Hi.. I read your profile.. So you seemed like the right person to ask this too... I'm 18 just to let you know.. and I'm on birth control.. Is it possible to get pregnant if your on that.. and take it most of the time reguarly??

While on the birth control pill, your chances of pregnancy are decreased but there is still a possibility of getting pregnant. Certain medicines can interact with your birth control putting you at risk for pregnancy. It's always best to combine the birth control pill with another contraceptive, generally a condom since the pill does not protect against STDs. Hope this helps.

It's a matter of personal preference. Some women prefer the smooth feeling while some prefer doing without the bother of shaving.

I didnt know where to place this question. So I just placed it anywhere.. anyway.. my question is.. When you shave down there... What can you use to not have it itch afterwards :/ Hell I dont even like shaving it! I'm gonna do a little at a time.. :/ Wow... Do I feel stupid

Soaking in a warm tub before shaving will cut down on irritation since it plumps up the skin making it easier to get to the hairs. A shave gel/foam with aloe or vitamin E (look for the sensitive skin kind) will also help. Always use a new razor and try to not go over the same spot more than twice.

hey well next month on the 5th me and my baby will be together for one year.. and i want some ideas of what we can do or something i can surprise him with.. Please dont say make a CD for him..or make a photo album cause i made a album of us for his birthday.. and if i made a CD he'd think im weird lol.. thanks alot and ill rate high for anything good romantic and cute..

A romantic picnic is always an easy item. You can also make him some gift-certificates for things like seeing a movie of his choice, a massage, his favorte dinner cooked by you, etc. Another easy, inexpensive idea is to decorate like a shoe box and fill it with slips of paper that you've wrote different things you love about him on. i am going to defer enrollment to College for one year in order to train for tennis and hopefully get a scholarship. Has anyone taken a year off after high school, and if so, do you have any suggestions as to how I could continue studying (community college, etc...) I have already been accepted to a University (Drexel) and also accepted for my deferral request. Also, if I want to apply to other universities can I still do so? Does deferring hurt my chances of acceptance? Thanks!

A community college is a great, affordable way to get an education or even keep up with your education before going to college. If you've already decided your major, find out what courses are required. Many of the general ed course (math, science, english) can be taken at a community college and then transferred to the university when you're ready to go. Just make sure that the university will accept the credits for the courses you took at the community college.

Urine can change color for a variety of reasons. If your pee is very light yellow, it could be from drinking a lot of water. Some medicines also change the color of your urine.

Getting out in the sun is a natural mood booster. Chocolate also has been found to have good effects on lifting your mood when found in moderation. A long soak in the tub or a walk can also boost your mood.

i just found out that my love is diabetic. i have no idea what it means. can anyone please tell me what it means? does drinking alcohol make it worst?

Diabetic means their body does not process the right amount of insulin to break down sugars correctly. Since alcohol is high in sugar, it should definitely be avoided. A diet low in sugar and carbs can also help control the diabetes. Exercise in moderation is good. The doctor can prescribe medicine or insulin if dietary and exercise changes do not help.

On mat or carpeted area, lie on your back.
Lift your right knee up to your chest.
Grasp your knee, wrapping both arms around it.
Hold for about 30 seconds with your head, shoulder and left leg all in relaxed positions.
Repeat with other leg.

Stand in front of a chair with your feet hip-wide apart and s-l-o-w-l-y squat until you 'just touch' the seat, then squeeze your buns together as you rise. This exercise works to tone the buns by working each bun towards your crack.

Lunges - Put one leg behind you, then bend the knee of the opposite leg so that you can lunge forward. Be careful not to pull anything out of gear. As you lunge, touch to feel the pull.

I have been renting a home for 10 months now and I've paid an overraged of at least $300 dollars due to water leaks. I'm trying to find out if my landlord should be responsible for the difference in comparison to a normal water bill.I can't find advice without having to pay for it. Single mom with children and can't afford it already as it is.

