hey, i think your skin is rubbing together causeing an irration and a rash. does it itch at all? if it does get anti itch cream. i think you should see a doctor even tho you said you dont want to. cause i could be wrong. also you could ask your parent about it too =].

I know what you are talking about. As another user mentioned use Gold bond medicated powder...or the generic medicated powder works just as well.

once it is healed up and no longer sore, keep using the powder. It will help keep it dry and will help keep it from getting sore. :)

could be chaffing it's the rubbing of the skin. i get it sometimes when i play field hockey on my inner thigh because my legs rub together when i run. when mine hurts i put baby powder on it to help it from hurting. so try that. hope everything works out for you sweetheart.

I believe you're saying that the rash is in a fold of skin. It could be several things.

It could be a heat rash. Clear it up by rubbing a powder in it in the morning and at night. Keep the area dry. Be especially mindful of sweating in the area. Try a non-talc body powder, or try Gold Bond medicated powder (follow the directions on the bottle).

Similarly, you might be allergic to sweat. Carry moist wipes with you and whenever you feel that you may be sweating in the area take a trip to the restroom and clean up, and follow with powder.

As someone else said, you may have a metal allergy. This would mostly appear as a sore, open rash directly in the area where the metal contacts your skin.

Finally, be sure to dry very thoroughly after a shower. Fungal rashes love warm, moist, dark areas. This is similar to athlete's foot. Once again, keep the area clean and dry, and use powder or anti-rash cream.

Obviously I have to say this... after you have begun treatment if the condition persists past a few days, fails to show any improvement, or gets much worse, you will really want to see a doctor. If you do visit the doctor, expect an exam and a prescription for a medicated cream or powder, and possibly an oral medication.

It sounds like what I've got. Do you wear a belt? If so, the metal could be irritating your skin and causing you to break out. My Dermatologist told me to paint the metal on the belt with clear fingernail polish. Of course it cleared the rash up=). I think he told me it was eczema.

Ok, so you don't want to go and see a doctor - that's fine - not a good idea though.

However, it could be something as simple as not drying yourself completely after washing and the skin is staying moist. This would encourage the skin to break down and become sore to touch. It could also be a fungal infection that will need a cream to clear it up - ask the pharmicist for advise. If it is too sore to rub dry try blowing it gently with a warm hair dryer until it is completely dry.

Nobody on this site can give you accurate advice because they cannot see what it looks like. A professional will be able to diagnose the cause and suggest a treatment. You don't need to see the doctor but it would help. I know my information is rather vague and if I am of no help I apologise. Take care.
