To be a brunette, your hair is to be dyed of course a brown shade ok so say you hate it, you'll have to go to a professional to get it dyed back blonde. The darker brown you dye your hair, the harder time it will be to getting it back to it's natural shade, should you decide you hate it. Here's what I would do.. Michelley answered Tuesday June 6 2006, 9:07 pm: i would definately NOT recomend tide. i've heard of people getting hte color 'stripped out of their hair' but i'm not 100% positive how that works. talk to a pro at a hair salon. I do recomend going to a salon to get it colored- it will come out even and not be as damaging as box dye. Box dye is about $10 and you can get a good color for like $30 depending where you go so its really not too much more expensive..and definately worth it. and professionals know what tones will look best with your hair color and such

HighlandAmy answered Tuesday June 6 2006, 8:17 pm: Eeeek! Don't put Tide in your hair... unless you want it all to fall out! Head and Shoulders, or other dandruff control shampoos will fade the color quickly, especially if used soon after dying.
One way to change your color without commitment, is to use a semi-perminant dye, or a glaze. Neither of these will change it the color drasticly, they will just tint your hair in the direction you want to go, and will wash out in about 30 shampoos.
By 'wash-out' I mean fade. Sometimes the color does not come-out completely... but it won't be as bad as if you use perminant dye.
LondonScene answered Tuesday June 6 2006, 8:16 pm: first why dont you try a hair dye that washes out. DONT USE TIDE, i hear it can really damage your hair, and believe me that'll make oyur problems worse. Go to your nearest hair dresser shop and ask to see what they think.
mayonnaise answered Tuesday June 6 2006, 8:11 pm: First off, don't wash your hair with Tide. Or you won't have any hair cause my friend did it.
Maybe you should start off using a semi-permant (washes out) color, to see if you like it. And if you do then go permanant!
Or, if you want to use permanant, they make stuff that will take the color out. But you will never be able to get your true natural color back unless you let your hair grow out then cut it. I've dyed my hair over 20 times (all different colors) so trust me, I know.
