Im a senior at Saguaro High School, though upon graduation I fully intend on going to Greystone University in Nappa, California. hey im a guy...and no im not planning on getting an abortion. i was just wondering something: why is it that girls/women abort children instead of adopt them? i know there are plenty of reasons why, but is there one (or more) that would overshadow the case of giving birth then putting the baby up for adoption. looking for a girls point of view on this, because even if the girl didn't want the baby, would there be something wrong in giving it away instead of killing it? thanks, will rate. There are many many different circumstances, and its wrong to say its entirely "selfish". Sure, some women have purely selfish reasons. Maybe it was a completely unplanned pregnanacy and they dont want to ruin their figure. As much as I hope that wasnt the case, it probably has been before.
The other thing you said that really grated on me was "they put themselves into that situation." What if it was a rape victim? They have no control over that, and honnestly I would never want a child from such a horrible experiance. Its not fair to either the mother or the child. Can you imagine that baby growing up? "Mommy, who was my daddy?" "A sleezy predator that raped me." I dont think so.
And what about a child thats going to be born with major birth defects? It would be cruel to ask that child to live in that state or amount of pain for the rest of its life. Abortion isnt a black and white subject, thats why its so controversial. You cant lump reasons into little categories like you tried too. There are thousands of reasons, with thousands of answers.

My name is Alexa and i am 15 years old. Ever sense i can remember i have gotten these sharp shooting pains in my lower legs and ankels. The only thing that helps is motrin,tylenol,advill, ect. i get them about once a week or sometimes more. I dont know what causes it, and docters dont know either.i get it mostly when i have been on my feet a lot that day, but sometimes thats not the case. all i know it is very painful and it wakes me up for hours at night every once and a while.Im scared that taking to much medicen will hurt me in the long run. Does anybody else have this problem or know what it is. Will i outgrow this???

This song is about drugs. Heroin addicts wrap a black balloon around their arms in order to inject the drug into their veins. Maybe the guy in the song almost gets caught up in the drug use, or just allows himself to be enveloped in the girl's problems ("I almost fell into that hole in your life"). The boy wonders why he is the only person the girl trusts. He watches her life crumble before his eyes. The "ice from the spoon" refers to the drug that the girl heats on a spoon to prepare it for injection. "Comin' down the world turned over" refers to how she feels as her high wears away. He tries to save her by showing her the love she never felt and that she looks for in heroin. The drug is her "womb," or her shelter from the harsh realities of life. It was this that caused her death, despite the boy's attempts to save her. The lines "And I go on as you grow colder" and "Or are you someone's prayer?" reveals that heroin took her life. Though this is a sad demise, the song ends with hope. "And I'll become what you became to me" shows that the boy has learned what love is. The girl, with all her problems, enveloped the boy with her love and devotion, and this was important to him. He wants to be like that, minus the addiction. The girl taught him about love, an invaluable lesson, despite her untimely death.

To give a little background, my boyfriend and I have been together for over a year I'm 16 and he's 17. He would always get things in the mail from the Army, Navy and the Marines. He would save them, show it to me and I'd rip it up and tell him he's not going. The thought of my boyfriend going away to war is something I just CAN'T handle.
I was in his room, cleaning it up while he was in the shower like I always do and I found a flyer that had the information about the Navy on it... I was getting ready to rip it up when I saw that he had signed up for it..
I always told him that I'd be heartbroken if he would sign up for anything that COULD get him killed.
I'm trying SO hard to understand... But I can't. I don't know why he would do this to me. He keeps saying it's for the best but I KNOW it's not the best for him. He always told me he'd never leave me, but by doing this I feel like he is. He always told me, "You don't know what I would give just to see your beautiful face every day and just to have you in my arms, even if it's for 5 minutes." He's told me he wants to be the father of my children, my husband, my one and only.. If he's at war, how is he going to do that??
I really want to convince him NOT to go, but that's just being selfish... But at the same time I want him here with ME. I don't want to live every day in fear that I'll get that knock on my door and having someone tell me that the love of my life was killed.
So my questions are... SHOULD I convince him not to go and explain to him why I don't want him to?
If not, how can I get over this? How can I deal with it every day knowing that my boyfriend is risking his life? (link)

It is his life, and you are only 16 and 17. You have a very long time ahead of you and you should realize that while you want it to, it may not last forever. Dont force him to make a choice he doesnt want to make and ruin his chances for a good future. I understand how you feel, Ive had friends go over there, and yes, one did die. But he died doing something he believed in, and while it pains me, it was his choice.

Uh uh. All you have to go off is their word, unfortunantly. But then again, its pretty much the same for a girl. I suppose youd find out eventually, but its not like you can CHECK to see if their cherry has been broken or not.

Well, if you honnestly think your mom will react badly and freak out, then find a Planned Parenthood somewhere near you, figure out a bus route, and go yourself. Its completely confidential and they are not allowed to say anything to your parents unless you want them too.
Id recomend getting a depo shot instead. It costs the same, and all they do is give you one shot and then you go and get another three months later, and so on. Much easier, and you wont be able to forget to take it, like the pill. Do some research, find out what would be best for you.

Get a job or if you're too young, do odd jobs around the neighborhood for people and collect some extra money. Greyhound busses only cost about 16 dollars for that distance, normally. Save up and go see him every now and then.
Or try to make him do the same. If he isn't willing to go out of his way for you, you shouldn't even bother to go out of your way for him.

Gatorade has electrolytes in it, which does do all of the things it says it does (replinish, refuel, ect). However, it usually makes you crash and burn later. Water is always the best choice when on hand, but if you want quicker results, go with the gatorade.

Just eat healthier and excersize. It may seem like alot of work, but thats what you have to do. Dont take any pills. If you do that, its the equivalent to taking drugs, since most metabolism enhancers have the same chemical makeup as speed does.

what are some healthy ways i can relieve stress? besides eating. I have a habit to eat everything in site when i am stressed. but i dont gain anything. maybe that is why. im 15 and weigh 90 lbs. so, i need a healthier way to relieve stress. what is a good way to relieve stress when i am at school? because i cant eat everything in sight at school. an average lunch i take in 450 calories. I have the same problem, only I take it out on my poor fingernails. I find it helps if you try to do something with your hands. Take up drawing or writing, twiddle with a pencil, whatever keeps you occupied. For me, music is the best stress reliever. Listen to your headphones as often as you can, anything along those lines.
