Q: I've tried to stop drinking soda but going without the caffeine gives me headache. I've cut down on it so now its only once in a while but does anyone know a way to cut it out completely and replace it with something else???

I really love drinking diet green tea, which comes in lots of different flavors these days. I think that the caffeine boost is perfect without add loads of extra sodium and calories in my diet.

Q: I'm starting High School this tuesday.
I'm not scared or excited like everyone else is.

My friends are all going to different schools.
And I have a problem with meeting new people.
I have trust issuses with everyone around me(including strangers), so I try not to get close to anybody.
Everyone judges me as mean because of that.

Because of my hair, kids think I'm emo. and I'm tired of only making friends with kids who listen to emo music.

so, what do I say or do?
I want to meet all different types of people.
and this year isn't a good year for me, so I want to meet people who can help me get through everything.

One thing that's hard to do at first is just let your guard down, but once you do it, seeing how friends flock towards you makes it a lot easier. You just have to forget about what everyone else is thinking and put yourself out there. Even though you may be scared of being rejected by new people, there's no better way to make friends than to make the first move. Good luck with school, I hope it works out well for you.

Q: i hate going to school everyday and i just hate everything about school. (especially since im a freshman) i know this is sort of hard to answer, but what do you think i should do to enjoy going to school?

ps. im not athletic so i cant do sports lol

First, try to make the most of class time, especially if you have friends in your classes. They can keep your mind off all the work coming your way. Secondly, enjoy lunch and study hall because you're lucky to get breaks in between classes instead of havng to go non-stop. And Finally, see if there are any fun activities like clubs or groups that you could get involved in to make school seem more interesting. It's a great way to meet more friends and an incentive to get up and go to school in the mornings.

Q: do girls go for guys with piercings? if they are good looking that is, and do girls get attracted to guys with piercings,like let's say nose rings?and if they do, can you specify which part of the face or body you find most attractive for a piercing on a guy and how much piercings should your ideal guy have?thanks

Less is more in the case of a guy having piercings but it can be attractive, depending on what girls your looking at. I know lots of preppy girls who certainly don't mind a guy with earrings, are fine with a tongue ring, and even some who don't mind a lip or eye brow ring. I don't suggest nose rings for guys, just because they seem more girly. But as long as you don't have all of these piercing covering up your face, you should be fine.

Q: how exactly is green tea good for you//help you lose weight? does diet green tea work the same way?

Green tea has cleansing properties in it that help to rid your body of toxins as well as boost your metabolism in the process. The only time that there should be a difference between regular and diet green tea is if there is a sweetening agent added to the tea. These teas can be good, but if you can handle it, pure green tea with only something like lemon would be best in helping with weight loss. The added sugar is kind of a backstep in that whole process.

Q: I have a t-mobile phone. how much per minute [ extra minute ] if you go over. how much does it cost?
I know for some phones its like 5 cents but how much is it for t-mobile.

On my plan, every extra minute ends up costing 40 cents, but there is also extra tax slapped on, so even if you calculate how many minutes you've gone over times 40 cents, you can still end up with a higher bill due to those nasty taxes. I know it all too well. :)

Q: I need some makeup products that are waterproof. That includes cover-up, eyeliner, mascara brands. I know that not even the best makeup will stay on me forever in the water/sweat, but if you have tried any products that worked well, please recommend them to me. Also, products that I could possibly buy in a regular drugstore and aren't too expensive!

I don't know about all kinds of waterproof make up, but as far as my essentials, which are eye makeup and lipstick, I love Maybelline's Volume Express Turbo Boost Waterproof Mascara and any of those 8-hour lipglosses (like Outlast) work fine to keep you looking polished, even in water and sweat.

Q: why does everyone always say "this one time,at band camp.." i dont get it. is it from a movie or something?

That's a line from the first American Pie movie that Alyson Hannigan's character, Michelle, would say often before telling a story.

Q: What the heck is a pube? I hear people use the word in jokes alot, someone tell me what it is pleasssse!

That word is referring to your genitalia/netherregions and/or any hair surrounding the area.

Q: if someone sends you a picture from their cell phone, will the phone say if you saw it or not ?

Nope. The only way for them to know whether you viewed their picture or not is if you send them a response. And you can usually save the picture to your phone and delete the message so that you are just left with the picture in your images folder and no messages in your inbox.

Q: What do most people define as "hooking up"?

Most people think that means just making out, but sometimes it means more. You just have to specify with the person you're talking to.

Q: Can the pill cause you to lose appetite or gain weight?? thanks!

Usually the pill (I'm assuming you're talking about birth control) will cause you to gain a little weight, but it's not ridiculous. Once I went off them, I became a little less hungrier than I used to be and lost a little weight, but I think as long as you are looking for good contraception, it's a good deal.

Q: How can I send someone a friend request if there myspace is private and you have to know there Last Name or Email Address to send them a request and I don't know either, and I can't ask them?

Try to find a mutual friend that you have on myspace, and ask them to help you out. They should be listed in someone's friend list if they are also friends with them, and that way that person can either help you out with the last name or email address, or ask the private member to friend request you.

