advice
I don't have a flat stomach so I'm going to do cardio excersizes to fix that. I really love to run and running helps me stay in shape and it's the only fun thing I like to do for excersizing, but there's a problem. Where I am, it's 100 degrees and I can't run around in that kind of heat! I almost passed out just by walking because its soo hott! I don't have a tredmill, I'm too young to go to the gym, and I can't use anyone else's tredmill. How can I still run, and what are some more excersizes I can do that will have the same effect on me as running to help me lose the fat in my stomach? (I already know about sit ups and crunches.) And what are some healthy foods to eat?

you'd be suprised how hard the moves really are. they really works you muscles. you can buy/rent pilates dvd's pretty much anywhere. I have one that i got at Ulta and it like targets different areas. so if you just feel like working on your stomach you just skip to that part of the dvd. get a begginer dvd because its harder then it looks!! they're only like $10-20. Theres also dance cardio dvds and some of them are coollike hiphop or bellydancing. I use netflix, and i know they have a really big selection, but if you go somewhere to rent dvds they probably have a lot too! dvds are awsome because you can do them in your house and not have to do it infront of people lOl

if he doesnt want to be with you, then dont wait for him. if he really likes you as much as he says he does, then he would want a relationship. to me, it sounds like he wants to "experiance" hooking up with other girls before he gets tied down to one. player. dont wait..find someone hotter and sweeter and more LOYAL and HONEST then him

What do most people define as "hooking up"?
Thats whats great about the term...no one knows what it means! but i think what most people think it means...and what i mean when i say it..is pretty much "doing anything" with a guy/girl. It could be kissing or having sex or anywhere inbetween. It depends on how serious the person is when they're talking about it. Most high school kids dont mean sex when they say "hook up" because they're still young, but some do..but there really isnt a definition

i think i like a gay guy. i would ask him out if only he wasn't gay. hes cute but wears the same tight jeans that look like he got them out of the womens department everyday. i have no idea why he would wear that in the summer anyway. also with that outfit, he would wear a black shirt, black sneakers, volcom cap, and checkered belt. also only on one day he wore a different outfit. it was a marun (however you spell it, and if u don't no what i put, its that dark red and purplish color) shirt, plaid shorts, same belt and hat, and green sneakers. it looks like he took a pair of shorts out of my dad's closet. i don't know if hes gay or if he just doesn't have style. what do u think? and also i would like him if he wasn't "gay" and had better style. what should i do? thanks-♥
Been there, Done that. I'm an expert on this one.
1. If its just the way he dresses that makes you think hes gay, you still have a chance with him. A lot of STRAIGHT guys wear girl pants. It's not too big of a deal. Flirt with him and see if he flirts back. Look for signs, like does he have a lot of guy friends? If most of his friends are girls or other guys with questionable sexuality, he might be gay. but if he has a lot of guy friends who are definately straight, theres a good chance he is too. Talk to some of his friends and make something up like, "Didnt (your guy) date (a girl you know)?" and his friend will either be like, "no, hes gay" or "no, he didn't" and then you can be like, "oh well he must have dated a girl that looked like her because i swear i saw them at the movies" and see how they react.
2. If this guy actually ACTS gay, DO NOT waste your time. 6 months ago, i realllly liked this guy, he was so cute and sweet, but i thought he might be gay. Well one day he told me he liked me so obviously he wasn't gay and we started dating. Ohhh girl, let me tell you, it got annoying FAST. All the "cute, semi-gay" things he used to do were all the sudden REALLY gay and he didnt really act like a guy. I mean its one thing for a guy to like to shop...another thing for a guy to sit online for hours shopping off websites. Just trust me on this one - if he acts gay and its cute, it will NOT be cute for long. if you want to go for it..then just flirt with him big time and ask him to "hang out" so if hes gay, its not a "date". Say stuff like, "Orlando Bloom is so hott" and if hes like "yeah" then hes probably gay. if hes like "uhhh ok i guess" then hes probably not. but my advice is to NOT try to date him.

Every morning I wake up with deadly breath and a killer taste in my mouth. Even after I brush my teeth, it's still nasty. I don't know what else to do. Even when I brush my teeth before bed I have this problem. Any ideas on how to fight morning breath? (I had no idea what catagory to put this in!)
Definately use mouth wash...it helps sooo much!! Also, floss a couple times a week. I know it's hard to do everyday, but tiny food particles rotting in your mouth will make your breath HORRIBLE and if you just floss a couple times a week, all that plaque and food won't be there to stink up your mouth. Also, plaque and tarter absorb into your bloodstream and clog your arteries...it's weird but true. So if you floss you not only will have better breath but you could actually live like 2 years longer. Theres studies done on it

My friend is going to kill herself next Friday.
She seems happy about it.
I've tried to change her mind, but that didn't work.
She doesn't eat, she's an insomniac, and she is very stressed.
She's been to shrinks but she says that they were a waste of her time.
She hates her parents because she can never talk to them, I guess.
I don't know what to do.

if her parents know her situation and aren't checking her into a hospital....they are neglecting her. NO PARENT should sit around and let their child kill themselves
This is what will probably happen:
you're parents will most likely talk to her parents first, and if they cant convince them to take her to a hospital....you're parents will probably go to the police. Her parents will be mad, and so will she. She might be taken from them if they are neglecting her. But remember- it would be for the best...it would be saving her LIFE.
it might not work out that way, but if your parents do take action, you (and them too) should be prepared for the way her and her parents are going to react.
I know you want to do whats best for your friend, but you want her to go trough anything that will make her situation worse. Even tho shes been to doctors, she needs to see more--they are the only ones qualified to help her with this.

