hey
this is a serious problem... your parents can't do that to you. try calming talking to your dad about it. maybe ask him what's wrong & if you can help in anyway. he will be more than happy to find out you actually care. i'm sure he doesn't WANT to make you hurt, but he is probably so upset that he takes it out on you.
if you just calmly talk to him about it, i'm sure he will ATTEMPT to stop. don't go near him if he is drunk or has done drugs - he can be dangerous. just go for a shower & ignore him for the time being.
don't swear at your parents - just act calm. if they yell at you, just hold your tears in & stay strong. it WILL pass. if it gets really bad, just count in your mind to ten. really. slowly. 1... 2... 3... 4... 5... 6... 7... 8... 9... 10. & when you get to ten, see if they calmed down at all. if not, just stand there & wait for them to calm down before exitting.
i STRONGLY urge you to talk to a trusted adult about the situation at home (after, of course, trying to talk to your parents themselves). do you have grandparents, an aunt or uncle you can share these problems with? even a school guidance counselor can help.
please get help if it doesn't help trying to talk to them.

Hi I have a very petite body and I just bought these beautiful really wide legged pants that fit nice and snug on my bum. Now my dilemma is what shirt should I pair with it, I dont think I should pair it with a wide top because of the pants, and alot of the the less wide topes arent dressy enough. Do you have any opinions? (link)

hey
well if the pants are loose, wear a tight top. not like, so tight you can't breathe, but a top that hugs your curves. that way, people will not think, "why are her clothes sooooo loose?!"
hmm... well if the pants are plain black, any type of top can go, dressy or casual. i'd suggest definitely NOT wearing a wide top on the top as well. so even if it's a casual, solid shirt, it will look MUCH better than a wide, dressy top. do you get what i'm saying?
it's the same thing with tight pants - tight pants & tight shirt don't always look good. it's like you're popping out of your clothes!
also - if the pants are plaid, or pin-striped, you can DEFINITELY wear a solid shirt, without a doubt. if you have a lace top, that would go perfectly.

Yesterday, I went to the mall with my Mom. I found a really cute skirt, and a top. When I tried it on, my mom insisted that "they were too tight." This happens ALL the time when we go shopping. Every time I try something on, my mom says, "No, its too tight" or "I think you need a bigger size," when I really don't. Something could fit just fine, and she would still insist that it is too small.
So the other day, I started crying, because she never likes ANYTHING that I try on. Then she asked me what was wrong, and I said, "Apparently I'm fat!" And she goes, "Oh no, you're not fat. The clothes just run small."
Mind you, I am a pants size 0, and I weigh 88 pounds. When I was younger, I used to be kind of chubby. I don't know why my mom does this- I'm trying to decide if it's because I really do look fat, or if its because she thinks I look good and doesn't want me to wear tight/revealing clothes. I am very upset, and lately I've been feeling like I don't want to eat. I decided to give up candy, and I fear becoming anorexic. Yet my mom, (who is not thin) continues to encourage me to eat candy.
Should I say something the next time she does this? I am getting really pissed off, and I feel like shouting, "You're just jealous because I'm not fat like you!" at her. (link)

a lot of ppl are saying that the moms just dont want to see their daughter growing up like that, but its more because she has like a jealousy. my mom and me aer both super thin, and twhile if i wear a slutty outfit, she'll get mad, but shes fine with tight as long as not too much skin or celavage is shown... (no shes not like a "regina" mom haha)
i have also experienceed that some fat people are meaner to me, and nicer to other overwieghts
alsooo, you didnt say your age, but honestly i stopped shopping for clothes with my mom at like 11. ask her for some money be like mom could i have 100 dollars or however much and go with a friend

ciao can mean hello and bye (like aloha) and non-italian ppl probably say it becuase they want to say something different instead of saying bye all the time.

well first off i'd want to know why. if i messed up, that's my fault. but if i didn't, i'd be really pissed off.
then i'd try talking to her about it. like, can't we meet a simple solution after all that we've gone through?
if she didn't hint at it beforehand, i'd be like, that was random & be even more mad.
if it was something that has been bothering her for a long time, i'd understand.
my best friend doesn't live in my town, & we only talk through email / IM (we hang out sometimes) so there's no possible way for her to get mad at me. i'm assuming that your friend goes to your school. i'd let her cool off first of all. then i'd try talking to her about it. maybe you can reach a solution, or maybe she's not worth your time.

15/f. i'm not even going to post my weight because i know its in the healthy BMI range and then you guys will just tell me that i don't need to lose weight. and i know i don't need to lose weight, that isn't my question. my quesiton is that even know i'm at a healthy weight range and i know that i'm pretty slim, i still have a little fat near my stomach especially around and below my belly button. and i'm so frustrated because i've been doing over 100 crunches a day, and i run on my treadmill a lot and its still there! for the most part i try to eat healthy, but i know i don't always eat healthy.
also how bad is diet soda for you? because i drink one almost everyday and i want to know how bad it is for me and if i should stop.

diet soda: don't drink it. it's better to drink regular soda every two days than diet soda everyday. diet soda actually makes you gain weight. regular soda is much, much better for you & tastes better. do it in moderation. it's like this: would you rather have one chocolate every ten days or ten fat-free [ gross ] chocolates everday?

My sister just let me know that our dog, who is really old (around 17) has been in pain and has been having trouble walking/balancing. The other night, she noticed he was crying and that he was lying on his stomach, on all legs (spread across the floor). She took him to the vet today, and he said that since our dog is old, he has pinched nerves and is in pain.. so he gave him an injection (not sure what) and took a blood test. He also has a prescription for steroids. We're going to see how he feels after a while.. if he is still in pain, we may have to put him to sleep.
Anyway, my question is: has anyone ever heard of this, and how common is it? Also, what are the chances that my dog (at his old age) will actually feel better with the meds? I have a feeling we may have to put him to sleep soon :( (link)

my first dog was like that.... we put her on meds but it was to late because she couldnt hear,see, or smell anything if you put a bowl of food in front of her she couldnt even tell it was there :( so we had to put her to sleep but i guess it was good so she didnt have to keep feeling all the pain.