Q: so i'll start by telling you a bit about myself.

i am 15 f. i don't want to sound arrogant but yes, i am popular which is why i don't get what is going on. I am vasrity cheerleader as a sophmore and have no trouble w/ guys and have alot of girl friends. so this is my question...

i got into a figth with this girl and it got bad, but girls are catty. she tried to ruin my reputation, but i ruined her life =] i got her kicked off of class vice president and her friends hate her. but to be fair, she really deserved it im not kidding. she posted pictures of me that were like edited and crap to make it look like i was naked, like photocopying my head onto the pic or w/e. and posted it on alot of the lockers. idk why she did it, shes just jealous b/c im dating her ex bf. seems to me like SHES the sociopath not me...

so after this i got in trouble, the school sent me to a therapist to talk about why i act the way i do. he diagnosed me a sociopath. But um... sociopaths are psycho anti-socials and im the center of attention. Im not a freak, i love shopping and guys and they say just b/c im a little decieving and like it my way, makes me a sociopath???

can somebody please explain to me how a popular varsity cheerleader can be a sociopath because i am way not antisocial.

Anti-social in a psychological sense means that you react to situations in ways that society would not usually approve of. It does not mean that you are anti-social in the sense that you do not like to socialize with others.
For that reason, I think there is evidence that you have this disorder, because there are signs of an anti-social disorder in what you are saying. The fact that you like to be in control of the situation, you seem to have little or no sympathy for a girl's feelings when it comes to dating her ex-boyfriend, you wrote smiley's after saying that you caused girls to transfer, and you admit that you are deceiving and have 'ruined a girl's life'.
I'm not going to come down on you because this is a disorder that no one brings upon themselves, but I encourage you to continue to get help with it. It is better for you to try to work through this so that it doesn't affect relationship later in life. I know you may feel like you are on top of the world in high school right now, but it's a short time, and the world might have just as little sympathy for you as you did for that girl.

Q: alright well, im 15 and my friends are always telling me that you are supposed to shave your pubic hair..but...when ever i do it..it hurts. well i just i don`t know how or what to use. & i would ask one of them, but its more hard to do it with them knowing its me. i was wondering if you could give me some advice, of how to do it, or what to use or whatever. i would really appritiate it. i really neeed some help. =/ and since i`ve tried and it hurts..does that means something is wrong with me? becus i just did it with a razor and shaving cream. ughh helppp.

First off, I suggest making sure that the hair is pretty short before trying to shave because it just makes things easier. Then, try ot figure out the direction of growth, because you'll want to shave against the direction of growth. Be sure you use a new razor and be sure to take small, short strokes. I suggest using a sensitive skin shaving gel and also applying a healing lotion to the outer area after you are finished. The best advice I can give is to just take your time, be careful, and remember to put moisturizer on. Also, don't do it more than once or twice a week, because that skin just naturally gets irritated.

Q: what does it mean when you're seeing someone? does that mean you're with the person but then you're allowed to date other people?

Honestly, I think that could mean different things to different people. Usually it means that you are in a relationship with the person and you should be keeping it exclusive, but different people use the phrase in different ways, so if you have a question about it for a relationship that you are in, your best bet is to talk to your partner and ask what they mean by it.

Q: 16.Male Hey I'm not sure if it's becase of finals lately, but even before last week, I've found that I wake up and get a headache...really bad ones. When I go to sleep I usually don't have one, actually havn't at all. So why is this?

I have two pillows, a soft feather one that kinda sinks, and then one of those foam ones with the bend in them. I switch on and off, sometimes use both with a different one on top, but either way as soon as I wake up a headache hits me. Why is this? I can't take medicine on an empty stomach right away, so what should I do? Thanks.

Due to stress, some people tend to clench their teeth together, or bit hard and grind teeth, in their sleep, which can cause serious headaches upon awakening. I would suggest investing in a bite plate if the paint continues for more than another week.

Q: Hey today I asked my husband to fix me 2 pop-tarts you'd think all the work involved was poppin em' in the toaster but no he puts butter on the back of them. Have yall ever heard of this? 5's for all thoughts.

Well, if he put the butter on the back of them before putting them in the toaster, he might have been trying to brown the underside so it got toasted more. I've never heard of butter on a pop-tart after it's toasted though. But you're lucky to have a husband who is willing to do things for you when you ask. :)

Q: did the "skinny jeans" phase originate in the fourties/fifties or the eighties?!

I would definitely say the 80s because there was denim in the 40s and 50s, but only workers usually wore them. It wasn't until around the 70s when jeans became a must-have. And not until the 80s for the tight/skinny jeans instead of bell bottoms.

Q: okay. i thought that this day, 6/6/06 was the day the anti-christ was supposed to be born. but everyone is saying we are all gonna die today, but the bible doesnt say anything about this. so what is actually happening today?

Nothing is really going to happen. It's just people getting really skeptical. I mean, if you think about it, this has happened once a century for a while now (June, 6th, 1906 would have been marked as 6/6/06) and the world clearly didn't end then. Plus, the Bible says that no one can know when the world will end, so it is obviously not today.
