Ok, I read the little question requirements and this wasnt on there. I like this guy and I dont know if he likes me. 2 weeks ago he was dumped by his last gf. Since then he has been really really sweet to me. Like if I am cold he will give up his jacket, he comes in my classes in passing period and says hey to me. It's quite possible. I'd say be careful though, he could just be looking for someone because he recently got dumped. If he hasn't been all upset and emo about his breakup, then you should be able to look forward to something good. I'm sure he'll ask you out soon.

OK...i have a problem...im 15 years old and every saturday my mom and her husband go out to a bar around here and if my sisters working me and my bestfriend are stuck babysitting...I cant do nothing til my sister getz off and she dont usually get off til 10 and theres nothing to do really then but i hate to tell my mom "no" because she has done stuff for me that she didnt wanna do but i have to do this Every Saturday and im SICK of it...it is causing alot of problems with me and my friends and it caused problems with me and my ex for a long time and i dont get to go nowhere on saturdays without hauling him around and hes only 3 so i have 2 take a car seat...diapers...juice and everything for him and most of my friends doesnt like to put up with me when we go out and i dont blame them...what should i do? You should realize that you're fifteen and should let your parents have one night to enjoy. You could tell your mom no, but that would be pretty messed up. Anyways, she could make you do it whether you like it or not. Just do it, you should appreciate what you parents do for you everyday and do this thing for them.

Do any other girls have a list of qualities that they want in a potential boyfriend? I have a list of about 20 things that I want a guy to have before I date him.
For example, he must be a non-smoker, have a good job, live on his own, be neat in appearance, have a vehicle, and no children from a previous relationship. These are just some of the things. I had one guy ask me out but because he lived with his mother and smoked I turned him down. Another guy asked me out and he had a 5 year old daughter, so I turned him down to. Some people say I being too picky, well I tell them I just have high standards.
Part of the reason for this is because my last boyfriend was a total loser. He was on welfare, he didnt have a car or a license, he was dirty, he smoked, and was financially and mentally abusive to me.
Do any other woman have high standards? And do you think I'm being too picky? Also do you think I'm scared of being hurt again so that is why I strive so high, and subconsiously I'm doing this so I won't have a boyfriend again?

You're probably scared of being hurt again. It seems like you do have high standards. I mean, what if someone has 19 out of the 20 things, so basically perfect. But that one thing is he smokes. Are you going to turn him down? One of the things about relationships is looking past your partners imperfections. I'm not saying you have to accept someone who is a serial killer or rapist, but them smoking, or something else like that.

Ugh, please learn to use some sort of punctuation. This was hard to read and VERY hard to follow. Now, you need to stop being selfish. Your friend obviously cares about how you feel, but at the same time would you like your friend keeping you from someone you like? Just get over it. He liked her and not you. It' me again, the girl who asked you about the guy who was in that really bad marriage.
Well remember I told you that he gave me his old computer?
Well he is coming over next week to help me install some programs. I think it would be a perfect chance to ask him what he thinks about us being together.
The problem is that he is really shy (and so am I) so what would be an appropriate way to start out the conversation? I want him to know that I really care about him and think that he would make a great father one day.
But like you said, I don't want to say divorce your wife and marry me.

This is tough. Believe it or not I'm really shy in real life. I would have the toughest time trying to think of something. Maybe ask him if he ever wants to have kids of his own one day, or casually get him to talk about how his life is going and whats going on with his wife and marriage. Try and find out from him that he isn't happy with his marriage before even trying to be the friend and helping him through it. So far this seems like it's going to be tough, and take a lot of effort and stepping outside of normal boundries (since you're shy, I completely understand), but it sounds like it would be worth it. So yeah, approach him by getting him to tell you how he feels about his wife and marriage. I can't really tell you what to say, I don't know him. So with your knowledge of him, turn my vague idea into more of a personal one. Then, once you have him say he's not happy, is when you should be the friend and offer any help. Let him know you'll always be there for him. I don't however know when the best time to bring up how you feel for him will be. If you bring up it too soon it'll seem like you're just a homewrecking harlot trying to steal him, but you could also time it poorly and get him while he's emotionally unstable from any marriage problems. So just play that one by how you feel. I'm really glad I've been able to help you so far.