If the water the leak is in the home that you're renting, the landlord is responsible for fixing it. You can talk to the landlord about paying the overage but they may not have to pay it since they can say that you should have told them there was a leak.

Ok well I think I have a yeast infection..ok so what do I do should I like go to the family health council? or will it just go away in a matter of time?

A yeast infection will not clear up on it's own. Talk to your doctor about anti-biotics to clear it up. Also, eating yogurt with active yeast cultures, as well as keeping the area very clean will help prevent you getting them.

ok im sorry if this is going to be long..and this is more like a girl quiestion..
well i have been going to the bathroom..and when i wipe all this stick nasy white stuff comes out..and its like nasty..my mom says its discharge but i dont think so..and its like chunky and stuff...(sorry for the details)and some times its brown..so it comes out in brown chunks..but any ways i told my mom and she said its just left overs from your period..like left over blood..and i said i dont think so because its brown not red..and she said shell take me to a cudor doctor..and i said hell no..and shes like fine...and yes i take a shower everysingle day..morning and night..and i do wash down there..and its not when i plat with my self..i dont think so!!

It sounds to me like you've got some sort of vaginal infection. It's natural to have some discharge but it shouldn't be brown. You need to go to the doctor and explain to them how the discharge is. Many times they don't even have to examine you to be able to diagnose the problem.

Hey, I recently made my first appointment to see a gyno so I could be put on birth control. The only problem is my Mom told me we don't have any prescription insurance so for medication we need to pay the full amount. I'm 19 years old and I;m wondering if theres any cheap ones anyones on or if this has happened to anyone else. Thank you so much!

Try your local health department or Planned Parenthood office. A lot of times, these places provide you contraceptives at little or no cost.

Making the room light and bright opens up a room a lot. Mirrors also make the room appear to be bigger than it is. Organizers will keep your stuff together and save space.

Waiting for marriage is something not many people do anymore. You should respect your boyfriend's decision to wait and not push him into anything he's not ready for. If sex is that big of an issue for you, then you need to do the right thing and let this guy go.

I have an interview tomorrow afternoon at United Colors of Benneton. I was wondering if anyone could provide some quick guidelines for what to wear. I do not own a suit. Tips regarding hair and makeup would also be appreciated. (I am female, by the way.)

You don't have to have a suit to look professional. Dress slacks and a nice blouse or blazer will work. Make sure they're clean and unwrinkled. Matching shoes will complete the outfit. Also make sure that they're cleaned. Hair should be done neatly but nothing outrageous. Make-up should be tasteful, don't go overboard. Try not to wear too much jewelry. Simple is the key. Other tips are show up a few minutes early, know a little about the company, look the interviewer in the eye, and smile. Good luck. Hope you get it.

My bestfriend is 21. She is pregnant and does not want to keep the child because she cannot support it. She wants to have an abbortion. I have mixed feelings about it, but it's her life. I don't know how I can help her..because I'm still in highschool and don't have a job where I can lend her some money. But she's lent my cousin a LOT of money because he needed help, but he can't pay herback, for other reasons. I don't know how I can help her. And she can't tell her Mom because her Mom will kick her out of the house, and then she won't have any place to live & a child.

I'm scared for her.

Abortion is a very personal choice for a woman and should be left at that. There are other options for pregnant women including adoption. Even though you can't afford to help your friend right now, the best thing you can offer her is your love and support whatever she decides.

The best thing to do is sit them down and gently tell them that you have these feelings. Also at your age, sometimes your sexuality is confused so it's completely natural.

I grew up in a christian home. I'm almost 18 and still everything in my life is God this God that. I believe in him but that doesn't make my problems go away. I'm always crying, have the blues, feel alone, feel anger, sad, somedays I just don't feel like doing anything but lay around. But everytime I try to show to my parents that I have a problem I get God shoved in my face. Sometimes I just want to run away from home...but I know that won't solve anything. What should I do? If I stick around home anylonger I'm afraid that I'll do something to myself again.
