Often times life is a challenge, and nobody knows that better than me. I wake up wondering if this is going to be a day my illness overpowers my meds, and either sends me flying like a bat out of hell, or leaves me laying on the couch like a wet dish rag.

i quit smoking and i don't drink caffeine what so ever.. my teeth are a bit yellow and i really want to whiten them.. what is the best way? i have a couple of fillings at the back that don't really show. and my teeth are generally in good health. any recommendations? oh and i just moved cities so i don't have a fixed dentist i am going to visit cosmetic dental clinics until i get one...

If your teeth are stained from smoking, the best way of getting the stains removed is by having the dentist do it once you find one.
Coffee, tea, and tobacco stain your teeth bad, as I'm sure you know. (I know I do, too.)

You can try over the counter whitening products, but I think you will end up finding out with tobacco stains, it really can be a waste of your money.
Then again, you may have better luck than me.

You could get a perm of large, loose curls. They can use large rods to do it. Getting a perm can't be any worse than daily heat damage with a curling iron. That, and it would make doing your hair every day that much quicker and easier.

On average, human hair grows at a rate of 1/4" per month. There is no way to make it grow faster.

The only thing you can do to help it along is to keep it healthy, and when you notice split ends or breakage, get a trim.

They say that everything on your computer will stay on your computer somewhere. In a ghost form, or something.
I don't know exactly how it works, but I know they have caught people doing criminal acts by bringing all the criminal stuff up from the hard drive, even after they erased the hard drive.
I don't know if it applies to websites visited, but I'm pretty sure that goes for anything you download.

okay
so i got the new ipod nano for christmas
and i think i already broke it
okay
so i go to i tunes to go and puc songs onto my ipod
and my sis already had an ipod so i already had itunes downloaded(she has the normal ipod nano)
but when i stuck my ipod on it says i need the newwer version
so i downloaded the newer version which is a 7.5 or 7.4(i can't member)
and then it said something about how i need to restore my ipod on itunes
so i go to the summary tab and i click restore
and everytime i try to turn my ipod on it won't turn on
it'll say go to itunes and restore
and i've done it a couple of times now
but nothing is working
so if you have any odeas on how to fix it
that would be nice
and if you can tell me how you put songs onto your ipod can help also
b/c i don't think itunes helps

im 17 and a senior...well im going ot oregon and gonna be a junior cuz thats how there credits work out for me. well i have 13 credits and need 2 more to be a senior i take 3 classes online and they are 1/2 credits and i take 4 classes from my school now, how do i get all my credits for college and get into oregon state..

When you go to Oregon, they will place you in the junior class so you will be able to get all of the required credits needed to graduate their school and go into college.
Best thing I can think of is to look up the school's website online, find where you can contact the school, and ask them if there is anything they can suggest for you to get the 2 credits you need to go to their school as a senior when you move there.

Okay, so I got a Zune for Christmas. But I'm having problems with the software I have to download for it. I looked at the box and it instructed me to go to 'www.zune.net/setup', so I go there and download the software.

It was the right version of the software and everything, and I did not have my Zune plugged in while the software was downloading (It said not to). When I plugged my Zune in after it was all downloaded, the software came up automatically like it was supposed to. But the problem was that the entire thing was just messed up. There were like lines and stripes everywhere and symbol-like things that were messed up as well and too small to read even if it wasn't messed up.

I deleted all of it and tried downloading it off the website again, but this time it said 'Software is already downloaded onto computer'. But I deleted it...

I really, really need help with this. Anyone?

Did you go into your computer control panel and delete it from Add/Remove programs? That -should- remove the entire program.
If that doesn't work, and you don't get an answer that does, ask theymos. He's very computer savvy.

so i had sex on the 19th of this month and i was supposed to get my period on the 24th.. and the past 2 months i have been getting it on the 24th but before that i was a week late every time.. so far i still havent gotten my period.. but i have been experiencing some cramps, but very light cramps, not like period cramps. i also have been getting headachs and lost my appetite for eating.. and like a day or two after i had sex i had a sore throat. so i dont know if these are pregnancy symptoms or what? do you guys think im pregnant? and also it was my first time and i was drunk and it was a very very stupid idea especially not using a condom.. and i very much regret it ..

Most likely, you are just irregular this time. That happens. Your cycle generally isn't perfectly regular every month during your teen years.

The best way to get accurate pregnancy test results are to wait until you are at least 1 week late for your period if you are an adult, and at least 2 weeks if you are a teen (because of the high probability of irregular period).

Sounds like symptoms of PMS. Sore throat isn't a sign of pregnancy, or PMS, so I guess you just had a sore throat that day.

If you are talking about the old story my uncle used tease me about, where the kids are kissing and their braces get stuck together- that won't happen.

Braces just become another part of your mouth while they are there. I don't see how anything would be different, unless you decide to go all vampire on his lip or something...

What is the best camera for taking pictures of people. Preferably under $1000 Thanks

I have a Kodak Easyshare. It cost around $400 when I got it last year. I have taken countless pictures of my son and family members, and they come out great.

It is a digital camera, so I find it best to use Paint Shop Pro for editing the photos, but the Easyshare software that came with the camera works great for photo editing, too.

