I've had a really upset stomach for about 2 weeks. I've been throwing up and then just dry heaves. I can't eat much, I used too eat like normaly and then some. But now I barely have a sandwhich a day. I don't know what's up or what too do.

Okay, I'm still the eating disorder girl. In your answer, you mentioned an irregular heartbeat. That's really weird because for months now i'll have times when i'll feel like my heart is beating really hard and fast and it's soo bad i won't be able to go to sleep. Is that kinda what u meant?!?! And about telling my mom, my school counselor found out about it last year. She called my mom but she didn't believe her. She told me, "don't let that mean lady tell you that u have an eating disorder". My friends had dragged me in there to help. And she knows that i feel like my heart is going to hard and fast, but she calls it nerves. But about what?!?! I've started skool and i like it and i have a ton of friends. Your mom didn't believe it coming from the counsler...she will if you give it to her straight. Tell her the counsler was right. Tell her you can no longer deal with it by yourself.
An irregular heartbeat CAN be brought on by a panic attack. I honestly don't think that is your case. I think you need to get some help. The thing is, when you have so abused your body this way, a lot of times you can't just go back to eating normally. You have to be slowly worked back up to that. It needs to be done under medical supervision.
Have you ever heard of Karen Carpenter? She was a singer in the 70's with her brother. She died at age 32 of a heart attack brought on by anorexia and bulemia. As a matter of fact her death is what made the public realize that anorexia was a big problem. Look her up on the internet.
Tell mom. Go see a doctor. Do not leave out anything when you talk to either of them. Your mom may be in denial about you having a problem. If she doesn't believe you for some reason, and I think she will coming directly from you, go to another relative you can talk to. You really need help. I want you healthy so you can get on here and help others with the same problem. I want you to get well because you have such a great life out there ahead of you!

Ok, yesterday, I was really stressing out. I had a ton of homework, I discovered one of my friends are a cutter, and I have like 3 major tests that I bombed. I spent an hour crying in the principles office.once i got home, I got really short on breath. My chest constricted. I got really nausious and i couldn't breath. i got really dizzy and i passed out. I have no clue what happened. Can anybody help me?? Is it serious?! does it like actually have a name, or is it just me short circiting.

I think its okay. If you like each other then by all means do so. I don't know any reason why others would start silly rumors unless it was out of jealousy. I wouldn't let that stop you if you really have feelings for him. Doubt its gonna happen. Good luck! :)

Yes it sure is. Meds are prescribed in different doses for different people depending on their particular problem. What may be perfectly harmless for one person to take may make another very sick or even kill them. Not a good idea. :)

WHICH sucks because i dont have any privacy what SO EVER!! my mom left us when i was two so i never new her, but i do give my dad credit on growing us up.. But my brothes suck i mean all they do is play sports and talk about girls, i cant even have a normal conversation with any of them without them doing stupid boy crap (farting,joking,burping) i mean eww i hate living with BOYS hah... My dad i love him too death he just doesnt understand me at all, i mean i cant talk to him about personal or girly stuff because he just doesnt know it, ive tried and he has failed... and I cant even talk about boys with any of them because they dont even understand themselves so how the hell are they gonna understand another boy... But like i just get aggervated because all my dad does is go too their damn sports game and their in every sports game fucking possible so i never get too hang out with my dad... all he does is work,sleep,cook,and go too their shitty sports games... I try too make his life easier because i know its hard being a single parent and raising 5 kids... like i clean the house,dishes,vacumm,sweep,all those other chores but everything gets ruined eventually and im tired of doing it all over again... My brothers treat me like shit and i get no respect for anything..... I just feel so unwanted... and i feel scared too talk to my dad about everything because its just weird spilling out all your feelings too a guy when its about them... I do think he might understand. He probably knows how hard it is on you. He should make the sports freaks help you out with some of the chores! It is there home too after all.
Do you have an aunt or grandma you can talk to? I think that is the main thing you need. An older female to talk about those girly things! Maybe even an older cousin or neighbor.
Whatever you do don't keep tings bottled up. If you have no one else, Dear old dad will do. It might be a little bit weird at first, but it will soon go away and become easier. You could take up sports...football starts soon! I kid. Good luck to you. :)

There is nothing wrong with dating someone a year or two younger. Date whoever you have a good time with...not who others say you should date. Go with him and have fun! :)

I'm not sure if you remember, but i asked a question about an eating disorder and you answered it. I've heard you're pretty good...so i kinda wanted to add to it.
I thought i was over the whole eating thingie but like after going to skool for one day, i realized i wasn't over it. I drink stuff for breakfast before running out the door and i go on that until i get home around 4:45...then i have to eat something because my mom will start to worry if i dont. Lately I've kinda been going towards belimic but now i'll start to cough up white stuff and then get a serious headache. I can't really stop as of right now mainly because i dont want to. It's like my comfort zone almost. I was just wondering what the white stuff is and why the headache. Sorry cuz that last part was nasty but i'd REALLY appreciate it if you could help me. The first thing you need to do is talk to your mom. I know you don't want to but you really have to if you want to get better. Anorexia/bulimia are VERY SERIOUS eating disorders. You know that. Somewhere inside you know you need to stop or you wouldn't have written. I will cut and paste some things so this is going to get long. But, this way you won't have to visit any links. I will put my comments in brackets so you know its me. :)
{With bulimia, you can actually rupture your stomach. That is only one thing. Here's a list of the dangers}
Extreme purging rapidly upsets the body's balance of sodium, potassium, and other chemicals. This can cause fatigue, seizures, irregular heartbeat, and thinner bones. Repeated vomiting can damage the stomach and esophagus (the tube that carries food to the stomach), make the gums recede, and erode tooth enamel. (Some patients need all their teeth pulled prematurely). Other effects include various skin rashes, broken blood vessels in the face, and irregular menstrual cycles.
{What they aren't saying is the irregular heartbeat can lead to heart attacks and possibly death. I don't want to scare you...yet I do. You need the big picture. These same things can happen with anorexia. Its like dying a slow death. How can that be a comfort to you? It can't be. You need to find another comfort zone!}

In the same year, bulimia was the underlying cause of death on two death certificates and mentioned as one of several causes on 64 others.
(so you see, you have to tell your mom. You need to see a doctor and get this fixed. I'm willing to bet that your mom already wonders whats up. Having a problem like this doesn't make you weird or bad or anything else you may be thinking. A LOT of girls go through this. A lot have been helped. You need to get help and get it cured so you can come back here and help others with the same problems! Make this your comfort zone for now. Come here and help others. I really want you to consider sitting mom down when you can get her alone and telling her about this. Be totally honest with her about it. Get some help. ok, so I'm a Freshman at this high school.... well the Homecoming Dance is coming up and A LOT of ppl want to ask me....i dont hav a BF, but i like a lot of the guys that wanna ask me... this one sophmore asked me, but i dunno if my family wld wanna let me go w/ him since they dont kno him very well.... then there's a buncha lil' freshman guys that wanna ask me too...and i kno them better than the upperclassmen!!! so what shld i do, go with the older guys or younger??? and if i go w/ the older, how do i break news to the freshman (and vice versa)!!!

I think the proper thing to do is to go with the first boy that asks you...IF you like him. Maybe he can come early and meet your parents, or the day before. This is one of those dilemma's that I'm sure your mom would like to help you with if you can ask her. As for the others, you simply say so and so asked me first. Next time they will get the lead out and ask earlier! :)

I think it takes some time to get pregnant after coming off any kind of birth control if you've been on it for a while. It is probably a little to early to worry about it yet. I found a web site that will give you more info. This is about getting pregnant after stopping depo. :)
