you don't realize it now, but you're still SO young. [ & not in a bad way ] & just .. yeah. at 13 you're pretty much still a kid [ & let me restate that that is NOT a bad thing ], and there's just no reason for 13 year olds to be having sex.

Alot of people aren't ready when their 13, so I would say wait. You need to feel that you are ready, and not just be doing it to try and make the person your going out with stay with you. Alot of times, relationships might seem like they'll work out, but they really don't. Any person should wait until they've found the right person. Noone should just have sex with someone, because they want to make the other person happy, or their afraid of losing them. It is a bad idea. There are so many things that could go wrong. It could ruin your reputation, make you pregnant, spoil your friendships, make you feel like a hoe and alot more. Just wait a couple years. But if you still want to, make sure you use protection. Besta Luck

I am 15 and still haven't had sex yet, and I've had offers ;) Your way to young to be even thinking about it. 1 of my friends had sex at 13 and now her baby is 2 years old cause the condom broke and they didnt know it. The other one... well she died from AIDS 3 months ago. Im not saying these things will happen to you, but it isnt smart. And if you decide to make this mistake then make sure you go to planned parenthood to get on the pill and some patches and make sure he wears a condom. Dont let him talk you out of him wearing one. Even if you THINK you "love" him you probably dont. I just found out what I THINK love is. And hunny when I thought I felt it before it wasnt like this. I really hope you wait.... and i hope i helped

well its not a good idea, i mean think of the risks, hun, condoms arent protection, they only REDUCE the risk of aids and pregancy, and,if u puit to on, its less likely to work. hun, you could get AIDS, a STD, a VIRAL STD, pregnant, etc. besides, you have plenty of time to do it when your older.

I don't think its a good idea, i know none of us can stop you but i just want to tell you a story. At 13 my friend thought she was in love with this guy who she was going out with for 2 years and she decided that she should have sex with him. They used protection but the condom ripped and she got pregnant. Not only did she have to deal with being pregnant but her parents also kicked her out of the house and the guy left her. Now she lives in homeless shelter with her baby and her life is a living hell. So just think before you do something stupid -Courtney-

Well.. in a way yes.. but in a way no. I say its not though. If you think your old enough to deal with the concequences of sex.. then yes.. your old enough. But if you cant deal with emotional pain, then no. Sex comes with a lot of baggage. Just make sure your totally ready before you start.

Yes, having sex at the age of thirteen is a bad idea because you can face a lot of consequences that will turn into problems. You could get pregnant or get an STD. If people start to find out if you are having sex, they will assume that you are a slut. You should wait until you're older. Hope I helped :)

yea it is.. but I do know people who have lost it at 13. its still not a good idea.. there are so many risks that your not ready to have at 13..and you could regret it for the rest of your life.. Id wait til 16 or 17 at the youngest

YES, wait until your married. Be responsible. For your sake and your childs(that's what sex leads to). If you have a kid at 13, it probably won't live and if it does, it'll have problems for the rest of it's life. Just don't do anything until you're fully grown and married.

Well...yeah, because it's against the law, but emotionally, physically and mentally it all depends on the person. A thirteen year old could be more ready to have sex than a 30 year old.
But with regards to pregnancy and STDs, yeah, it is a REALLY bad idea. Especially if you catch an STD and then have to go to the doctor or gynocologist - people would look down on you like anything, not to mention the fact that it could make you infertile or even kill you, and you could get a really nasty reputation for being 'easy' or a slut. Save your first time for someone really special who deserves it, because how do you know that you're not being used? And if you have had sex at thirteen...well as long as you used protection you should be OK. But be careful, there are a lot of nasty guys (or even women) who would really like the opportunity to take advantage of a 13 year old guy/girl.