every time i put on makeup, i put on loads of waterproof mascara. and you got it! it never comes off whenever i use makeup remover. and i have tried many kinds of removers and i have to use waterproof mascara because i curl my eyelashes and if i use normal mascara it will uncurl them. and im asain so i need to curl it. so what should i do to get all this mascara off? i have even tried lots of makeup remover but it doesnt work.. any tips or GOOD makeup removers taht will take off lots of waterproof mascara
putting on mascara shouldn't uncurl your eyelashes, but if it does try using a masacara that curls your lashes. Sky High Curves by Mabelline is a pretty good mascara and the brush is shaped to curl your eyelashes "sky high". there are tons of mascaras that "curl" your lashes (actually, it's the brush that curls them) so i think you should try one of those, because nothing looks worse than old waterproof mascara slowly flaking of and getting in your eye and picking it off..

Okay, so I'm a natural blonde. but i want to dye my hair brown because i have really dark eye brows basically. and people said it would look good brown, and i also think it would look good, so i want to give it a try, but first i want to know. what if it doesnt look good. how can i get the brown out of my hair. and have my natural color back.
somoene told me if you wash your hair with tide it will go back to your natural hair color.

i would definately NOT recomend tide. i've heard of people getting hte color 'stripped out of their hair' but i'm not 100% positive how that works. talk to a pro at a hair salon. I do recomend going to a salon to get it colored- it will come out even and not be as damaging as box dye. Box dye is about $10 and you can get a good color for like $30 depending where you go so its really not too much more expensive..and definately worth it. and professionals know what tones will look best with your hair color and such

I met this guy in like beg of october last year at a campground ((family campground)) and we like have so much funn together and we like kissed and well i have been talking to him like online and over myspace ever since and in december he got a girlfriend, and this past weekend we both went camping again, ((he still has the same gf)) and well a few days before she went onto his myspace and was like 'back off he doesnt miss you' and all this shit, so once i got to the campground i tryed avoiding him but him and his friends approached me and my friend and you know he asked if we could like do stuff but keep it from his gf. and i was like yeah. so we like did, and he called me beautiful and told me he loved me more than his gf. and now i like cry everytime i even like think about him because i like him so much, and it scares me.
but i like almost never see him and i dont know how to get over him...
any suggestions?

I've finally decided where to go to college next year. I cancelled the housing/dorm form since I figured I could live with my sister in her apartment right by the school. I thought this would be great since the dorms at the school are notoriously crazy and that's not me at all.
Yet, now I'm having second thoughts. I already have a boyfriend, so I'm not worried about finding a 'hot guy' to hook up with or anything, but asside from classes, will I meet as many people? Would I be missing out on basic college experiences if I don't live in a dorm?
i really think you should live in a dorm. Not only will u get the experiance of meeting new people, but you'll see how it is to live away from family and if you live in a dorm, you're surrounded by a bunch of people going thru the same college experiance as you. you'll have more support for the things you may be nervous about, like classes, parties, exams and such because everyone will be going thru the same thing. Some colleges requie freshmen to live on campus. i'm guessing your college doesn't....but there is a reason why its sometimes required. You're going to be nervous and scared when you go to school in the fall and being on campus lets you get more involved and meet new people fast. even if you're not rowdy, go for living on campus. if you decide you don't like it, you can probably move after one semester or the next year. But remmeber, dorms are a good way to learn what its like to be on your own without being totally by yourself. If your sister was there, she'd be taking care of you. so good luck and have fun at college!

I have no idea what to do my moms birthday is coming up and she loves and collects Presious Moments and i really wanted to get her a nice present for her birthday and the presious moment i wanted to get her was 45$ and it was beautiful And like i am really broke rite now and i am young and thats a nice gift when you are as young as i am but i was like what ever my moms worth it so i told her that i found a birth day prsent for her and i was going to go back to the mall to buy it for her and she was bugging me to tell her what it was and i said no and today My Mom took me+my friend to the mall and My friend and me went to Hollister and i didnt know but she went to this store that she likes and spent $80 on Jeans and a shirt and she was like well you can give me these jeans for my birthday and i was like i already figured out what i wanted to buy you for your birhtday and ahe was like you should give me the money because that the pants are more practical and that made me mad that she bought that because we are kinda like in a bad situation with money and she asked me to buy her that and like it got me mad because she didnt even ask me first ahe bought them and just excpectedd i would give her the money you kno and then we got into this huge argument about about that i was a spoiled brat and what ever! and she told me to take the money and shove it up my ass so what should i not give her anything or should i do should i give her the money for the pants or should i buy her the presious moment? i would tell her i was sorry but i am not so i cant give an aplogy and less its sincere becaus i didnt do anything wrong!

awww well i understand that you are young and don't have a lot of money, i went thru those times a couple months ago before i got a job! i would always spend a lot of money and then be broke for months afterwards..but it felt so good to give gifts. what i would do if i was you, is i would give your mom the money for the jeans. between now and her birthday if you get some more money, buy the precious moment in addition to the money for the jeans. or maybe buy her a less expensive one. remember that your mom really liked the jeans and probably wouldn't have bought them if she didn't think you'd give them to her for her birthday. if you're family is in a bad situation with money, your mom could use the jeans alot more then the precious moment..good luck and don't forget that whether you give her the jeans or the precious moment, shes gonna like both a lot!

don't worry, every girl is different, some girls don't get it till they're like 18. one of my friends told me that she knew someone who was like 19 and still didn't have hers. you're probably fine!! but if you're really worried then talk to a docotr, but really..don't worry about it!!
