He said he got tested... but someone else told me he has an STD? Okay I know this guy named bobby(18), (im 16) and we had sex without a condom. My ex-boyfriend and him are good friends, and awhile back my ex told me that Bobby had an std. I asked Bobby about it and he said that he got tested and didnt. I dont know what to do. Im not showing any signs of an Std but you can never be sure! What should I do. I dont want to get my parents involved!

any unprotected sex can lead to an std. if you hav ANY reason to suspect that he might hav an std, then get tested by a doctor. ]
this bobby character could be lying.
im pretty sure no one wants anyone to know if they have a disease or anything like that. anyone can say that they were tested and are fine... you never know... maybe you are the one who should go get tested and see if you have an std and if you do then you will know if he had it or not. (well if you lost your virginity to him) but still if you didnt have an std before bobby and then you get tested and you have one then you will know...and your parents dont have to be involved.. you just go to a clinic and everything is confidential. so yeah...xox

Why? Why would you even consider having sex without a condom with someone you were told had an STD?
Even if if is not true and your ex is a lying liar, that doesn't matter. It is YOUR responsibility to protect yourself.
Yes, you asked him. He said he didn't have one. Sometimes when being tested for an STD, the results come back negative. Some dieases take longer to show up than others. That is why continual testing is recommended.
There is also the self preservation factor. I have known people with STD's who have lied to others out of embarassment and weakness. I am not saying that he lied to you, but being skepitcal is a good thing when it comes to stuff like this.
You now have the reponsibility to go get tested. Planned Parenthood was mentioned earlier, they will help you.
I believe in personal responsibility. If you do something, or in your case, not do something, then you should be fully prepared to accept the consequences.
USE A CONDOM. EVERYTIME. NO EXCEPTIONS.
That goes for EVERYONE, including myself.
If you don't, then you alone are responsible for what happens to you. You said that you are scared. Good. You should be. ]
go to planned parenthood, you dont need your parents and if you sign up for the insuarance there, its free and confidential. they will test you and everything for free and even give you free birth control. go to google and find out where the nearest one is to you. hope i helped and good luck :) ]
The safest thing would be to go to your local health department and get checked.
There are a lot of STDs and some of them don't have much in the way of symptoms early on.
Since it is your health we are talking about, I wouldn't trust the word of your friend Bobby. He got checked out for some reason. And, if he did it may have been treated, but err on the safe side.
Call your health department, ask questions. It is more than likely a free test. If not they may be helpful in telling you where to go for free testing.
You can also check at www.coolnurse.com for lots of helpful information, I believe they have 800 numbers also.
If there is no free testing available then tell mom and see your doctor. :) ]
