Hey, I recently made my first appointment to see a gyno so I could be put on birth control. The only problem is my Mom told me we don't have any prescription insurance so for medication we need to pay the full amount. I'm 19 years old and I;m wondering if theres any cheap ones anyones on or if this has happened to anyone else. Thank you so much!

No insurance that I know of covers birth control which I find odd. It will pay for Viagra! So, even if you had prescription coverage it wouldn't cover BC pills. :) [ karenR's advice column | Ask karenR A Question ]

At least that's how it is here where I live. Also there are these birth control shots that you can get in your butt once a month and they're cheaper than paying for the pill. I hope I helped you.
