at&t phones

i want to get a new cell phone and i wanted to buy it off ebay and i was wondering if i could just buy it off ebay and put the smartchip into the new phone and not have to go and talk to at&t? can i do that?

yeah you can do that if the phone works for the AT&T network. just make sure it does. for example, an "unlocked" phone works for any network... so that would work. the sim card can just be taken out and put into the new phone. i bought a phone off of ebay and just changed my card ( i have AT&T) its real easy.

if you have att and the phone you get is att, and both are from the same region (ie united states) then yes, you will have no trouble just putting the chip in. unless the phone is really old, att didnt use sim chips a few years ago, not sure how long, probably about 10.
