My friend has tried to kill herself many times because she thinks shes ugly. I tell her shes beautiful but she won't believe me. People make fun of her and say shes ugly, but I told her its just because they are JEALOUS. I feel if I post a picture of her on here, and I want to know if you guys really think shes ugly. Honestly, I think shes really pretty but she thinks I'm just saying that. I am going on vacation for a week and my neighbor has offered to water my garden and vegetables while we are gone. She is an older lady, not elderly but older. She lives next door, but we have a lot of land so it will be a hassle for her to come over and get out the hose, then roll it up again...but she offered and I need the help so I accepted.

My question is, I want to do something nice for her in return but I don't know what. I was thinking maybe a gift card to a grocery store or Wal Mart, but how much $$ is appropriate? Thanks for your advice!

maybe you should get her a giftcard... around $50 and maybe bring her something back like one of those gift shop things that you think she might like or bake her some cookies.

Okay, so i'm a 14/f. About 4 months ago, i was 125 pounds, and i was disgusted with my body. So i decided i was going to lose weight. Well i chose the wrong path to take. I basicly cut down on food. Well, now i am 115 pounds. And today i realized something was wrong.

I was starving, and my friend, my boyfriend and my mom went to the mall, we ate there and i had about 4 peices of orange chicken and like 3 pieces of broccoli, and a fork full of rice, and i was full and i thought i was going to throw up because i was so full.

And I'm not like that, usually, i can eat pretty well. Is there any eatting disorder that can relate to this, because i'm 99% sure i'm not Bulemic or Anorexic.

And please don't say "just eat more", it's harder than you think.

Help please?

i don't think you have an eating disorder because 10 pounds in 4 months is a speed to lose weight as... that's what a diet is, cutting back on food. that's just a diet. now if you cut back on all food THEN you have a problem. if you were full its because your diet was sucessful and you ate slow enough that you really enjoyed your food. i know a girl that lost 15 pounds in about 2 weeks by not eating... that's a problem and she didnt eat at all so you just need to eat until you are satisfied. no worries.

I want to go back to school shopping, i recently moved to a different state and i cant find any junior plus stores except deb, mervyns, and walmart. Ive tried googleing and it cant seem to find any places. any other suggestions for stores i dont care really where they are located but some place kinda cheap. thanks so much!

american eagle has plus sizes but i think you get them through the website. if you buy things on sale you can get them for about the same price as you would at wal mart so give it a try.

What are some good ideas to do on a date.
For like tongiht, a normal friday night, kinda warm out side. But nothing too expensive?

get ice cream, go to a drive in movie, go to the park and play, ride bikes, go canoeing, have a picnic.

well me and him are back together he asked me out and i said yeah...but he is being nice but he wants to go to this place where all my friends hangout and all his friends play soccer and we all hang out there and im just worried that he will hit on my friends...and tommorow he is going to new jersey with his friends but i dont trust his friends because they always try to break us up and i dont know what i should do should i be mad that he is going to the those places?...well thank you

If he asked you back out then he wants to be with you. trust is important in a relationship and if you are always suspicious and possesive, he will break up with you. let him go where he wants.. you cant control him and if you getall mad about it, he'll dump you. just chill out... he won't cheat on you and if he does then you'll know its not meant to be.

I got my hair cut about a week ago and its as short as i've ever gotten it... it is up to my chin... i just got 8.5 inches cut off... it is short and has some long layers in it this is the picture i showed my hair dresser that i wanted http://i7.tinypic.com/21aiws3.jpg
the only thing is my hair wont have that peicey look... is there anything i can do to get it that way? i have tried straighting it and putting ALL sorts of products in it... also, does anyone know of any cute hair styles i could do??

from experience, if you straighten it and then put it up in a messy pony tail (like all kinds of bumps) it gets peicy. also it you don't brush/comb it that helps. usually the dirtier it is the piecy-er it gets.

Well me and my friends were having dinner the other night. Her mom called because she was going to pick us up. When her mom asked if there were guys there (there was) she said no. But her brother came in to get us and he saw them and then told her mom. Her mom didn't care there were guys there she just cared that my friend lied. So now my friend has lost her parents trust by lying and she really wants to get it back.
Are there any ways you guys would suggest getting her parents trust back? Or if anyones been in this same type of situation maybe? Thanks.

