If you are really unhappy in your current relationship break up with her first. Then approach
the girl you really like.
If you approach her now while still in another relationship it won't make you look really good. Plus she may not take you seriously. :)

It is great that you want to love someone for their personality. And you will. :)
You usually see a face first though. There is nothing wrong with looking at someone and thinking
they look hot. Doesn't make you a bad guy. That's just a first impression.
Once you get to know that person you think looks hot and she turns out to have a personality that you can't stand...she will no longer look hot. Trust me on that!
The opposite can also be true. You may meet someone who doesn't seem all that great looking. You get to know her and like her personality, and like magic she will look like the most beautiful girl in world.
I know some people don't think that's true but it really is.
So don't worry about it. You aren't a dirt bag! :)

This question has probably been asked a million times so..sorry to ask it again.
Somebody said that it was proven that dry humping can get you pregnant. is that true or is it just a myth to scare people away from it.

It is a myth. Unless semen enters the vagina, there is no way you can get pregnant. :)

Hey this is more of a question then advice but I notice all the columnists have different stars above their names. Some have only 5, one girl had six, some are shaded dark grey, some light, some gold. I guess my question is what is the highest thing you can have above your name when you go to search columnists. There are actually 5 stars. They reflect your columns rating. Someone with a 5 rating will have all their stars a dark color (they are green on my computer :).

Someone can have just a few stars because they are new. It isn't just a sign they don't give good advice, though it could be. You might want to check out their column before you ask them an inbox question.
Having all 5 stars completely filled in doesn't necessarily mean they will give good advice either actually. Most of the ones with 5's (not all) just
tell a person what they want to hear. A good columnist will tell whats right and not worry about the ratings.

I don't have any real statistics for you.
I would guess that it isn't a very big percentage
that you all as a band would go on to fame and fortune. Not that it isn't possible, just not likely.
The reason is that as you get older priorities do change. You'll find yourself in a band with 2 types of people. The first are the ones with stars in their eyes. They want to be a rock star! And then you will have others who just want to play for fun. They have fun playing but they don't have the courage, or maybe they just don't have that urge to do the work no matter what.
If you want to be in a band and you want to make it your life's work, you will have to one day break away from those doing it just for fun.
That's why I believe that the percentage of high schoolers in a garage band making it to the big time are pretty low. :)

Not everyone will bleed. That is a myth.
Some girls have very thin and fragile hymens
that will break for many reasons not relatted to sex. This is from ivillage.com
Not all women bleed the first time they have sex. The hymen is a membrane at the vaginal opening; it has perforations in it so menstrual blood can escape. Sometimes, there is a large central opening. During first intercourse, the hymen may be stretched, rather than torn -- in such a case, there will be no bleeding. Sometimes a virgin will have a torn hymen. The hymen can be torn before first sex by tampon use, gynecological exams, a straddle injury (falling on the crossbar of a bike, for example), or other events. If the hymen is already torn, she will not bleed when she has sex for the first time.
You are a virgin if you have never had sex before. Bleeding does not demonstrate virginity.

This guy & I have been 'talking' for a while. we hooked up & we're basically unofficially together because I want a friendship first. Well the other night we were really close & stuff & he asked my for my friend's older sister's number. After he asked a couple times, I got the number for him thinking nothing would happen since she's 2 years older and has a bf. Well he text her all that night and he totally hit on her. The next day my friend told me and forwarded the texts.. he tried to deny it but then he came clean. He said he was sorry & that he wanted another chance & eventually my trust back. I think [not sure] I want to give him another chance because i think we could make it work & my last relationship- my ex dumped me when I lost his trust & it completely torn me apart so I have some understanding. My question is what should I tell him to do to "make it up to me"? Something that would show he really is sorry & won't do it again. Well there isn't much you can tell him to do. He needs to be true to you and he has to show you he can do that without you telling him a thing. If you tell him what to do he is just following orders...he doesn't have to mean that.
Just tell him you want to be treated with respect and you won't tolerate him cheating or hitting on other girls.
It will take time but you can learn to trust him again. Let him know that too. Make him work for it himself and it will mean so much more. :)

hi, well i 2day i put a perch next to my cockatiel just to carry on the perch training. well, as i put the perch next to it, he made this noise that sounded like someone breathing out from there nose. try it, but it was louder. then it decided to start biting the perch, and attack it. whats wrong with my bird?? thanks in advance (link)

