Many of my friends say that I am a good listener and advice giver. Because I have experienced many good and bad situations, I know what it is like to feel down or confused. I am a mother, daughter, sister, girl friend, and friend. And if I can't figure out how to answer a question, I'm sure I know someone who can. And I've come to notice that most of the questions people ask they already know the answer to, they just need a little reassurance. But I will warn you that my policy is, if you ask a stupid question, you will get a stupid answer. But i will say that it is my joy to help anyone with a real problem, so ask away!

ok recently i've been going out with my bestfriends brother. She doesnt' kno and if she did she would kick my ass! i don't kno wat to do. WE really like eathother. and she knows that he's all i think about! but she still doesn't get it.. im always feeling guilty! should i tell her or should i keep it a secret? i don't kno wat to do... i dont' wanna lose her as a friend and i don't wanna lose him as a bf. i dont' wanna be a bad friend but he really is all i thnk about and talk about she just doesn't understand.... but wen it comes to the same situations with her she doesn't care wat i think and she does her thing wiht them... if she can do it and doens't care wat i think then why can't she except wat i want??

You and your bf need to sit down and have a chat with his sister/your friend. You have to tell her what is going on. If you don't you will continue to feel guilty. And if she finds out from someone else rather than the 2 of you she will be really pissed because she will feel betrayed, like you have been lying to her all this time. So just come clean with her. If she can't accept the fact that the 2 of you make eachother happy, then try to explain to her that its stupid for her to feel that way because it is not going to change your friendship. But if she can't understand then you are just gonna have to deal with it. And I'm sure her brother will not let her kick your ass, so don't worry about that. Hope I helped and Good Luck! :)

Can u help me ? .. ok i liked this kid named james and my friend said he was hot to but then there was this other kid named nick that liked me he was ok but my friend was persuading me to go out with the nick because she thought it would be good she was like " give him a chance james styll has a girlfriend u wont be able to go out with him " [ cuz he did ] but he told everyone he was gonna break up with her for me but i didn't know that so i went out with nick cuz everything my friend said i thought made sence but no it really didn't because then yesturday shes all up on him kissen and stuff when i`m ova here with my boyfriend that i`m not even sure if i like .. i know i shouldn't of went out with him so i told him in a nice way we should just be friends.. so now james tells me online he likes me and doesn't like my friend and he broke up with his girlfriend to go out with me and i told him i broke up with nick because i liked him to .. so now i think he is gonna ask me out because thats wat his friend said but what can i do b.c if i go out with him my friend will probably be madd but i really like him tho !! Hmm... think about it... YOUR FRIEND TOLD YOU TO GO FOR NICK BECAUSE SHE WANTED JAMES. She probably knew James was breaking up with his girl, and wanted to take advanugae of that before you could so she persuaded you to go the other way. The way that you really didn't want to go. Thats some messed up stuff. You were right to tell Nick you just want to be firends. And if you like James, then you should go with your gut instinct like you should of in the 1st place. Forget about your friend, she obviously wasn't thinking about you when she pushed you into this whole situation. Just make sure though, that you talk to James about completely cutting your friend short, because you don't need him dippin and dabbin between the 2 of you. If you feel you can trust him then go for it. And let this big mess be a lesson to you: DON'T ASK ANY GIRL WHO MAY LIKE THE GUY YOU LIKE FOR ADVICE BECAUSE SHE WILL BE SELFISH, EVEN IF SHE IS YOUR BEST FRIEND. My boyfriend, we'll call him *Bob*, and i always fight...like seriously, we can't get through a day with out fighting about something. but i love him with all my heart...and couldn't break up with him even if i tried...but what should i do? i can't handle all the argueing?

Try to avoid arguments. Even when somtthing really gets to you, think about how stupid it would be to start another fight, and just be the bigger person and don't let it get to you. You can also talk to your boyfriend (without arguing) and ask him if he has noticed how much the 2 of you have been fighting and what are some ways these things can be avoided. Tell him you love him, and you know this relationship can work but the 2 of you have to get out of this "fighting phase" Good Luck! :)

If you think sending the text message will soften things up ten ago. It sounds sweet. But he probably is just having fun, so don't sweat it, no one is perfect. And when you talk to him tomm, just don't bring anything from that last convo up. Good Luck! :)

Ok, I really like this guy Dillon and I also like his friend Drew but Drew told me he likes me too but has a girlfriend. Dillon on the other hand is single and I dont know if he likes me too but Dillon and I broke up earlier in the year I still love him and I want to tell him but I like Drew too. Wut do I do?

alright, i've got a moderately small and intricate clique at school. about 6 girls. anyway, we're all best friends, and don't really hang out with anyone more than anybody else. but then someone else joined our little group (lindsay). and joy has been really down(who's usually really outgoing and loud) she just, i dunno, she and lindsay hung out a whole lot. they have a million inside jokes, and they can't be separated more than 2 feet. joy tells lindsay virtually everything... like why she's so depressed and stuff. things she won't tell us at all.
the rest of us feel kind of like she dumped us, i guess. dropped us for someone more worthy or something. i confronted her, and she felt all bad and stuff, but she just went back to lindsay, and i feel like i'm losing a friend... what should i do?

