I've been in this relationship with my boyfriend for nearly three years now. I'm 18, he's 22. I'd like to call it serious, but it's the first relationship I've had that I would even consider calling it serious, so I don't know for sure.

My question is this: when, if at all, would be a good time to talk to him about the future? I mean it's pretty obvious we're going to be together a long time. Since we're both in college now, I feel like it would be a good idea to at least have some general outline for the future of our relationship, as in whether we're going to get married or not and basically what our future goals are.

Of course I don't want to put things in stone, but I've wanted to talk about this with him for awhile and I just don't know if it's a good time.

Early in our relationship, like pretty much all couples do, we would talk about our house and kids and stuff, but only in a cute way and I don't consider that as being serious.

Advice? Similar situations?

It seems that now is the perfect time to talk about your future, since you are both in a transitional time of life. It is important at this stage to find out if your life goals mesh and to at least obtain a general idea of where you both want to be in 2, 5, and 10 years.

It would be great to cover areas such as the future of your relationship (getting married, having kids), housing (living together, renting, buying), careers (both having jobs, homemaking).

Obviously, nothing has to be permanently decided on right away. A nice chat over coffee or tea, or while taking a walk, or any other way you like to casually converse, could easily give you a picture of what you both really want out of life.

Good luck!

Does chocolate make you fat?
How about popcorn?

It's calories that make you fat. Popcorn and chocolate have calories, and if you eat too much, they can make you fat. Of course everything has calories, including "good for you" foods like fruits and veggies.

Ever since I got my first tattoo 3 years ago, I have bee dying to get another. I know basically what I want and where I want it at.. but I'm having problems coming up with a design for it?

Basically, I want it to be in pink and black. I want a pink heart, and either inside it, around it, or next to it I want the words 'Everything Happens For A Reason."

So my question is, does anyone know of any websites that have really good examples of pics of tattoos, or maybe a website that will help you design them? I'm really bad at drawing things up & I want this tattoo to look awesome.. since I'm obviously going to have it for the rest of my life.

Any help would be appreciated, thank you!

Try bmeink.com. It's got thousands and thousands of tattoos.

i recently replaced coffee with green tea. will this benefit me in any way?

Why yes! Though coffee has some benefits, green tea has far more. Plus, the health issues which coffee may carry are more than any benefits.

Based on various studies coffee may increase risk for heart attack, anxiety, acid reflux, caffine addiction, high blood pressure, and sleep disorders, as well as other issues.

Studies show green tea reduces risk for cardiovascular disease and sleep disorders. Green tea may even lower cholesterol and cancer risk. Some studies show that it can increase memory.

Good for you making the switch. I recommend searching WebMD if you need any more information.

ok i have over axcess ear wax and do you know of anything that i can use to dissolve it i need all the help i can get i already tried q-tips it only makes it worse please help

Note that if you have a history of middle ear infections, swimmer's ear, or a hole in the eardrum, you should not attempt ANY home remedies.

That being said, you might try irrigation. Find a squirt bottle and fill it with warm (not hot) water. Gently squirt the water into the ear canal with a very mild pressure. This is best done in the shower, so you don't dribble all over yourself.

Also, drug stores carry a variety of ear wax removal systems. They are available without a prescription.

You could mix a vinegar-water-peroxide solution at a 1:1:2 ratio and warm it to body temperature. Pour or very gently squirt into the ear canal. Allow to set for half a minute, and drain.

For some people, cotton swabs can increase ear wax. The act of cleaning out ear wax causes some people to produce even more to replace the missing wax.

Candling is an unsafe, ineffective technique with potential to cause burns, infections, and perforation of the ear drum. Read this (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ear_candling) if you need more information on candling.

my tampon is stuck. like, the string is there but when i pull on it the tampon wont come out. this was my first time using a tampon (i got my period yesterday) and im really scared. i know its a stupid question but i dont know what to do

PLEASE answer

It's probably a bit to dry. A tampon only slides out easily when it is saturated. Next time try a smaller size, and always remember to use the smallest size needed.

For now, take a long soak in a warm bath. This will loosen the tissue in the area and hopefully help to saturate the tampon at least a little bit.

Work at it gently. Try not to just rip it out, or you might damage the sensitive skin it comes in contact with. Attempt several times to remove it while you are in the bath. Relax as much as you can in your bath in order to loosen the muscles that hold it in place. If it's been in place less than eight hours, just leave it until 8 hours is up and try to remove it again.

alright well my friend brad does peircings. and my friend sara wanted her tongue done. well brad is really good at it and i recommended him to sara. well last night he peirced her tongue but its a little crooked. i feel bad cause i reccommended him. usually its straight. but he kinda did it crooked. is there anyway she can fix it by herself?

Most tongue piercings are a little crooked. It helps the barbell to lay properly when the mouth is closed. A perfectly straight tongue piercing can be very uncomfortable for some people, and can even stretch the hole when the mouth is closed and the barbell is forced to lay sideways.

