hey, I have swimming in gym in about 5 days. I used to be a cutter and I still have the scars on my arms. I don't want anyone to see the scars. I am no longer injuring myself, but the scars are very noticable. Can anyone give me advice as to how to hide the scars in the pool? Thanks so much. I will rate high for good answers.

You may not be able to. But, its part of who you are. If you don't want to discus it with people you certainly don't have to. It may cause them to make up their own stories though.
I think you should tell them if they ask. You may be a help to someone else who has the same problem. Overcoming a problem like that is very admirable. If you are no longer cutting, just let people know it is possible to stop. :)

I have lived in my town for 8 years of my life and now my family is probably moving to a town about an hour away. when we move i'll b a freshman next yeAR( I'm a girl by the way) i don't know how i am going to possibly make new friends!! How do i talk to people and not seem all shy and stuff? I want to make new friends right away, but HOW? i need help!! Also when we move I'll have to break up with my boyfriend that i love so much. I know it is a worry for you but making friends probably won't be as hard as you fear.
You'll meet someone in your new neighborhood and make friends. Through that person you will meet more people. It may even be a good thing.
An hour away really isn't that far away. You could probably hang on to your boyfriend for a while if you both want to. But, maybe a new start there isn't a bad thing either.
Unless he can make it to some of your school dances and things it will be pretty hard to stay together. You really don't want to miss those kinds of things. So, staying together (unless he drives) may not be the best thing.
You can remain good friends though and once he can drive it won't be hard to see each other on the weekends.

I was wondering ...what are the symptoms of ADD? ADHD? Because i'm wondering if I have it. I'm always hyper, It's very difficult to concentrate on some thing and I just don't know.
I'm gonna ask my doctor next check up but that might be a while.

Symptoms are pretty much the same for both. The HD kids are just more hyper. My guess is that you're hyper because of your age. Its pretty normal. :)

My period hasnt come yet. (I did not have sex) It was supposed to happen 2 weeks ago, and Im not sure if thats a natural thing to skip every once in a while, or if its a real problem. Is it abnormal or normal? (link)

Fair warning this isn't a "omg am I pregnant? question"
Well I had sex with a long time friend, the condom broke and we both noticed it as soon as it happened. I'm not worried about being pregnant, because I have all the signs that my period is going to start soon.
Anyway it happened on Saturday night, well since the condom broke is there any chance that a tiny part of the condom, is still inside me? Since it broke and it may have like torn a piece got stuck to the inside of my vagina? Or should I not really worry about?

alright well i've known this guy for about a year or so but i just started really talking to him recently. we talked on the phone constantly and i saw him pretty much everyday. over the week that we REALLY got to know each other, he told me he couldnt stop thinking about me and that he thought he was in love. of course, being a girl, i thought it was the sweetest thing and i loved it.he asked me out and i told him to let me think about it and stuff. i promised him i would tell him the next day whether i would go out with him or not. well the next day i went over to my friend's house where we met up with her boyfriend. i went upstairs to grab something and while i was gone my guy called me to see what the answer was. my friend's boyfriend answered and my guy asked to speak to me and my friends b/f said that he was my boyfriend. then he said just joking and handed the phone to my friend. well my guy thought it was me and he said " well whats the answer?" my friend, being a total retard, said " i need another day." and hung up the phone. when i got back downstairs i tried called him back but there was no answer. he hasnt called me since. its been about a week or so since that happened. i really miss him and i do want to go out with him. i wish my friends wouldnt have answered the phone. all i want my guy to do is just call me so we can get everything sorted out. what should i do? help please (link)

You definitely need to contact him and explain what happened. I'm sure he thinks he was being made fun of or something.
If at all possible those friends of yours need to apologise to him too and let him know that you in no way had anything to do with their goofing around. :)

She stated in her answer she said she was 12, maybe you thought that the person filing the report was referring to the question asker. (and maybe she was) but the person said in the answer (if I'm not mistaken) that they were 12.
I know I'm an L2 and can ban people, but I wasn't sure if I missed something or not.

my uncle's german shepered bit me and i have a big bruise do i have a rabies? cause my uncle said he got complete rabies shots so i dont have to worry but my friends and my PE teacher said that i have to go to the doctor im confused
and my mom doesnt know that my uncle's dog bit me
by the way the dog bit me in 05/9/2006 and
i washed my wound after he bit me it didnt break my skin that much and no blood at all.

The bruise may be sore a few days but, if the skin didn't break and your uncle says the dog has had its shots (which doesn't even matter since skin wasn't broken), you will be fine. :)

What is the age ( or around the age) that you have to start getting your vagina examined by a doctor?
Can the doctor tell if you've have sex before? Would the excuse "I pushed a tampon in too far" work?
Are doctors allowed to tell your parents you've been having sex if you dont want them to? (link)

You already have some really good info from other users. I just want to point out that the BEST time to see a doctor is BEFORE you become sexually active. Not just when you become sexually active. I know most don't do it that way but its the ideal time. I would suggest anytime after age 16 unless you become sexually active before that.
The doctor will ask probably before the exam, if you are sexually active. It is simply so they can give you information and answer questions you may have. They will not judge you one way or the other so be honest.
Once you become that doctors patient he/she will not discuss your sex life with your parents. They will know of any tests you have if they have insurance paying for the visit, but they should all be routine tests. Any talking you do or questions you ask though will remain private between you and your doctor.

