how come that almost all of the people i know that own sidekicks, only use the sidekick for aim and texting and not as a regular phone? it seems as though most people have a seperate phone for calling people.

but why don't alot of people use the sidekick 3 as a regular phone? is it because of the large size?

i can't have 2 phones, so will i look like an idiot if i use the sidekick for texting AND talking on the phone and calling people??

My cousin used hers as a phone. You can use it as a phone too. I don't see why other people would use another phone for phone calls, it looks rediculously stupid. Just use it for calls, texting, and aim. Because if you use two different phones, you're gonna look kinda dumb.

If it's a good friend that likes you, I would kiss him/her. If it's a blind date, chances are I wouldn't considering it'd be odd because you just met them, and for someone you have known for so long, I wouldn't because you don't know them well enough, and it'd be awkward. :]

You're not a slut. I didn't make out til I waqs in 8th grade, but even so, nobody cared. If you're upset with your friend for telling, & ruining you rep [though she probably didn't mean to], I'd talk to her about it cause she probably doesn't know. How can I learn more about fashion?

Read fashion magazines [Vogue, Teen Vogue, Elle], and things like that. There are books at the library about it. Read about top designers out [Versace, Gucci, Guess, Dolce & Gubanna, Louis Vuiton [sp?], Prada]. Stuff like that. And watch shows like America's Next Top Model, or Project Runway. They might be about modeling, but the fashion in it is amazing. :]

Okay, this is what I don't get. Why the hell would you still wanna be friends with this kid? He used you for sex, [I'm guessing you're a virgin] & then pretty much shut you down after. If I was you, I'd tell him to fuck himself, and let go. He's not worth your time, and you shouldn't bother trying to be his friend again. I wouldn't dare stay friends with someone who screwed me, and then dropped me like a hot potato. It's not worth it. In the end, if you become friends with this kid again, he'll probably end up using you once more & then doing it all over. I wouldn't let him in [even if he wanted to], and I wouldn't worry about it. The best part you can take in forgetting this kid, & not making any sort of contact with him even if your life depended on it. Find somebody worth your time, and someone who cares about you, your feelings & your physical attributes. This one just doesn't give a rats ass.

I stumbled across this site by accident. I seriously doubt many of you have the qualifications to give real people proper advice. After reading some of your responses to people's inquiries i was quite astonished as to how teenagers find they are able to give quality advice and information to real people in need with such little life experience. If you ask me you are not in a place to give your "personal opinion" when people truly believe you are giving them the right answer simply because you claim "people think i give really good advice". (eg. i am still at a loss as to how a 17 year old girl thinks she can give advice to someone regarding conceiving a child) I know you try to come across as a "godsend" to poeple who are in some sort of personal crisis and need a fast easy answer but the truth is, in the cases where it really counts, there rarely is one; at least not from you.

Personally, you're entitled to your opinion, but in some aspects, you're wrong. Kids/teenagers come onto this site because most of the users/advice givers are kids THEIR age.

Answer me this. Would you rather have 45 year old answer your question [when they probably couldn't place themselves in your position], or a teenager, who knows exactly what the hell you're going through?

If you were to ask me, I rather have a teenager answer me. It's easier for us to place ourselves in the other person's shoes. And not everyone is inexperienced & doesn't know what they're talking about. A lot of teenagers have been through things you wouldn't believe, and have more life experience, so to speak than others. Going through things so life changing makes you wiser & more cautious.

But this is my opinion, if you don't like the site, don't come back. I realize "it's a free world." but if you don't like something to the point where you critisize people and the whole site, don't bother wasting your time coming to it. It's stupid, immature & pointless.

And by the way, nobody asked for your opinion on the situations, advice given & the people on the site. :]

Just keep it simple, and don't come back. There's no point being on the site if you think it's dumb. It's a time waster. :]

ok help me check if my answer is correct please! im trying to prove santa doesn't exist.. by saying he wouldnt possibly have time to visit all the houses and crap like that.. so lets say there's 2 billion people in the world, of which 30% are children under 15 (meaning thats how many people have a right of getting presents) and the average is 3,2 children per family.... and santa has 30 houres to deliver ALL presents.. how much time does santa have at each house?

to now this we have to know how many houses there are, right? so i tried doing this..

0.30 * 2000000000 = 600000000 children
600000000/3.2 = 87500000 houses

ANSWER: 30/187500000

but what the heck does that mean?