Listen, I'm not the "girly-girl" type. I never have been, I never will be. I don't wear make-up and primp up my hair. I wear t-shirts and blue jeans.
Folks didn't try to pull that "let's give you a make-over" crap on me, because I made it clear that I'm not down for that. I wasn't rude about it, but I was firm about it. I made it clear that if they had any respect for me, they would leave me alone.

Don't get all rude and angry with the girls trying to do the whole make-over thing. They probably feel like they are helping you by trying to get you all gussied up. They don't know any better- being girly is the only thing they know.

Just demand folks to respect you for WHO you are. You don't have to get nasty with them to do that. Just tell them "Fine. Gotta like me for what I look like rather than the person I am, then go piss up a rope." Folks like that aren't worth your time and energy to begin with.

If people are calling you names, then you can't stop it, but you can chose to ignore it. You certainly don't want to conform to what they think you should be.

They probably really do it because they know it makes you mad. Folks like that get great pleasure out of watching your angry/upset/hurt reaction. By getting all mad, you are only giving them the satisfaction they are seeking and don't deserve.

Just try to stay calm and not let them affect your happy existence. Keep being that unique individual who is so awesome, keep loving who you are, be proud of it, and don't let anyone take that away from you. Stop letting the opinions of others effect you.

When they call you names, just laugh while keeping in the back of your mind that they are all clones of one another, because they don't have the courage to stand apart from the crowd.
They are surely too self absorbed to realize you aren't laughing with them- you are laughing at them.

alright this might sound strnge but..

Okay last time I had sex was august, I don't remember if I got my period I september but I KNOW I got it in October. I missed november and so far, December. My friends tell me its probaly because I only had my period for not even a year and its still irregular, but i don't know I'm convinced I'm preagnut I even think I'm getting bigger and in losing my appitate. Write out all the mean and hurtful things they say and do to you when they are angry, then hand it to them when they are being "normal."
Ask them how it would make them feel for their parents to say and do such things to them. Tell them that it makes you feel sad, hurt, and unloved by the two people in the world who aren't supposed to make you feel that way.
Don't try to talk to them about it when they are angry, or they will likely only get angrier and defensive.

15/f. To make a long story short, I met a guy online..he told me that he liked me a lot after three months of talking...he's 18. okay. At first, he didn't want to be too flirty with me seeing as how he could get in major trouble for harassing a minor. There is no easy way to tell him, so best way to do it is to just come out and say it. Be alone together somewhere and just blurt it out.
"I'm pregnant."
There. Done. Like ripping off a band aid.

Tell him the very next time you see him. The longer you wait is the more he may be hurt by you not saying something sooner.

You've been together for 2 years, so I don't know why he would just bolt on you.

Before you even consider what you are going to do, you need to tell him and ask what he feels is the right thing to do. It's his baby, too.
I know a girl who had an abortion without discussing it with the father and he was absolutely crushed.
He has the right to take equal part in making the best decision.

I'm sixteen and since I was ten (young I know) I dated this guy. I was with him for a little of six years on and off. More on than off though. We dated for about a year straight the first time he asked me out. We were really young, but it was cute, ya know? So anyways as we got older we would take "breaks" and see other people. It's no easy task to forget your first love.
The thing of it is, you just have to try to. He isn't available at this time. If you still feel this way about him and haven't moved on when the time comes that he is available again, then try to make something of it.
In the meantime, there isn't a lot you can do. You can't change your feelings, but you can't let it consume you, either.

my brother got his very first girlfriend. hes 16. im 14. and i was happy for him and whatnot, but once i met her... i wasnt happy anymore. they've been going out for 2 months now. and she comes over like everyday and its really annoying. he writes her love notes and crap like everyday and its quite sickening. and i dont even think she feels the same way about him. she doesnt even like me and my brother tells her the meanest things about me to her which makes her hate me more. ive tried being nice, but in the end, i cant. i really DO NOT like her. and my brother gets soo offencive if i talk about her. shes coming over my grandma's house for christmas eve tomorrow. and its a family thing. and im totaly against her coming, but no one seems to care. earlier today i told my brother that she shouldnt come because shes not part of the family and i didnt really like her. well, he turned around and slapped me. like, i joke around saying "ohh! i cant wait til ya'll break upp!!" and i usually dont stay around to see his reaction cause i know it wouldnt be pretty. lol but, i dont mean it.

one time, he was on the phone with her and also on the computer talking to her, which is annoying, and me and my friend were sittin there on the couch, and i called his girlfriend a hoe. How can he assume you don't mean what you say about her when it's obvious you can't stand her?
Best solution is to just respect her out of respect your brother. That makes you the bigger person.
Ignore her.
If she comes into your room to be rude, tell her that is your personal space, and to stay out. She has no business just barging her way into your room.

And you want to know something? You and her may hate each other, but she needs to respect your brother enough to respect his sister. He may not realize that now, but he will in due time.
In a couple of years, he will understand that he can't let a girl come between him and you, and he probably won't.

Don't worry. He won't be with her forever. Just stop harassing him about her, and he will hopefully stop harassing you about her.
Really, when you tease him about her and all, you are adding fuel to the fire.
