halloween movies

Question Posted Monday October 2 2006, 10:19 am

Hey! On friday teh 13th, some of my freinds are coming over for a scary movie night. The thing is, I don't know some good halloween movies. Does anyone know any good HALLOWEEN movies? I want movies that take place during halloween... but scary ones that don't take place then are good too! PG-13 would help!

You know you need ressurection, michael myers, texas chainsaw massacre, and most definitely Valentine. Valentine is really hard to guess who the damn killer is. Its really slow to get to the point but its aight. Good luck on ya hallow night

I wasn't going to answer since so many others did, but some movies, like the Grudge, are not worth watching and aren't scary.

Here are a few of my choices:

-The Others- if you haven't seen it, it keeps you guessing and there are a few jumpy parts.
-The Hills Have Eyes isn't scary, it's suspense. But good nonetheless.
-28 Days later. Not zombies, infected people. So they run fast.
-The Ring was one I loved, but not everyone agrees with.
-The Exorcist is a classic.
-The Haunting: big house creepy angels in the fire place. Blood bathes.
-House on Haunted Hill- you've got to love the remake. It even has Chris Kattan.
-Land of the Dead if you're a Romero fan or you just like the 21st century style blood and guts. (The 2 guys from Shaun of the Dead are in there too, but it takes a trained eye, or the special features, to find them)
-Rosemary's Baby- I haven't seen it, but others say it's a keeper. (Plot-woman raped by the devil=evil baby.)

Hope this helps. :)

I couldn't recall if any of these were set on Halloween, but they are all very good.

RATED R
Psycho
Alien
Aliens
The Shining
Rosemary's Baby
Shaun of the Dead (more of a comedy)
Halloween

The best PG-13 movie I could find was Jaws.
