Well, I'm home alone alot, with my brother thats only ten, and i need to learn how to defend myself. but i can't take classes because my mom won't have enough time to take me. so, this is my question, can i learn to defend myself at home, with like a knife or something?

you could use a knife, but make sure you keep it AWAY from your brother, becuase that could be reallly dangerous. also, you can buy self eaching karate classes, which are on dvd so you can watch them by yourself

The thing is I'll be walking down the street and there will be these like old mexican gardeners and they will like check out my ass and that just disgusts me so much. i feel like i have no friends :[ like i know i have one good friend, but i feel like that isn't enough. during the school year i felt like i had lots of friends. but now that its summer i feel like i have none. nobody ever calls me to hangout. so i end up hanging out with the same two people all the time. but like my one friend isn't friends with my other friend so we can't hang out together. but i also feel like my one friend is using me. like we could hang out like 3 times a week, and she still won't put me on her myspace top 12 (i know that sounds stupid but she puts people that she doesn't even like on their instead of me). what do i do? i have 1 other good friend but she ditched me to become more popular. then my other two friends never call me. i know your probably saying call them, but like i'll IM them saying we should hang out and they just go yeah i'll call you. and then they never do.

Hey! This happens to a lot of kids. I remember when I moved halfway through the school year and that summer I did nothing because no one wanted to hang out with me. I had so many friends at school, but once summer came, no one talked anymore. If your friend is using you, tell her you feel that way. You can't bottle it up inside you, you need to speak. Tell her what you're thinking, it will help a lot. Ask your parents if you can have a summer party and invite a lot of people. Call up some kids and ask if they all wanna meet up at the local mall or park or something. Bring a camera with you so whenever someone has a birthday you can put a picture of a memory on there, that will score you some points. For the people that say they will call and they don't, just set up a time and a date online, it's easier. Don't get down about this because it happens to many kids. Keep talking to everyone, ask if they wanna take day trips to the zoo or amusement park or something fun. Believe me, it will help.

okay so im in drivers ed and im 16. there is another girl in there who is 14. she always starts talking to me randomly and she asked for my number so we could go to the beach today. i didnt want to, but i gave it to her, because what am i suposed to do, say no? so she called 5 times and left a message and i never picked up. now im freaked out she thinks were like, best friends. i dont even want to hang out with her! what should i do? hey! maybe you should try hanging out with her, she could be a really nice, funny, awesome girl. And if she's not, then tell her that you guys are only friends and she shouldn't call so much. You did infact give her your number, so you did kind of lead her on. You could have said "no my mom doens't like when i give my number out" or something. You could just tell her, if you don't mind being mean or looking mean, tell her that you don't want to be friends with her because she is annoying. One day when she gets really annoying be like OMG YOU'RE SO ANNOYING. and walk away. she'd get the point. Or just sit down and talk to her about how she could be less annoying and tell her that she may have a chance to be friends with you. Communication is the most important thing in this problem.

This happens to a lot of people. I remember being 10, walking down the road, and a mexican honking his horn and whistling at me. It really is gross. Don't feel disgusted, try to ignore it. Since you are underaged, you do have the right to call the police if you do feel very violated. People hitting on you at school and the mall shouldn't be a bad thing, but if it does bother you, tell a teacher, because it is harassment weather you think of it that way or not. And people can get into a lot of trouble for that kind of behavoir. Keep resisting it, because obviously you love your boyfriend and you don't want that relationship to end because of someone is sexually harassing you. Make sure your boyfriend is clear of the situation if infact you do go to the police about it, they will question your boyfriend and many of the children at your school, as well as your teachers. Try listening to music when you walk, so you won't have to pay attention to the gardeners. Besides the mexicans, the kids at the mall and school are actually a good thing. Now you know you're beautiful.

Hi! Try complimenting people when you see them, or smile at them and wave, or say hi. Little things like those get you big points. Sit next to someone different in a class. If you see someone at the mall or something, ask them if you can go shopping with them. The people you call probably say they have something going on because they don't think you really want to hang out with them. Try setting a date, call them and ask if they can come over on the 16th or whatever. Go to the mall, bowling ally, movies, park, concert, club, whatever. Try out new sports or out of school activities. You'll be gaurenteed to meet a lot of kids from school in those. Why not ask if someone from school would like to try that hobbie with you and sign both of you up for that activity! When you're friends with everyone, you'll BE the party. Trust me.