Don't feel bad about recommending him. If it's the only one he ever pierced crooked, then it's probably his best one yet.

could the doctors take a blood test and see i smoke pot? i know they can with urian. but with blood? even when they are not even looking for it?
also friday i have to go to the doctors for my pyshical. when they take my urian can they tell i smoke? or do they just not even look at that?

A doctor must be specifically looking for the presense of marijuana in your blood or urine in order to detect it. When they take your urine sample, they will inform you if they will be looking for drugs.

Here is a good informative article that should answer a few questions for you, I think.

what does it mean when people are like "touche" in french? its pronounced as "too-shay". and someone said it in a video. they're like "ah, touche". I believe its frenched but what does it mean.. and like how would you say it in real life? in what situation?

Also I just was about to eat this green jellybean, and i bit it and it was hard and i split it open and it looked funny in there... like hardish so i threw it out. it was also shapped bigger and differently than the others. it was also the size of 2 normal jelly beans. did i do the right thing? tho i kinda wanted to eat it, lol

Touche - a French term from fencing (a sword fighting sport). It literally means "touched." When your opponent scores a valid hit, in other words, touches you with the sword (epee), you would say "touche" to acknowldge the hit.

It is used two ways in every day conversation. It is used to admit that a point is true, especially when a person has succesfully countered your logic. It is also used sarcastically when you can't argue against someone's logic. If you imagine an argument as a sword fight, it might make more sense.

And as for your jelly bean... There is a rule to follow when any food seems not quite right. "When in doubt, throw it out."

i get head aches alot. right near my sinuses. but my mom wants to get an xray of my brain for some reason. would they we able to tell i smoke weed? because i lose brain cells?

That would require a blood or urine drug test. Sounds more like a sinus related problem than a brain problem. Perhaps you are allergic to smoke? Or you could have a sinus infection.

Anyway, loss of brain cells due to smoking marijuana has not been medically proven, or even supported. If you are interested in more information on the true, medically proven long and short term side effects of marijuana, please let me know.

EDIT: Sorry, I should've been more specific. They must be testing specifically for the presence of marijuana in order to detect it. As far as I know, every state requires by law that a drug test cannot be performed without your consent, so you would know if it was going to happen. So, no worries.

this is going to sound crazy, but i tried to use tweezers to pluck a few hairs on my breast. it looks like one of them became an ingrown hair...except it's almost like you can see a long piece of hair, under my skin. it almost looks like someone drew a pencil mark (a line on me). it's raised a little one one end. what is this & HOW DO I GET RID OF IT?! 17/f

You're right, it's an ingrown hair, and it's pretty easy to remove.

Take a sterile needle and insert it just under the skin (shouldn't hurt much or at all). Then just pop the hair out. Once the hair is our from under the skin it will continue to grow normally. Then you can take care of it however you like

To sterilize a needle boil water and place the needle in the boiling water for 2-5 minutes. Before handling the needle, wash your hands in soap and very warm water up past your wrists.

ok so im overweight and right under where my fat is on my stomach theres like this weird skin irritation thats been there for a long time. its reddened but towards the center it gets lighter, its along a broad part of my stomach and sometimes it hurts to touch. anyone know what the hell is up with this and how i make it stop hurting?

please, serious answers (preferably no "go to a doctor")

I believe you're saying that the rash is in a fold of skin. It could be several things.

It could be a heat rash. Clear it up by rubbing a powder in it in the morning and at night. Keep the area dry. Be especially mindful of sweating in the area. Try a non-talc body powder, or try Gold Bond medicated powder (follow the directions on the bottle).

Similarly, you might be allergic to sweat. Carry moist wipes with you and whenever you feel that you may be sweating in the area take a trip to the restroom and clean up, and follow with powder.

As someone else said, you may have a metal allergy. This would mostly appear as a sore, open rash directly in the area where the metal contacts your skin.

Finally, be sure to dry very thoroughly after a shower. Fungal rashes love warm, moist, dark areas. This is similar to athlete's foot. Once again, keep the area clean and dry, and use powder or anti-rash cream.

Obviously I have to say this... after you have begun treatment if the condition persists past a few days, fails to show any improvement, or gets much worse, you will really want to see a doctor. If you do visit the doctor, expect an exam and a prescription for a medicated cream or powder, and possibly an oral medication.

in like a week or so i'm getting 2 teeth pulled in the back of my mouth. im scared shit because i don't know what to expect. when i'm under the anethesia will i feel any pain? will i feel pain after it's done? is there any way that the anethesia will wear off while they are pulling my teeth out? WHAT IF I DONT WAKE UP FROM THE ANATHESIA??

im sooooo scared i need to know these answers. if you had teeth pulled out tell me EVERYTHING.

Hey, I've had several teeth pulled, so first I'll answer your questions, then I'll let you know what I went through.

First off, you'll most likely get local anesthesia, not general. In other words, you'll get several numbing shots in your mouth instead of being put to sleep.

You don't feel pain with the anesthesia. If for some strange reason you do, tell your doctor immediately. He (or she) will stop and fix the problem. They'll also check to be sure you're numb before they start pulling. You'll feel pain a while after it's done. It takes the anesthesia a while to where off. They may give you pain medication afterwards, or you could request some if they don't offer. The tooth pulling itself goes very quickly. You'll be done long before it wears off.

