16/f. At school I get hit on all the time, and at the mall, things like that. I am so not a slut I have been with my boyfriend for 3 years and never had sex. The thing is I'll be walking down the street and there will be these like old mexican gardeners and they will like check out my ass and that just disgusts me so much. I feel so disgusting because of them. How do I get over this?

so first of all, i promise you, not all mexicans are like that. its DISGUSTING and inappropriate in every country. generally, these people are lower class and uneducated, so you can expect it from them. (that's why they make a living by digging holes) Don't feel disgusting... you can't change them unfortunatly. just ignore it... it's not saying you are a slut, it means they havent seen an ass like that in a while. its not your fault in any way! I used to get it all the time and i was like 12 or something young like that... eventually you just overlook it. <3

I know what that's like, trust me. I know you're not being into yourself! I just try take it as a complement that they find you attractive and I take pleasure in the fact that I'm loyal to my boyfriend and they're getting none of this!! I agree with what Krupple said though, that you should bring mace or something around with you in case some dick gets a bit too much. Some guys like that think that just because you're pretty then they can have you, in the meantime just ignore them and seriously take it as a complement that people think you're attractive but at the same time don't let your ego get out of control! My mom and MANY girls have had similar encounters with Mexicans. From what my Mexican friend told me, in Mexico it is considered ok to shout at girls and say things to them that would be considered inappropriate in America.
It's the whole assimilation thing. America has its own culture and many foreigners refuse to respect that. I recommend you carry.
As far as being attractive... you must realize that if you are attractive, everyone is going to be looking at you, and some people are going to be more obvious than others, so try to consider it a complement from people who don't know better.
I realize this isn't just an issue of race but carry mace just in case so you can spray them in the face if they give chase.

you just gotta know that it's gunna happen and to try your best to ignore it. when it happens to me and my friend, we usually crack jokes about it to the point where it doesn't even phase us anymore. one time, the oldold guy was checkin out our legs and makin this disgusting face and when we kept walkin we would just be like *ha he was checkin YOU out, not me. did you see the look on his face, he wants you!* but we're just jokin so it sorta makes it fun!

This happens to a lot of people. I remember being 10, walking down the road, and a mexican honking his horn and whistling at me. It really is gross. Don't feel disgusted, try to ignore it. Since you are underaged, you do have the right to call the police if you do feel very violated. People hitting on you at school and the mall shouldn't be a bad thing, but if it does bother you, tell a teacher, because it is harassment weather you think of it that way or not. And people can get into a lot of trouble for that kind of behavoir. Keep resisting it, because obviously you love your boyfriend and you don't want that relationship to end because of someone is sexually harassing you. Make sure your boyfriend is clear of the situation if infact you do go to the police about it, they will question your boyfriend and many of the children at your school, as well as your teachers. Try listening to music when you walk, so you won't have to pay attention to the gardeners. Besides the mexicans, the kids at the mall and school are actually a good thing. Now you know you're beautiful.
