Easy. Call him if you can. Ask him to hold onto the phone while you sign on, and to say a few things over the phone and type the same thing. If you can't call him, ask him something you know only he would know.

Break your keyboard. Haha no just kidding. If it helps just plan out a list of thigns you can do other than the computer, and really stick to it. Playing a sport, cleaning your room, etc. You might find it easier to commit to something if somebody is depending on you. Like say you call a friend or two to go somewhere - you gotta go because you said you would. If you have like AIM or something, tell some of your friends to tell you to get off when you sign on and stuff. You know what also might help, for when you need to get something done, set a time for its due earlier than it has to be done. For example: you have to clean your room before you go to sleep, which would be lets say 11.00. In your mind set the time it needs to be done earlier, like a lot earlier like 10.15 or 9.50. Why? Well by telling him how you feel, I don't see how that would break the relationship. He might even feel the same way and not have said anything for the say reason. Communication is key and crucial for any friendship/relationship. First you should tell him how you feel about him, and then explain if he doesn't feel the same way, that its ok because you want to keep it just a friendship too. If he shows no signs of wanting it going past a friendship, then try not to push him for it, because that might just push him away.

Then again, if he does accept the way you feel, but doesn't feel the same way - thats still good. You got your feelings off your chest, you were honest, and you are still friends with him - nothing wrong with that. Just be completley honest with him, so that he can do the same with you. Just because you write songs for her or anything like that, doesn't mean she has to see them. You should tell her how you feel anyways. If she isn't showing any signs, then don't worry. If you want to reassure yourself, you should ask her if you are 'scaring her off'. Ask her right to her face, nothing wrong with asking her that. If you really think you are scaring her off and want to stop doing so, maybe you could try just getting a blank notebook and writing all your feelings down. No you don't have to show her, but that way you let your feelings out, no harm is done, and she isn't weirded out by you. Go up to him and break it. Just do it and expect the best. Break your shyness for him, because he would likely do the same for you. I say wait for him to prove to you that he really is more than a friend and does care about you. Why? I've noticed that several major credit card chains offer gift cards that can be used anywhere the credit cards can: Visa, American Express, etc. Anywhere within the 45+ range sounds good in terms of amount. If you can't get him a gift certificate, a check can work too. If you get him a CD or a gift certificate, here's an idea. Get a large basket and fill it up with that shredded paper or stuffing paper [not all the way]. Then place it on the paper. Then put some more paper there and then fill the basket with loads of different candy. So when you are finished it looks like a regular basket of candy, but at the bottom there is his card/CD. I don't see how you would lose her if you told her that she was the one for you. As a friend, be there anyways for her - try to comfort her about the break up and let her know that she still has you as a friend.
