A yeast infection will not clear up on it's own. Talk to your doctor about anti-biotics to clear it up. Also, eating yogurt with active yeast cultures, as well as keeping the area very clean will help prevent you getting them.

If you don't know it is or not, then you need to go to the docters and get it checked. because it might be something else. i dont know that much about em but yeah go to the docter and if your embaressed, no need, because a lot of women get them.

First, let's make sure you have a yeast infection. If your really that positive, go to the doctor, and get checked up incase. Some symptoms of yeast infections are

1. Discharge that could look very much like cottage cheese.
2. Excessive itching and burning on the skin around your vagina.
3. A LOT of pain during sex.
4. Swelling of the vulva.

You can treat your yeast infection with a medicine you can get that you put in your vagina. And yes, you should definently go see your doctor everytime you know you have a yeast infection, or think you do. And don't worry, more then half the woman in the world get yeast infections at least once in their life, and many women get them more then once.

Just try not to wear tight clothes as much. If your in a bathing suit (that's wet) take it off as soon as possible. Make sure your vagina is mostly dry before putting on dry clothes. =)~ Hope I helped..

Razhie answered Tuesday July 5 2005, 6:01 pm:
If you have never had one before (as in, don't know exactly how it feels) go and get it checked out by a doctor first just in case.
If you have had one before you can just go and get a kit from your local drugstore, they are over the counter (normally right beside the condoms actually)

Yeast infections will not go away on thier own. They might seem to, because the itching stops eventually but all that means is that the infection has shifted deeper into your body where is can cause serious harm so DO NOT leave a yeast infection untreated.

In any store or local pharmacy, they USUALLY sell kits to help it go away, but you might want to see your family health council just in case and see what he or she says first. It definitely won`t go away by itself, you need either the creams/kit or to consult your family health council. If you need anything else, feel free to message =] Hope I`ve Helped ♥
