I have a very big fear of the dark. The thing is Its not beacuse of just a little thing like scary movies or stuff like that. I had a really bad expierence in the dark at a hospital after one of my heart surgerys. I can't go anywhere without a light on or someone close by. Its kinda silly i no but i need help. How do I slowly get over this stupid fear. Im a 15 yr old female. Im too old for this!

It's a common phobia, even people who are 40 have this phobia. Iam willing to bet that even if you don't want to admit it, scary movies do influence this in some kind of way, and thats the reason why we watch them and directors are paid to make them...to give us a thrill and make us think. Case in point- If you ask a whole bunch of people you know if the reason why they don't sleep with their foot hanging off the end of the bed is because they think someone is going to grab it in the dark or someone will not look under their bed in the dark because they think something is under there, you'll probably be surprised to how hear many people think this is true even though we all know it's just make believe. Tell me, have YOU stood in a dark bathroom in the middle of the night and said "Bloody Mary" 3 times into the mirror?..probably not and it's your subconscious which is scared of this because it's a legend. Sleep with a night light or the TV on, but do you think that a TV light is going to stop Freddy Kreuger from coming? :-)
My boyfriend and I were fooling around, we never had sex and my hymen isn't broken. Things got a little carried away and we were rubbing our "private" parts together, but my stuff never touched the top of his. Is there any way I'm pregnant? I've been freaking out because my period is late, but I am so irregular that I normally miss a few months anyway. I'm just worried, so any input would be great.
Iam going to say no because in this situation even if there was precum it is extremely unlikely. Since regular semen did not come out of him, the only possibility is pre-cum which can sometimes come out if there is an intense sexual feeling or a situation like yous. Pre-cum does contain sperm, but sperm is very very fragile and once it is exposed to air, it becomes unstable and dies. Your irregularity is obviously a pattern but your worrying about your cycle is just prolonging it even more as everyone said. Next time you want to do that just have him wear a condom with spermicide to remove doubt, because semen can pass through clothes, especially cotton if you do this in your underwear. Relax, and your period will come.
Just curious, can birth control pills give you cancer? My mom keeps telling me its true and I actually think that they prevent cancer...

I'm around 5'2" and I'm pretty comfortable with my height. However, I have 34 D boobs. Now, most girls might like this, but they are extremely unporportional to my body which the doc said won't grow any taller. I feel like whenever a tall guy talks to me he looks down my shirt. I've heard guys say things about it to, and sometimes I feel like all they are trying to do is get a peek at my chest. What do I do?!?
That's how horny, testosterone driven guys are. You didn't mention your age, so I don't know if I can say that you will continue to grow in height so at least get a little more proportion to have you feel a little more comfortable. I can't really say anything else that hasn't been said, just try and wear things that draw less attention to your chest. Honestly though, I'll tell you as a guy...it's not really going to matter and it wouldn't matter if you didn't have 34D's because it's just a natural reaction a lot. I could understand how when you hear things said you get annoyed and Iam not saying I agree with them, but Iam saying that a guy is always going to look there simply because....he's a guy.

is cottage cheese and celery a good food to eat on a diet?
Yea maybe as a snack...but if you're honestly thinking about subbing that as a meal....don't. I guarantee you aren't eating that 1/2 cup of cottage cheese to get some real benefits and calories because cottage cheese is pretty tough to down and celery has almost no calories. The only real advantage I see is its a good before bed snack since the Casein protein that is found in cottage cheese will give your body a steady stream of amino acids for about 6 hours while you sleep so you can avoid burning muscle tissue for energy. Eat as soon as you wake up because breakfast is supposed to "break the fast" of the night and your body is most craving calories at this time and aside from right after you're done working out, can assimilate nutrients in a more efficient way at this time. Remember, dieting isn't necessarily about eating less, but eating better more consistently.
How many miles does a car need to have on it before it starts to need a lot of expensive repair work, such as a new transmission?
Depends on the car. If you really want to keep the car in good shape, top off your tranny fluids every 1000 miles and ur oil every 2000 miles. I know a guy who still drives a car from 1976 and it has close to 200,000 miles on it and it rides beautifully. Gotta take care of your fluids often.
I'm 5'2" and weigh about 105 pounds. I am perfectly aware that I am NOT overweight. If anything, I am a few pounds underweight, and have no plans to lose weight. I have never been self concious about my weight.
Why do these girls who weigh even less than me and are taller than me insist on obsessing about losing weight!? Day after day I see these questions. "I weigh 50 pounds and am about 6 feet, am I fat like OMGZ?!?!" (Obvious exaggeration, you get the point.) What is wrong with everyone??... I don't want to hear that BS about "oh the media blah blah"... everyone blames EVERYTHING on the media. Why are all these little girls so freakin' impressionable?! I was never so impressionable to feel fat just because there was some anorexic model on the cover of some magazine. I think it's pathetic. Why are people like this?
The media has a lot to do with it along with the person's background. Everytime you turn on MTV its a countdown of the hottest bodies of celebs and they ram it down everyone's throat. Our society is very vain, fast diets promise weight loss and a 6 pack, everything revolves around how beautiful someone is. People who have a tougher time with who they are and may have never been looked at as an attractive person in their life may experience more anxiety over their weight and appearance than those who are deemed attractive. Whether we want to admit it or not...we are always being influenced by the media, they tell us what to wear, what to drink and whats hot and whats not among other things. Most people try and assimilate into the culture and become one of the crowd because....you guessed it...the media crams all of it down the throats of Americans.

