Prom Dress

Question Posted Tuesday February 22 2005, 10:08 am

I'm currently a senior in hs and already have a dress for my Senior Prom but I like my Junior Prom dress better. So would it be weird to wear last year's dress again. Or should I just suck it up and wear my new one.

I think it might be kind wierd because people might remember it, and if theres any pictures...
On the otherhand, if you really dislike the dress you have now, you can always return it. If not, see if you can alter it in anyway...

If you love your jr. prom dress better wear it. Nobody is going to remeber what you wore. If its something you love wear it. Its okay to wear the same thing twice.

Wear your old one if thats the one you prefer why try and go out in something you dont really want to wear. You wont enjoy the night and you'll be asking questions about your dress all night.

Whatever one you think is prettier on you! It doesn't matter if you wore the one from last year! Just do a diffrent hairstyle and wear diffrent shoes.

Theres a few things to think about before you decide---
1- do you remember what everyone else was wearing last year?..if not, why should they remember you?
2- if you are trying to get yourself a good rep., wear the new one, anyone who wears the same thing twice to their PROM of all things will probably not be liked. ( sorry thats just the way hs goes)
3- dont try to 'fix up' the old dress like someone said...that is extremly tacky and people will think even lower of you.
4- it is just one dance, one night, one memory. will you really care that much in the end about what dress you'll wear?
I would go with the new one though

I honestly don't think you should wear the same dress twice. I never wear the same outfit twice! My advice would be to try and find a dress that is similar but people will be able to tell the difference. You should really wear what you want to wear but this is my advice to your problem.

What you could do is get the old one fixed up (with liek lace or ribbon)that way no one would know it was the one you wore last year. BUt im sure you look great in both so if you cant do that just wear the new one.

If you like last year's dress better, than wear it because no one is going to remember that you wore it. You can wear what ever you want and it wouldn't be weird.

Wear what you want to. Do you think anyone is really going to remember?

Besides I think it is silly to have to buy and expensive dress for every dance. My sister and her friends actually trade dresses.