After you end your period when you're around 50ish, what happens next? Is there a new kind of period? Or does something else happen? Or do you just go back to being a kid again like with no more things that come 1nce a month? (link)

OK girls. I have had no period and menopause for at least 15 years now. Started in my early 30's.
Slight hot flashes now and then...not a big deal and definitely prefer it to a period! Life is grand...I say we all revert to childhood again.
Just thought I'd mention it so you all have something to look forward to! ;)

My friend went on the Depo shot sometime around the middle of March and lost her virginity (unprotected) maybe a couple weeks after that. Thing is, she hasn't started her period yet. It's now nearly 7 weeks later and she's scared. The only time she's bled on the shot is after having sex. She has only had PROTECTED sex once of twice but has had unprotected sex many times. She says she's not going to worry about it but I can tell she is and I don't know what to tell her. Is it normal for her not to spot or start her period or is this something she should see her doctor about or take a test for? Please help, I rate high! Thank you. (link)

She needs to talk to her doctor. The depo shot can really cause some strange things to happen.
I worked in a docs office and we had a girl who had her period for 5 months straight after starting on the depo shot. Doc said it was a possible side affect...not one I would want!
My main concern for your friend is that most doctors will tell you not to have unprotected sex until you have been on the birth control for at least 30 days. If she had unprotected sex after only a couple of weeks she needs a pregnancy test.
She may not be pregnant, like I said the depo shot can cause strange things to go on. But just to be on the safe side and for her piece of mind, she needs tested.
EDIT........
Maybe she could at least get a home test. A call to the doctors office might be worth a shot too. The nurse may know whats going on and could save some time. See if she won't at least do that. :)

You need to give them all the boot right out of your house. If she is caught selling drugs out of your house or if it is suspected she is, the cops will come rip your house apart looking.
Then you could get arrested right along with the rest of them.
You could go to the police. Tell them what is going on and ask them what to do about it.
I would make them all leave your house though as soon as possible.

I am 15 this year and I have a younger sister who will be 12 next week. My sister has always had behavioural problems, she shouts and screams, she's rude, she's spiteful and bitchy to her friends and her family, the list goes on.
I've always had to put up with her behaviour but now I'm getting really unhappy. I am basically not allowed to spend time alone with my Mum because my sister gets jealous and has a huge tantrum until we let her come with us. My sister also gets away with swearing and being violent towards me but if I lay a finger on her I get into huge trouble because 'I am older and should know better'. For example, if me and my sister have a fight, it will be me who gets into trouble and not her.
My family have tried councilling, pills, punishments, everything on her but nothing works.
My best friend's family adopted two children, one of which befriended my sister. They have now fallen out and my sister keeps making spiteful websites about her. This is putting pressure on my friendship with my best friend and her family, which I'm really upset about because I've always got on really well with them and I was friends with them before they even adopted my sister's friend. I've spoken to my best friend and asked her not to let my sister affect us but I'm worried that her parents will hold my sister's behaviour against me.
I'm sick to death of my sister's behaviour and have stopped speaking to her. I completely resent her. I've tried talking to my parents numerous times about how I feel but it never helps.
I have no idea what I'm supposed to do anymore, it was bad enough when my sister was just upsetting my home life, but now she's started ruining my friendships too and I can't take that.

First I apologise for not getting back to you sooner. I have been out of town for a week.
I can certainly understand your resenting your sister. Seems like a perfectly rational response to an awful situation.
I wonder, has your sister ever been diagnosed with a problem? Or does she just do these things because she seems to get away with them?
I do believe if one doctor hasn't an answer you keep trying until you find one who does. But, you aren't her parent so that won't be of much help to you.
You said you had talked to your friend. That's good. She probably knows what your sister is like anyway, right? I don't really think you should worry to much about her. If she is a true friend she will know you aren't responsible for your sisters bad behavior.
What you could do, if you get along with her, is go to your friends mom and tell her whats happening.
She is involved in the whole thing in a way since your sis is being mean to one of her kids.
Let her know that you do not approve of your sisters behavior and wish you had the power to do something about it...you just don't.
As for your sister, get along with her as best you can. But, don't take any crap from her either. As a matter of fact, if it were me, I'd let my parents know that while you won't go out of your way to be mean to her or anything...you won't be babying her either. She definitely needs taken down a peg or two!

Okay here is my story ...
I'm 23 and I live with my bf ...I never had a real bf before so all this is kinda new for me..

First you have to tell yourself that its OK for you to want to have sex with your boyfriend.
Next, if it makes you feel embarrassed just realize that he will LOVE it if you make the first move. :) He will really feel wanted!
Now, fix him a nice meal...maybe put some candlelight on the table. Put on something sexy and let your boyfriend know he is the only guy in the world for you!

The only way to be certain is to take the test.
If you aren't it will be such a relief for you!
Your parents won't kill you. They may be disappointed or worried for you. They may just surprise you.
Take the test. Let me know what it says. If its positive I will help you with a way to tell your parents.
