my teacher let one of my closest freinds, another girl and i start an advice column. we gave them a week to type in but still nobody wrote in! what do we do do we give them time and eventually they'll write in or is this just a waste of our time?

Since no one has responded, for your first week, just make up some good questions and answer thoses. That will get your column started and show the students what you are all about. No one will even know the questions are made up. That's how Advicenator's got started.

14/F. Next time my dad goes to the movie store I get to pick a few movies. I prefer scary movies rated pg-13 or R. Movies I like were Saw and the Ring. I personally thought the Grudge was stupid. Any ideas? (I will take suggestions other then scary movies if they are good)

Yes, "The Grudge" did suck, not scary at all. For me, one of the scariest movies I have seen is "Candyman". A good orginal gruesome triller is "Cube," it's an independant film to warn you. Most recently I have enjoyed "Jeepers Creepers," but not the sequal. Have you ever seen "Arachnaphobia"? That's kinda creepy, yet funny. And any "Nightmare on Elm Street", that's always good for a laugh.

I got a prom dress for my Senior Promt his year last year when they were on sale. My mom made me get it a size bigger tha I am thinking I would grow into it over the year but I haven't. So I was wondering how much do you think it would cost to get it taken in about a half a inch. thanx for any help

It dependes on the tailor, how the dress is made and the fabric. Plan on spending at the very least $20.

I'm currently a senior in hs and already have a dress for my Senior Prom but I like my Junior Prom dress better. So would it be weird to wear last year's dress again. Or should I just suck it up and wear my new one.

Besides I think it is silly to have to buy and expensive dress for every dance. My sister and her friends actually trade dresses.

I i got the dancing game i wanted (DDR). I cant stop playing it. My mom says i acn lose a lot of weight playing it. Is losing a lot of weight good or bad? I need help.

This is a dumb question. What you are doing is a form of excercise. Wether you are fat or skinny, exercise is always a good idea.

I got this as a Christmas present last year, and just today tried to instal it. However, my dad unfortanetly got the Special DVD Edition! I don't have a DVD-ROM drive in any of the 5 computers in my house, not including my dad's totally off-limits work-only PC. The normal CD-ROM drive I have doesn't even recognize the disc Sims 2 came with as a disc at all! :/ Is there any way I can get around this and install it? Or do we have to drop another $40 on the normal version? -sigh-

The Sims 2 requires a lot of memory and special video cards even to run; the disc may not be your problem. Always make sure you have all the needed requirements before opening any software.

well i have this friend and one day we started hooking up. After that he asked me if i wanted to keep it between us or tell people and i said keep it between us. We still hook up and we have been for a few months. He hasnt told anyone and i was wondering if hes doing that because he promised me he wouldnt or if hes like embarrassed to tell anyone? .. i dont know because sometimes he flirts with me but sometimes he doesnt really pay attention to me. What do you think?

He's being nice and keeping his promise. Would you rather have him tell everyone that you are easy and he can sleep with you without any sort of commitment? Why are you asking this question? Is it because you are embarrassed?

Hey, can anyone give me symptoms of strep throat? I think I might have it. My throat has been hurting really bad the past 3 days, my nose has been stuffed up, my head hurts, and my stomach hurts...ick. Thanks a bunch!

Doesn't sound like strep. It sounds more like a sinus infection if your head hurts and is stuffed up. The soar throat is caused by fluids draining down your throat. I can't guess why your stomach hurts. Go see your doctor.

I am a preschool teacher at a church. The church supplies us with a yearly budget for craft supplies and snacks. My assistant is in charge of getting snacks for the students. She charges these at a grocery store on the church's account. When I checked the receipts I saw that she had charged two inexpensive personal items for herself and the chruch paid for it. She is my friend or atleast I thought she was. The church never asks for the itemized receipts only the total amount. Should I report her?

I would ask her about it first and give her a chance to explaine before "turning her in." If she denies she did anything wrong, then you should talk to someone about it.

I recently had a boyfriend and i liked him alot and he said he liked me. then 18 days later he broke up with me. he said he wasnt ready for a relationship, but i have been hearing from friends that he thought i took up to much of his time or i was to controlling. he said it had nothin to do with me and still wants to be friends. i like him so much and want more than friendship what do i do?

What you heard is propably true. Being in a relationship took up too much of his time, and he just wasn't ready for that kind of commitment. You can't force him to date you, so for now, be his friend, and hopefuly when he is ready to date, he'll ask you out again.

ive been trying hard to lose my stomach fat but it doesnt work! my stomach is getting bigger and bigger and im getting mad! does anyone know how to lose stmach fat other than crunchs and situps? ive tried those and they dont work.. like any workouts that you KNOW that will work?

If your stomach is getting bigger and bigger, you first need to figure out a new eating habit before worring about exercise. And cruches don't help you loose fat, they build muscles and tighten your stomach; you have to give it a few weeks before seeing any sort of results. Running is one of the best ways to burn calories. There is no way to loose weight overnight. It takes months, even years.

How do you get your husband away from the t.v. and spend time with the children?

Make dinner, and sit together at the table. That way you will actually have to look at eachother and talk. Plan family outings away from the house.

Uh, why don't you just tell her. Then you get pads for free, and you won't have to lie, lol. Besides, your mom's not dumb, she'll know what's going on.

Yes, because if you happen to get pregnat, you would be unable to be responsible for it, since you yourself are a child. You have to be prepared for the consequences of your actions.

OK. I'm allergic to fake earings and it really sucks. I can't get those earings with fake silver that only cost a dollar anymore. Is there any way I can were fake earrings(not clip-ons) with getting a rash on my ear?

I use to work in the acessories department at a Herberger's, a department store. You can get lots of earrings at a resonable price. What you need in nickle free earings. You can find many for under $10 and even cheaper when on sale. Another choice is sterling silver. Most stores have theirs at 50% off all the time. You can get a pair for under $5.

My brother in law is living with me and my husband.
I don't mind that he's staying in our house. What I can't stand is that he is messy. He'll go into the kitchen and get something to eat and not put it away. He'll get a glass of juice and not wash his glass. Not only does he not wash it, but he leaves it on the kitchen table for me to do it.

What do you suggest I do?

Tell him your not his maid or mother. If he wants to continue living under your roof, the least he could do is pick up after himself, and even help with the housework.