What's wrong with me?
My parents think I'm strange and that I have something weird going on with me. "I have weird habits and a weird way of thinking."
Habits as in...counting the number of cracks I've stepped on, the times i circle around something, the seconds im in somewhere and if its not under a certain time then i..feel the need to start over..and then im yelled at when im still doing it ...I dunno. People think I'm retarded X___x I didn't notice that i was doing this stuff... i just do it because...its what i've always been doing..then people pointed it out. Its like ringing the doorbell a couple of times..before entering because..its just..there. I always think about something. I'm afraid of pain. I'm afraid to do P.E. in class. I'm afraid of running..tripping and landing on the ground..seeing blood or having my arm bend the wrong way or having my fingers crushed or having those bent the wrong way. It makes me sick. I don't want to twist my ankle or have a ball hit my face..because it might hit my ear piercings and those might rip out and hurt. I've got glue on eyelashes and I've just recently thought..what if i get the glue in my eye? My eyes will start to water and then i might get eye problems...might have to go see a doctor...and then i get awful images.. I dunno. I always worry a lot. Also.. my little sister was going across the street to a friends house...in my head I heard a loud crash..and had images of her lying in the street covered in blood and...blah. My boyfriend had this safety pin in his mouth...and it was open and for about 20 mins..he was talking with it still in his mouth..and all i could think about is.. what would happen if it cut him...or if he swallowed it and it got stuck..and i couldn't do a thing about it because there was no adult around.. argh. Am I stupid?

Some of those things point toward symptoms of OCD (obsessive compulsive disorder). Now I am in now way a psychologist, so I am not going to tell you that you have it, but I will say you have symptoms of it so you can take it from there.

If you have OCD, some major signs of it are the things you do. They're called "rituals". Pretty much its a thing you do, a certain way everytime, that if you don't do you'll have anxiety (having to go back and do it again). The whole ringing doorbells is a common one. Maybe not doorbells, but doing stuff a couple times like locking doors, closing windows, whatever. You should say something to your doctor though, that way you can get a professional to tell you what is wrong.

I wanted to ask you a question because your advice cuts to the chase and you don't sugar coat things. Also, you're a guy and I need a guys opinion.
Well I am friends with a married man and his marriage has been dead for the last two years. He is in his early 40's and has never had children, and his wife (it's her second marriage) is ten years older then him and has two grown kids in their 30's who have stolen money from him. They are both herion addicts and the last time her son stole from him he told everyone that he wanted to punch him out. They ( him and his wife) have nothing in common and fight constantly. She is a chain smoker ( and he's a non smoker) so I think that's an issue in the marriage. Everyone has seen them fighting, they fight in public and he has called her stupid behind her back.
Anyways, now that I've established what a rocky marriage they have, I'll get into the question part. Well I am 27 and have never had children. One day I was talking to my married friend and told him how much I wanted to be a mother one day. He was listening intently and told me what a great mom I would be. I've also (when he's been with his wife) caught him looking at me with these large sad eyes. I think he has real feelings for me because he gave me his old computer and desk without me even asking for it.
Well I know what your thinking, that I am a little homewrecker but we have never done anything sexual. Infact he knows that I am saving myself for my husband and that I want to be in a stable marriage. I am a Christian and would never have an affair.
I think he would be a good father and I know how unhappy he is with his wife.
Should I tell him how I feel, maybe he is feeling the same but is scared to say anything.
Do you think we have any chance together?

Normally I would say, "Leave them alone, don't do anything that would cause them to break up," but that is when fourteen year old girls talk about how that bitch stole the hot guy they liked. It sounds like this guy is miserable tough, and could be doing a lot better. So I think you should say something to him. Even if you both don't end up together, at least get him out of that unhappy future it seems he's about to have. If things do end up working out, and he is the great man and father you think he'd be, then it works out in the end for the both of you.

Don't think of yourself as a homewrecker. I'm very against cheating and being unfaithful to your partnes, but from what you've told me there isn't anything unfaithful. You're just looking out for your friend. So just start by finding out how he really feels about his marriage and getting him through that. Don't just come out with, "Divorce her and marry me," but help him get to a point where he can figure out what he really wants to do. Be a friend first, and more when he's ready.
