omg...i hate when people say hooking up! so many people have different definitions of hooking up...like me i would think hooking up means having sex...but some people mean it as kissing or making out...so it just all depends..sorry if im not much help

well.... hooking up can mean alot of different things. it's impossible to say that a majority of people think it means a certain thing. some say it's just going out, like "hey let's hook up for dinner." sometimes it's actually boyfriend/girlfriend like "yeah we hooked up last week." there isn't really a majority definition. it's just your own perspective.

Well, it's pretty much doing a bunch of stuff with a guy/girl just like randomly one night and it doesn't mean much. well that's atleast my deffinition.

When most people say "hooking up", they usually mean having intercourse with someone else.

-Having sex once
-Going out
-Hanging out
-Having sex && no relationship
-Having a relationship
People have their own meanings its hard to say exactly..

Thats whats great about the term...no one knows what it means! but i think what most people think it means...and what i mean when i say it..is pretty much "doing anything" with a guy/girl. It could be kissing or having sex or anywhere inbetween. It depends on how serious the person is when they're talking about it. Most high school kids dont mean sex when they say "hook up" because they're still young, but some do..but there really isnt a definition

'Hooking up' is simply having 'sexual fun' with no strings attached. This dosent nessesairly mean sex, [Eventhough in most cases it does] This could simply mean that they are looking for a girl [with physical activity] and just to plain out have fun. Hope I helped :]

i would say hooking up is getting together to date someone new. like a spontanous kind of thing between to sorta friends

My idea of "hooking up" is doing something with other other. Making out and/or more. Most of the time, it depends on the person. Everyone has their own idea of what it means.. that's just my personal idea.

It really changes for every person. Some define it as becoming boyfriend/girlfriend; others by having sex. Those are the two main definitions that I know of.

Most people think that means just making out, but sometimes it means more. You just have to specify with the person you're talking to.

I define making-out as hooking up. Anything along the lines of making-out and so forth is usually what hooking up means.
