in our schooll, its like french-kissing, but other places i think it means sex? or does it.....

usually in high schools its french-kissing but in collage hooking up is like having casual sex.i have wondered about what you call stuff too.

i think its more like in high schools hooking up is kissing, but in college it is casual sex

"hooking up" (where i am at least) means not actually together like bf/gf, but having sex.
its like a friend with benefits.
"going out" means going on a date
and being "together" means bf/gf.

it depends alot of people i know just take hooking up as making out or in your words "french kissing" but i think whe npeopl use the term hooking and mean it like sex its for when your older there fore hooking up=making out=teenagers
and hooking up=sex=adults
