if i do 50 or more sit ups every night about how long should it take before i start to see a difference?

Fairly, I'd say 3 weeks if you follow a healthy diet plan. Diet and exercise go hand-in-hand, both are vital and extremely beneficial to each other.

Never if you don't diet properly. Sit-ups don't work the abs, they work the hip flexor muscles that go to the top of your hips. Do crunches instead if you want to exercise. Again DIET.