Take it from the person who has lost her parent's trust several times over: it takes a while to gain it back. from now on, have her tell her mom the details about her plans... all the people going, no exceptions. if her mom didnt care, why did she lie in the first place? honesty is important and in the meantime she can think about how important it is to not tell a lie. maybe she can have the guys over to her house while her parents dont trust her so she can show them she knows how to behave.

okay well for a long time now (about 4-5 months) i have been telling my parents and my grandmother that i need like a counselor or something i used to have one before and my mom made me stop going because she didnt like the idea that someone was telling her she was wrong for some things. so what do i do if my parents wont help me and my grandmother wont either?

oh gee, that's tricky. you could see someone at school. I was in a similar situation and really all you can do is change your behavior, not theirs. a conselor telling them that they are wrong wont change anything for the better even though sometimes the parents do need to change. you can talk to another trusted adult...that's what helped me. if you want someone to talk to, leave me one in my inbox.

ok well im the counceler of a summer camp and at the end of it we're having this fun-dance and we have to choose a good dancing song from a movie to dance to. anything but highschool musical because another camp is doing it. and it cant have any swearing or bad stuff because theres kids in the camp.. just like from a disney movie or something like that. thanks!

I am going to be a freshman as of aug. 24 and i really want to make a good impression on everybody.What would be a good outfit to wear on orientation and the first day? i wear mostly peppy clothes i guess rather pricey brands: like a&f ae juicy and hollister but i am going to a school that is very mixed so i dont want to look like a snaob or a slut.
Also what type of back back is best for HS right now i bought a northface backpack that is all black. would a messanger bag be good what is trendy?

for my orientation i wore a polo and jeans from american eagle and just brought a normal bookbag.

I'm 13/f and I was talking online with a friend, who he is 17. We have alot in common and stuff, so he asked me out. I was just wondering, what do you think is the maximum age difference? I really like this guy, and if he was my age, I would go out with him without question, but, is this age different ok?

welllll i guess it's just a number but i think it'd be ok unless he only wants to be with you for the wrong reasons. i don't know the guy so i don't know what he's like and all. ask someone that knows him or your mom and see what they have to say about it because if she doesnt like him, you probably won't see each other often and where's the fun in that? you have my blessing tho.

i was looking at questions on this site and i came across one that i'm positive my "best friend" asked. she doesn't want to be my best friend anymore. i'm just really confused. we're going into high school, and i figured we'd both meet new people and if we grew apart, then so be it & if we stayed close, good. but why would she want to deliberately push us apart? i'm not holding her back from anything. what could have caused her to think like this? is it just a phase or should i move on? i mean, i have lots of other close friends but i'm just kind of surprised. why does she want a new best friend? can't you make new best friends without ditching your old ones? what should i do? thanks so muchh.

to tell you the truth, that happened with my best friend. as soon as highschool was right around the corner, she just stopped hanging out and all that and by the first wee we were through. we're on talking terms tho. my advice is to just move on. make some new friends. yes, it's hard... but sometimes its for the better. dont get into a huge fight about it so you can still talk sometimes but do make new friends. it might just be a phase so go with the flow. hope it all works out!

Im 17. My mom keeps pushing me to get a job. I want a job, because I want to get a car. But I realise that once I get a car, Ill have to pay for insurance and gas, so basically once I start working, I wont stop until Im like 60. That makes me sad because Im not ready to grow up yet. In one year Ill be an adult and Im just not ready for bills, work, college, and other big responsibilities.

Maybe make a deal with your mom... you get a job if she pays half of the car or insurance. maybe that will help you ease into all the financial responsibilities.

i've bought lots of furniture for my apartment online for really cheap, which is helpful 'cause i don't make much money. i really want to move to a foreign country and take all of the furniture with me. i heard that you can't take more furniture than you can fit into your car to the country (i'll be driving, not flying, to the foreign country). selling the furniture i have isn't worth much because it's all kind of old, so i can't sell it. what should/could i do?

I guess it really depends where you are going. you can rent a U-haul. it probably isn't tons of furniture since it is for an apartment. you can ask a friend to help you take things (especially if they have a truck) or help you move in or get a whole group of friends to help then have a little party at your new house after. like i said, it really depends how far/where you are moving. you can pay for their gas if that's an incentive for them.

target had hello kitty pillows a while back and they usually have pink things. if your bedspread is pink, i wouldnt advise pink walls too. but for accesories try jcpenny, sears, walmart, victoria's secret online, spencer's has tons of playboy stuff!

So my dad tells me how nobody in reality is going to respect me because i have a tongue ring. I thought respecting somebody wasnt because of how they look [as in having a tongue ring] and because i have 17 piercings. I swear he is embarassed of me and he wants like the perfect little daughter or something

My parents say the same thing. it's not that they don't respect you but like they'll look down on you for, know what i mean? i know there's nothing wrong with it and everyone has their own style but it's one of those things most people consider a sign of being "young & stupid". he just wants people to not judge you and the tounge ring might get you some unwanted judgement. it's a hard thing to understand and explain. just go with it, ley him think what he wants... you do still have the piercing so does it matter?
