.
but i agree.. the orange skin tone is not a good look. Haha!

Q: if i drink a lot for my first time will i be out of it and not know whats going on if someone trys somthing with me?

it depends on your alchol tollerance, really. and you can never be careful with alchol, you never know how much is to much until your thinking "I really shouldn't have drank that much." thats the truth.

Q: i want to get a new cell phone and i wanted to buy it off ebay and i was wondering if i could just buy it off ebay and put the smartchip into the new phone and not have to go and talk to at&t? can i do that?

yeah you can do that if the phone works for the AT&T network. just make sure it does. for example, an "unlocked" phone works for any network... so that would work. the sim card can just be taken out and put into the new phone. i bought a phone off of ebay and just changed my card ( i have AT&T) its real easy.

Q: ok so i like this guy and we are like already friends and stuff and we talk on the regular but i want to be more then friends... like i notice that he's always looking at me in class then when i look at him like he makes these cute little funny faces at me. and like we both have the same favorite candy... but i want to make this relationship go faster i want to be his girl friend? do yu have any sighs he might give me to tell me he likes me to and what can i do to show him i like him without actully telling him? please help me!!!!!!

Yeah he probably likes you. It's very common for a friend of the opposite sex to start liking them. Just hangout, he'll probably make the move on his own.

And trust me.. don't rush it.
If you rush, it really wont last. It's much more worth it to take it slow.

Q: 13/Male- I have this friend of mine, we've been friends for years now, and I kinda used to have feelings for her a few years ago, but then realized it was awkward that way and since then, just kinda back to liking her as a friend.. Anyway, she's 13 as well and I just found out she's dating a 16 year old, should i be slightly concerned? I mean, I'm probably thinking the worse, but it's been crossing my mind the last few days and am just kinda wondering if maybe I should be a little worried.. Most of my friends are dating 13-14 year olds.. Could there be a "reason" if you know what I mean, that he'd want to have her as a girlfriend? I mean, if I was 16, I'd probably be looking at someone around the similar age.. Just my opinion..

if your friend is acting the same, then there really should be nothing wrong. its natural for you to be concered with her dating someone older. I have a guy friend who is two years older then i am and we're very close. and we have history like you and your friend do. he'd want to make sure i was okay if i was dating someone. so if you see any changes in her, talk to her about it. but give her space, its her relationship. and her choice.

Q: Hi I am a sophomore (f) and I have been really bored with all of the guys in my grade. I think this freshmen might like me sorta but I dont reeally know him that well.. and we have no classes together. we have had a couple IM convos but i dont want a relationship to start based on the computer. Since we dont see each other very often how do you think i should talk/get to know him.. hellppppp

well if you each like eachother, it should be natural. but you might be nervous. if you see him in the hallways at school and happen to talk say something like "we need to hangout someime!" or even on an IM convo. it always works and eases everything upp, cause the guy doesn't feel the pressure of making the first move. hope i helpedd !