Me and this guy were on-and-off for about 3 years. It was a stupid relationship, where I was always unhappy and in the end.. got hurt. I gave they guy my heart and he broke it. That was about, 4 months ago. I found a new guy which is amazing, and hes perfect, alot better then the old one. All my friends keep asking me if iv fallen for him yet, but the problem is.. Well, if you haven't told the new guy that, I'd let him in. I know it's hard, but if you like him & whatever and you think he's perfect, I'd tell him what you've been through. It might be hard to trust him when he says "I won't do that." but if you like him, you'll trust him. I know how it feels to be scared of commitment & to think that everyone is lying to you about shit, but when you think about it, it seems kinda silly to protect yourself forever. Some guys are worth the risk. And besides, the guy who is worth your tears, won't make you cry. I didn't understand that quote at first, but I figured it out. The best I can tell you is to just sit him down & tell him what happened with your ex and I'm sure he'll understand that falling for him & developing feelings for him will take some time & you don't wanna jump right into things.

What do you think us guys mean when we say things like "I just want to be friends". I'm asking because my best-friend, a girl, told me she loved me, but I don't lover her, i like her as mayeb more than a friend, but i don't totally love her. When you guys say you just wanna be friends, it either means you're not interested, or you just like us as a friend & that's it. Anyways...

Did you tell her you maybe liked her as more than a friend? I hope so, because she deserves to know. She told you straight out that she "loved" you, and if she told you that, you should've told her "I like you as a friend, but maybe more."

If you start to like her more, don't start flirting immeadiately with her because she'll get confused and she'll probably think you're weird.

She's not talking to you right now because you told her that you just wanted to be friends. She's obviously pretty bummed out & is probably trying to get over you. When a girl likes someone a lot, and they tell us they just wanna be friends, it kinda breaks your heart. Rejection is the thing girls fear most, besides being alone.

I would find a recording studio near you & make a demo. Or find a friend that knows how to make demos. Hand it to people on the streets, make a MySpace for your music, and pray that a record label hears your stuff. :]

I'm a 14/f and I dont have a best friend. I mean I have friends.... but they're not that close. Like a lot of people I know, are going to the mall with their best friends, and since i dont have a best friend, i'd only have a chance to go to the mall with my mom... ughh and I soo totally dont want to do that.

Well, my point is that in school, we have about 20 minutes before school to do anything we want. And well I am hanging out with my "friends" and they don't really include me... so if they're having a conversation, and I ask a question, they wont answer me and just ignore me. I always feel so alone. I know you might say "just have you're family be your best friends" but I REALLY dont want to have my family be my best friends. I want someone that's my age, and who I can have sleepovers with, and go to the mall with, and just hang out with... but none of my friends don't like me that much. It's like this world doesn't even know I exist.

So my question is How can I stand out to people and try to make friends? Is there any tricks to making a best friend? What should I do about these so called "friends"? Keep talking to them? Ignore them?

I mean, if I start talking to them, they'll just change their mood into like an annoying mood. Suuuure they'll talk to me, but its about something really stupid like "what was the homework assignment for monday?"
Sometimes, if one of my friends, doesn't have anyone to talk to at the time, they'll come to me and start talking to me, but it's not the talking you think it is... its probably more like bragging. Like one of them likes to dance, and if she doesn't have anybody to talk to, she'll come up to me and say "oh my gosh, I can't remember my tap dance sequence... Oh yeah it goes ____" and then she'll like dance infront of me, and like show off.

I don't know what's wrong with me, it's like i'm a back-up friend to everybody... I feel so alone and my subject said "what happens to a lonely person in life?" well... what happens? Will I turn out to be some person who doesn't have a purpose in life?

I'd leave them behind. If they don't talk to you like friends should [telling secrets, letting you know what's going on, answering your questions], then they're not really your friends & you shouldn't be hanging out with them.

If there's someone else you wanna be friends with, just say hi to them & get to know them. It's not hard to get a best friend & there's no tricks to it. It just takes time.

Best friends don't become that way automatically. It took me and my best friend about a month to get super close. :] But, just start talking to people more, and find the things you have in common. When you feel like you're getting closer & whatever, then you know you've found a best friend.

Best friends are usually inseperable. Everyone at my school knows me & my best friend as the girls who are never apart. :]
