Due to an error that really messed up the site today, I've set up the "give advice" page to operate in "backlog mode" (because, well, we're backlogged). What this means is that instead of just seeing the newest questions first, you're seeing questions with the fewest answers first. After someone answers a question, it gets bumped down. This helps to make sure every question gets answered, and all the questions are answered equally. Questions three days old just aren't shown at all.
I put the site in this mode because we're in an emergency situation, but what do you think of it? Should we have it like this all the time, so questions with no answers are at the top, waiting for you? Or do you think we should go back to the old way, so you always see the newest questions when you click on "give advice"?
Answer with your opinion!

Because now when you answer a question and then go back to the "Veiw Questions" its gone down lower sometimes or off the first page.
I personaly DO NOT like it. But prehaps I am wrong.
I just think that it kinda messes everything up. I liked it the way it was before because it seemed very organised, now it seems like evey time I want to give advice it's like the questions are moving in a way.
This is my opinion, may be wrong but it's what i think.
chaos answered Thursday July 8 2004, 9:00 am: I think it is better to see the newest questions first because some people need their advice more quickly than others. It doesn't bother me to sort through the days question to answer those that have no answer at all. [ chaos's advice column | Ask chaos A Question ]
selectopaque answered Tuesday July 6 2004, 10:20 pm: This way seems good. That way there aren't ten questions at the very beggining that have been answered 20 times already.
I want to change this. The only problem with this way is if there are questions at the top that have been rated with the lowest rating, and they happen to not get answered by very many people, then that might be a problem. [ selectopaque's advice column | Ask selectopaque A Question ]

MFS answered Tuesday July 6 2004, 9:22 pm: I think putting it in this mode for maybe a day or two should be fine... I use the "view questions" mode for scanning the material. But I typically paruse the "Advice Topics" view for looking for things to answer - makes it easier to keep things topical. [ MFS's advice column | Ask MFS A Question ]
LilMia811 answered Tuesday July 6 2004, 8:54 pm: I reallt dont like it this way. I mean its good that we get to see who's questions didn't get answered yet, but it also sucks because I can't check out how my column is doing by just clinking on that link on the side bar, now I have to look myself up, which is kind of annoying. I liked it better the other way. [ LilMia811's advice column | Ask LilMia811 A Question ]
-CaItY-n-JaMeSoN- answered Tuesday July 6 2004, 8:05 pm: no i think you should go back to normal because some people just dont wait for people to answer, they might ask the question n then have to get off n then they look the next day and their question isnt there any more, please change it!!!!