I would go through with Deed Pole. Why? I would do this because it will cause confusion on documents when he goes by "John Smith" when legally his name on his birth certificate is "John Jackson". It will cause stress and confusion for your son all through his life and for you too, as his #1 guardian.
Be firm in confronting the father about the name change. Do not let the situation get emotional, just tell him YOU are the number 1 guardian of your son and that you want him to have your name! If your relationship with him is rocky, why should your child have his last name!?!
I believe this name change is in you and your son's best interest.

I shaved "down there" about a month ago. I got terrible bumps, which I guess I should have expected. But these bumps haven't gone away and now they are like pimples, getting white heads and they bleed when I pop them. Is this normal?
And no, I do not have an STD...I am married, happily for 7 years and there is no possibility of either of us cheating.
I will never shave "down there" again, I was wondering how Nair would work? Any suggestions?

nair and veet worked fine for me. the reason you got the bumps is from razorburn. they are not pimples, and they bled because the skin down there is verrry sensitive, so they look like pimples, and trying to pop them would majorly irritate them. i would suggest getting waxed, becasue there isnt anybumps. (it will hurt the first few times though, after about 3 times, itll feel pretty fine)

dont tell her she looks fat. she wont like you and might develope an eating disorder. tell her you want to go bathing suit shopping, and when your at a place, find a bathing suit and be like 'omg i LOOVE this' and then try it on. then come back out and say that it doesnt fit you, and tell her to try it for fun. hiya. In my opinion I don't think that it's wrong that you had sex with your stepbrother. You are not blood related, and suppose your parents did not get married, yet you met this boy and still ended up getting pregnant with his child. There really isn't a difference except for the fact that you do indeed have the same gaurdians. NOT parents, just legal gaurdians. You should tell your family, you have nothing to be ashamed of. You simply fell in love with someone that just so happens to be your step-brother. As far as the bonding goes, once you tell your family, your stuck with him bonding since you do live with him. No worries. Also, as soon as you guys turn 18 you can start a new life together.

yea i downloaded like a music video on limewire, and i got a virus (i was getting promiscuous) and so then i tried a didfferent one, and i also got another virus. those viruses arent too bad for the computer, but its best to just stick with downloading music.

My little 12 year old sis needs deodorant but she doesn't want to ask our parents to buy her some, she want to buy it herself. BUT she is embarrased cause she thinks handing deodorant to the employee at the drug store to buy when she's 12, the guy will think it's odd. I told her to don't worry and no one will care but she doesn't believe me at all, and I don't even think I believe myself. I don't want my sis to get embarrased or mad if they do think's its odd or give her a little giggle. I know they arent going to say anything but they might think it. So, please tell me, do you think the employees will do anything or thinks its odd if my 12 year old sis buys deodorant by herself? i started using deoderant at like 10 (i think?). most people need it at around 10-11.
employees will NOT CARE!!! i buy tampons, and then i get a guy cashier and im like oh dear god, but they dont care, they get it alot. plus, its none of the cashiers business to laugh at her, which they wouldnt do anyways, because pretty much everybody uses deoderant at that age.

Hey! I almost never clean my room, I hate it. I like it messy, but I do know cleaning tricks. Try taking your dirty clothes to the washer machine once you take them off, there shouldn't be a reason as to why you don't. Save the hamper or basket for old magazines, project supplies, sports stuff(etc). The bathroom should be easy to keep clean. Replace shower liner oh say.. every two months. When you brush your teeth at night, give the sink and counter a quick scrub. Set a date, say every Sunday evening to clean the tub, every monday to clean the toilet, and every tuesday to clean mirrors/windows/floor(and/or carpet). The closet on the other hand; you can get a lot of cheap space savers from wal*mart or K-mart or anything like those stores. Ikea has nice things too. Try getting a shoe rack that sits on the floor or a hanging one. When you do your laundry, don't be lazy, put those clothes on hangers! Try getting dressers that roll, small plastic ones that can be put into the closet(on a top shelf or underneath the clothes that are hanging). They save a lot of space. Get shelves put up around your room to place books, lamps, extra pillows, pjs, sheets, or whatever, just to keep things off the floor. When you don't have many dressers in your way, it's easier to keep your room clean!
