sweet 16th.

Question Posted Monday August 15 2005, 5:31 pm

Hey what would you get a guy for his sweet 16th? I haven't known him very long, only about 2 years, and we don't see each other very often, so it can't really be a memorable sort of thing. He likes basketball, and basically most sports. He listens to R&B and hip hop and that sorta stuff; his favourite shows are The OC, Will &Grace, 70s show, and Paradise Hotel. I'm thinking of getting him a CD or a gift certificate, what do you think? If it's a gift certificate, how much money should I put on it and it will be appropriate? And what store should I get? He wears like..Phat Farm, Rocawear, Timberland, Adidas, Nike, and you get my drift. Btw I live in Ontario Canada if that helps with the stores. Are there any other suggestions of what to get him? Thanks.

i think a gift certificate is a good idea! that way he can buy whatever he wants and you don't have to worry about his size, er what he has er what not. is there a mall he likes? maybe you can get him a mall certificate. maybe about 35$ er something. 40$ at most.

-hope that helped!

I've noticed that several major credit card chains offer gift cards that can be used anywhere the credit cards can: Visa, American Express, etc. Anywhere within the 45+ range sounds good in terms of amount. If you can't get him a gift certificate, a check can work too. If you get him a CD or a gift certificate, here's an idea. Get a large basket and fill it up with that shredded paper or stuffing paper [not all the way]. Then place it on the paper. Then put some more paper there and then fill the basket with loads of different candy. So when you are finished it looks like a regular basket of candy, but at the bottom there is his card/CD. Make sure it's visible of course. Be creative. Hope that helps.
