I guarantee you aren't eating that 1/2 cup of cottage cheese to get some real benefits and calories because cottage cheese is pretty tough to down and celery has almost no calories. The only real advantage I see is its a good before bed snack since the Casein protein that is found in cottage cheese will give your body a steady stream of amino acids for about 6 hours while you sleep so you can avoid burning muscle tissue for energy. Eat as soon as you wake up because breakfast is supposed to "break the fast" of the night and your body is most craving calories at this time and aside from right after you're done working out, can assimilate nutrients in a more efficient way at this time. Remember, dieting isn't necessarily about eating less, but eating better more consistently. [ MikeCFT's advice column | Ask MikeCFT A Question ]