For my tooth, they first swabbed topical anesthesia on the area so the shots wouldn't hurt so much. Then I got three very slow shots - one in my gum, one in my cheek, and one on the roof of my mouth. The one on the roof of my mouth was the only one that hurt, and the doctor warned me ahead of time that it would. Then the doctor gave me a magazine and left the room to give the it time to numb.

Then he came back in and wiggled my tooth around until he could pull it out. Well, by wiggled I mean he pushed and pulled hard enough to move my head around. And the sound it made was a little gross. But it didn't hurt at all.

Then his assistant packed it with gauze and something else. I was given a pain killer presciption for a week, and I only used half of it. I only even felt a dull ache, but the medicine made it easier to eat and talk.

Would it wrong to take a nap with your boyfriend or girlfriend? on the sofa or something?

I dont know, for some reason, I dont think my mom would agree. I'm just wondering too, I'm curious, what most parents would think of this?

I see no problem with it, especially if it's in an open place, like the living room.

However, your mom probably wouldn't agree.

Once I had a severe allergy attack at my boyfriend's house. I was in extreme pain. We fell asleep on the couch with my head in his lap, because all I wanted to do was sleep it off. His mom was fine with that, but he was really uncomfortable. So he asked if we could nap in a bed with the door open, and she flipped out. I was heavily drugged with allergy medicine and in extreme pain, and she still wouldn't let us nap in bed together. Geez.

As a mom myself now...I probably wouldn't let my girl nap with her guy in a bedroom. But on a couch or futon in the living room, I really wouldn't care.

I'm going to be Strawberry Shortcake for Halloween but I'm going to a party with a date. He needs to match me. Does anyone know what would match Strawberry Shortcake? Don't give me ideas for other costumes, please. I already know of other things we can do, I just really want to go as Strawberry Shortcake

Your date could be Huckleberry Pie! He's the little boy from the Strawberry Shortcake movies. That would be cute. He'd have a couple of outfits to pick from too. If I remember right, he started out as a little farm boy, but the modern one is a skateboarder with a backwards baseball cap. Try a Google search to see the different looks he's gone through.

I found the modern one here

well...its really weird...i have this strange flap of skin coming out of my lady part. its on one side...and it just seems like its stretched out or something. the only problem is...it hangs out and rubs against my underwear and its really uncomfortable.

You have "asymmetrical labia."

This is a condition in which one labia minora is small and the other is what is called redundant. It's not a health concern, but it can be a concern for comfort.

If you find it very uncomfotable, as most people do, you might want to visit your gynocologist. The extra skin can be removed with a very simple operation that can normally be performed in your physician's office without a hospital stay. Your insurance may not cover it, however, since it is generally considered cosmetic surgery.

Im going to try crack or coke with my friend in a couple days for the first time so my question is, if i only do it once, what can happen? Can i form an addiction right away? Whats worse crack or coke? I'm going to try the one thats less harmful on my body. People with experience plz help. so far ive drank alcohol, smoked pot and cigarettes, and taken speed. So i know what its like to be high and drunk or whatever. pls advice ppl. thanks

---I'm an experienced drug user---

First, crack and cocaine are basically the same (unless the person you are getting it from uses different names). Crack is pretty much cheaply made cocaine.

And let me give you a practical warning. Unless you make it yourself, you can NEVER know what your drug is cut with. And it is always cut with something.

Yes, from experience, you can easily form an addiction the first time. And it's really hard to break. Unless you have a LOT of experience with addictive drugs (more addictive than cigarettes) I wouldn't even try.

Crack is worse only because, as a rule, it is not as pure as coke. Otherwise, both are equally bad for you.

Cigarettes, marijuana, alcohol, and speed are VERY different from cocaine. It's its own experience.

Now, here are the side effects from just one usage(I advise you READ THEM ALL)...
Hyperactivity, restlessness, euphoria, increased blood pressure, increased heart rate, discomfort, depression, craving, sexual arousal, twitching, paranoia, hallucinations, seizures, respiratory depression, respiratory failure, stroke, cerebral hemorrhage, heart-failure, increased heat production, vasoconstriction (stopped heat loss, leading to fatal overheating), hyperthermia.

You are smart to ask. Information is your best weapon when it comes to drugs. Remember some basic rules: 1)Know your drug, 2)Know your source, 3)Know yourself and your limits, 4) Know what to do in an emergency.

Hey! On friday teh 13th, some of my freinds are coming over for a scary movie night. The thing is, I don't know some good halloween movies. Does anyone know any good HALLOWEEN movies? I want movies that take place during halloween... but scary ones that don't take place then are good too! PG-13 would help!

I couldn't recall if any of these were set on Halloween, but they are all very good.

RATED R
Psycho
Alien
Aliens
The Shining
Rosemary's Baby
Shaun of the Dead (more of a comedy)
Halloween

The best PG-13 movie I could find was Jaws.

You might want to check out IMDb.com's Top Rated Horror Titles here http://www.imdb.com/chart/horror.