Never if you don't diet properly. Sit-ups don't work the abs, they work the hip flexor muscles that go to the top of your hips. Do crunches instead if you want to exercise. Again DIET.

I walk a lot, i do tummy crunches etc drink a lot of water , don't eat chocolate, eat plenty fruit and veg... healthy stuff and treat myslf ever now and then. But should i just be weary of my weight? How can i tone my stomach? like have a flat tight stomach?

You may just be overreacting and seeing something that really isn't as bad as you perceive it. Weight is deceiving, some people look 300 lbs and only are 200 and some look 200 and are like 300. Your best judge is the mirror, the mirror never lies. From what you have mentioned you eat pretty clean, now the question of how often you eat comes into play. The reason you may be experiencing bloat is because of either salt intake of your foods, or the fact that you aren't eating enough and your body is restricting what it already has from a lack of adequate nutrition. Continue eating your good fiet and stay away from the junk, the only way to tone the stomach is by dieting, listen to your body, if you're hungry, eat...if youre too tired to work out, then rest. Don't stress too much about about the weight, stress causes you to hold subcanteous fluids. Be strong and keep me posted.
okay im skinny but i like obsess over diets like i dont know i love being on diets i eat like a pig but like ill either be on a diet with no slat or a diet with no saturated fats or something like that but like idk i need a website where it tells you things with no sat. fats and stuff or like what certain things do to you body like if you eat too much sat. fat you get pimples n oily skin and stuff like that and i LOVE fruit expecially oranges and rasberys what are the good things and BAD thing of eatin too much oranges like can i get like some acid disease or will it stunt my growth or something dumb like that? please help i rate 5's
No, you will not get an acid disease from too much citrus. Many people will however break out in pimples from too much acidity. What's good is that you are getting a natural source of Vitamin C which is a water-soluble vitamin and is extremely difficult to overdose on since whatever is extra is passed through urine. Oranges have a very high sugar content, so be careful with eating too many while dieting to keep blood sugar in check. Dieting doesn't mean just eating fruit...you need to eat real food also.
okay. i'm a female, about 5'2-5'3 and 95-100 lbs. i know this is bad, i'm severly overweight. so i was wondering -- how much weight do i need to lose to be healthy? what kind of diet do i need to go on? i'm willing to try ANYTHING. excercise..extreme dieting...ANYTHING! i just need HELP!

For your height, you are not severly overweight. As I've mentioned before, a scale can be deceiving. Before you go to sleep you can weigh yourself and by the time you wake up you can be 2 lbs lighter...this is just water weight. Fat cells are very very stubborn to tap into and burn because the reason there is body fat in the first place is because it is all stored energy we never used, our bodies use carbs as a fast energy source before it uses fat, which is why I recommend working out first thing in the morning before eating, so your body has already tapped into its fat cells for energy since you did not eat all night. Fat serves 3 major roles in our bodies:
1.) It acts as insulation to regulate homeostasis
2.) It acts as a long term energy source
3.) It lines and cushions our major organs
You NEED fat in your diet, it is vital. However, you must know good fats and bad fats. Good fats include mono and poly-UNsaturated fats, check food labels for this. Saturated or Trans fat is very bad. A good way to remember them is by this visual using a ball of yarn or string:
Polyunsaturated fat is like a nice straight line of string
Monounsaturated fat is pretty straight with only a few tangles
Saturated fat is like everything in a whole mess, not straight at all
Essentially the differences between fats come with how many Hydrogen molecules are attached to the lipid structure.
Continue to eat, I cannot stress how important it is to keep eating
while dieting because your body is suseptible enough to infection when you diet, so you must continually "Feed the furnace". Back up this diet with a very good Multi-vitamin/mineral and since you are a female, make sure it has Iron in it. For good diets, check out what professional figure athletes are eating in the IFBB. Do not go on extreme diets are go without food for more than 3-4 hours or else there will be a tremendous Insulin spike in your system and when it wears off, you will be VERY hungry and the diet will crash. Exercise and keep a good attitude about yourself, the better your attitude, the less stress hormones and fluids your body will hold and of course.....do it because you love it and you're proud of your body. You are your body's guard, not it's prisoner. Anymore difficulties, feel free to ask.

Its tough to say without seeing a picture. Do you exercise? Muscle weighs a whole lot more than fat. Do you tend to carry a little too much body fat? Are you a guy or a girl? Personal opinion is big here too, what one may think is fat the other doesn't. DON'T let the scale be the judge, let the mirror be the judge. I know for myself Iam only 5'9" but iam around 250 lbs, now if you were to check this on a BMI counter, it looks like I would be morbidly obese...but my body carries more muscle mass than it does fat, so thats where the weight comes from. Scales trick you, but a mirror doesn't lie.
From what you just described...you're doing just fine. Don't do any extreme dieting because you simply don't need it...in fact try and aim to add around 500 more calories to your daily total and back yourself up with a multivitamin/mineral. Preferably time released.

applesauce isn't healthy, yogurt is full of sugar and grapefruits are too.
If you must then eat something with protein like beef jerky or fat free cottage cheese.
I play field hockey, which mostly requires running, but now I'm off-season, and I need to do track.
In order to try out, you have to do push ups, sits ups, pull ups....all that fun stuff.
My question is, how exactly can you improve the amount of push-ups you do? I can do a few, but I want to be able to do more.
Come on man, don't do the girl push-ups, do Diamond push-ups which are when ur hands are close enough to make a diamond shape. Work on your pullups because this will lead to total body strength since it involves almost every muscle in the body to perform CORRECTLY. Make sure your chest touches the floor when you do push-ups or it doesnt count.
