Don't worry!! There is no particular age for a girl to get her period Some girls start theresas young as 8 or as old as 17. Each person goes at their own pace so don't think you're weird if you start your periods a little later than your friends because your NOT! You should try talking to your mother an older sister/girl friend, school nurse or doctor if you are really concerned. And one last thing - once you have it you'll probably be crying for it to go away again...BELIEVE ME!! lol

Yes ; it's perfectly normal that you don't have it. Some girls don't get theirs until their like 17..even 18! You're just a late bloomer. But if you are around the age of 17 and still haven't gotten it yet, then I'd suggest going to a doctor and seeing if everything's okay, which I'm sure it will be.. I'm sure you'll get it soon =) Just enjoy the time you have without it.. lucky. Just think, you've saved alot of money from buying pads and stuff lol =) I hope I helped!

Love,
MELii

nope .. thats fine. if you want to ask your mom when she got hers, and your fathers mother. and maybe if you have a older sister.. then you should be getting it some time that they did.. but if you want next time your in the doctors tell them .. and if they dont seem worried.. then its no problem <3

Yes, its perfectly normal. Some people dont get it untill they are 18 years old. Be happy that you havent gotten it yet. Also Ive read if your involved in sports it prolongs your period. So just because your 15 and havent gotten it doesnt mean your abnormal, enjoy the time you dont have it =)

I know someone who didnt get it until they were seventeen, and she was healthy and everything, she just got it later. That could be the same with you, or you might be sick...Go to the doctor deffinitly and just double check to make sure that your ok. Your doctor can probably tell you when you will get it....Good Luck!

Definitely! This is extremely normal. You can get your period from ages 9-18. Here's a couple of websites that may help:

S_C answered Saturday August 13 2005, 10:02 pm:
Have you talked to your mom about it? Two family friends I know didn't get theirs until late 15 and early 16, so it's not abnormal. Are you into any sports? Especially sports that have to do with a lot of excercise, or keeping your weight low? Have you ever had any eating disorders such as anorexia nervosa, or bulemia or anything? Those are all things that can delay a period from coming. I got my period this year, I'm 14. You still have a little less than a year, but if you are really concerned you should consider talking to your mom about it, or any other female you feel comfortable talking to. I'm going to be a sophmore too, and I know a few girls who haven't gotten theirs, but mostly because they're really into sports and stuff.
Anyway, I hope I eased your mind a little, or gave you some ideas of why your period may be late. Also, I don't know if I mentioned it, but stress delays periods, even if you've never gotten it, stress can delay it from coming.
Okay, well I hope you got an answer you were looking for, have a nice night!! ~(*Kate*)~

Every female develops at different rates and it isn't a bad thing that you haven't gotten your period yet. This is normal so don't worry about it. Some girls don't get their first period until they're eighteen. You can always talk to a doctor about this if you need to. Once you're eighteen and still haven't gotten your period, then that isn't normal.