Mine hisses now and then too. Much like a cat sometimes! It means they are afraid. Put the perch in while your bird isn't in the cage. :)

I had been with my partner for a year and a half. We have been best freinds for 3 years aswell. We split up last night because we had been having petty arguements for the last few weeks. I hope petty arguments won't keep you apart for long.
Write a long letter. Tell him what he means to you,
just pour it all out. He can't interrupt or argue and throw you off track. Tell him everything and anything you think he should know. How the breakup is hurting you, how much you want to try again etc.
Take it to him tonight and let him read it. Hope it works. :)

just these few days, he got into a fight with his girlfriend of several years... well more like she got upset with him because he lied to her on something small. And just a few hours ago, she broke up with him and he's really depressed. He's totally heads over heels for her and wants to marry her, so when she broke up with him, it really hurt him, but he blames it on himself for lying to her. He's a really sweet guy and i dont like seeing him so heartbroken because of this.
She was always concerned about his grades and he got a c average senior year because he was always thinking about her and she wanted him to try his hardest so he told her that he was so that she wouldnt see it as her fault. But she thought it was her fault anyway that he did bad so he had to tell her that he wasn't trying his hardest.. which she saw as lying and got upset at him.
Right now hes in PA for college [I'm in CA] and i really want to cheer him up but all hes been all like 'i dont want to talk right now', 'i'm not in the mood for this'. Is there anything i can do to help him or make him feel better?? I have a feeling [or im hoping] that his girlfriend would realize her mistake and go back to him, but until that happens.. i want to try to cheer him up. I dont like seeing him so sad :( (link)

Sounds like the best thing to do is just leave him alone about it. He doesn't want to talk about her when he talks to you. He wants you to cheer him up by talking about something else. If they are meant to be they will get back together on thier own. :)

I'm really into acting, and I just got an audition for TV and I told her that. Since then, she's been extra nice and invited me to go shopping and stuff. Also she REALLY wants to be a model and she's not doing anything about it and I'm telling her how hard it is to get into and that she needs to get involved, and i tell her how, but all she says is "but i REALLY want to!" If she treats you a whole bunch different than she did BEFORE you got the audition or if her attitude
changes should you not get the part...she was using you.
As for her modeling career...well that's hers to have or not to have. Nothing you do or say will make a difference. If she wants it, she has to do the work.
No need for you to even describe it. If she ever gets around to pursing it...she will find out on her own it takes work.

[16,f] So, in about 10 days I'm going to the gyno. I've never been and I really don't want to go. I know that part of the procedure is sticking metal instruments inside "there." Now, I'm not a virgin. I've only had sex a couple of times. My friend says that to judge what size instrument you need they ask if you're a virgin or not, and if not, they use larger instruments. I really don't want it to be any larger than it has to be. AT ALL. So my question is this, should I lie, and say I am? Or tell the truth? Or maybe just say I prefer a smaller one? I worked in a doctors office and let me assure you that your friend has it ALL wrong. The instrument the doctor uses is called a speculum. It is used to dilate the vagina so the doctor can examine your vagina and cervix, and do a pap smear.
It looks like a duck beak and they will use the smallest one. Don't worry about that. They come in all sizes and the doctor will know which one to use. They are used for many things including operations for female problems. Bigger ones may be needed to see better in those cases. That is the reason for various sizes.
They will ask if you are sexually active. They DO NOT ask so they can chew you out or choose a bigger speculum. :) They ask simply because if you are, they will give you info on birth control and STDs and make sure you know how to have safe sex. They will also answer any questions you may have. That is the ONLY reason. So, no need to lie about it. They will not tell your mom. Anything you discuss is between you and the doctor and nurses.
If you don't want mom in the room simply tell her that. Tell her being examined is embarrassing enough without her being in the room. That is something she will understand. It is a bit embarrassing but it doesn't hurt. Always was for me anyway. :)
If she insists on being in before or after, simply talk to the doctor about anything you want kept private during the exam or before she comes back in.

You may find some things you want to discuss with the doctor or his nurse. If you want to ask something of them but are afraid you will get nervous and forget, write your questions down and give them to the doctor or nurse.