It is okay for your friend to have afriend. And let her know that. but also let her know that you and the rest of your friends feel left out. And that you would appreciate if she would let all of you know when she is down because you are all there for her and care for her. If she can't understand where you are coming from, then you will unfortunately just have to deal with it. Hopefully she will come back around. but you have to understand that when friends get older sometimes they just grow apart. I know it sucks, but its life. Hope I helped you out. :)

Due to an error that really messed up the site today, I've set up the "give advice" page to operate in "backlog mode" (because, well, we're backlogged). What this means is that instead of just seeing the newest questions first, you're seeing questions with the fewest answers first. After someone answers a question, it gets bumped down. This helps to make sure every question gets answered, and all the questions are answered equally. Questions three days old just aren't shown at all.

I put the site in this mode because we're in an emergency situation, but what do you think of it? Should we have it like this all the time, so questions with no answers are at the top, waiting for you? Or do you think we should go back to the old way, so you always see the newest questions when you click on "give advice"?

I reallt dont like it this way. I mean its good that we get to see who's questions didn't get answered yet, but it also sucks because I can't check out how my column is doing by just clinking on that link on the side bar, now I have to look myself up, which is kind of annoying. I liked it better the other way.

ok so i have a bf and one of our friends is having this party. he will be there and so will some of my friends that have never met him be4. i really dont want them to meet him becuz:
1) if they think hes hot theyll b all over him
2) if they think hes ugly later they wont shut up
3) either way they will be really annoying and say stuff to him that i wouldnt want them to
i already talked to them they dont care they said i need to calm down etc.

Who cares what the hell your friends think. he is your man not theirs! If they are all over him then put them in their place and if they think hes ugly, so what, as long as you like him who cares what they think. Have a good time at the party and good luck! :)

Just kiss him before you 2 part on the way home form school. It's normal to be scared, but don't think about it just do it. You will feel alot better and alot bigger afterwards. Good Luck! :)

theres this guy and ive known him for a while now ((were the same age)) cuz hes my dads friends son and our familys get together every once in a while and just the other day we planned to go camping and when i got there my mom and his mom both told me to go w/ him and play golf and play games at the arcade w/ my brother and his brother so i did and then we talked for a while n then all the parents and kids went to another cabin late at night becuz they had dinner and me n him n my brother stayed back at our camp site and we sat down at a table and talked for like 3 hours and stuff and my brother like just listened cuz hes younger then us so we were talking n stuff and then he told my brother later on when the parents came back that he rilly liked me and then my brother told me that and then i was like o kewl and then at like 1 in the morning we were doing fireworks cuz its close to the 4th and we were bored and so my brother his brother me n him and there dad all did fireworks for a while and he stood by me and was asking me a bunch of questions like have u ever kissed a guy do u have a bf and stuff like that and i was assuming he wanted to kiss me cuz he was like well have u ever kissed a guy do u ever want to who do u want to kiss n stuff like that so then the next day we had to leave which was today and i mean i already like another guy but i like him to but i dont know if i would want to go out w/ him cuz he lives like an hour away and i dont see him that much only when our familys get together but i mean i like him a lot and idk wut to do! help pleez!!

Well maybe it is cool that this was a one time thing. Like you said you really don't see the guy. but in the future if the 2 of you still have this chemistry, maybe you should give it a chance. but I think the only reason you are crushin on him now is because he was the only guy around that was your age on the trip, an dit probably felt good to be noticed like that. im gonna be a freshman next year and im really afraid im not gonna fit in. see i have plenty of friends now but i worked pretty hard to get and keep them. im... different to say the least and a lot of people dont get me and now it feels like i have to start all over again to find friends. and frankly, im not sure how. im kinda anti-social in a way... i dont like people on a whole lol cause they're stupid... but i do like meeting new people and i would really like to make some new friends

i have a best friend that told me she moving in 3-4weeks. i wish she wasnt moving, but i dont know what to do. if she moves i'll never get to see her agian or hang out with her. we hang out every day and when she leaves i want get to any more. im really sad. i want to tell her how i feel and i have been but it wont make a diffrence if she moves or not. i cant not make her move, she has all ready bought a house, and selling the one she leaves in now. she my best friend in the whole world. when she leaves i dont know what to do, i'm going to be sad. help me!!!!!!!!!!!!
