Hi my name is Angel, that's my real name. I'm a young adult now, I've had this advice column for years, but I made another one under the name anq3l_xo when I thought I couldn't access this one. A little bit about myself. I am a student, both in college and high school. I work as a nanny part time. I want to be a lawyer when I "grow up." I believe I've done a lot of growing up in my short life. I have conquered an obsession over drugs and alcohol in the last year and a half. I'm sober now and I wouldn't trade that for the world. I'm happy now. I'm in an absolutely blessed relationship with someone that I truly care about and love with all of my heart. I have been through things that you kids have nightmares about. I have seen, heard, and witnessed a lot of things that would make full grown men cry. I believe that I am innocent now, because I don't live that old lifestyle anymore. I have a lot of experience in a lot of things, and I've always been good at shedding light on dark situations. I come from a broken family, so I have step, half whatever siblings, and I just recently reunited with my real mother after she abandoned me 10 years ago. I have amazing friends today, but it wasn't always like that. I have a wonderful boyfriend and a great relationship with him, but let me tell you, it wasn't always like that. My sister is a drug addict/ alcoholic of the worst type. She's my best friend in the entire world, and I hope this 14 year old girl doesn't have to go through what I went through. I've come to understand that I can't help her, but I can help others through advice and by being of service to people around me. ok well.. my boifriend is like totally in love with me and we just had sex. it was realllly good... but anyway.. he was like omg... i love you so much!! but he never said it before we had sex.... so wut im gettin at is that do you think hes jsut using me for sex? im 15 female.. duh

hmm.. he could just be using you, but if you have feelings for him, then he definitely deserves another chance, maybe he was just caught up in the moment, but either way you should talk to him about it. If he is in love with you, then hes probably not using you. Hope i helped and have fun -Angel

I've been talking to this guy for like 6 months, He never asked me out or nothing but we go to the movies and i go chill at his house to. A couple weeks ago he said he wanted to start seeing me more, does that mean he wants to date me or what? I know he said he wanted to take things slow but this is beyond slow 4 me. He never gives me any clues that he really likes me like i do him. He will invite me over and kiss me goodnite when i leave but that's it. {no kissing other than when i leave..lol thought that bared repeating} What should i say to him? Thanx 2 all who answer. If you guys are close enough to talk to eachother and go to his house, and have a steady emotional relationship without taking things to a physical level, then that's really great and I just wanted to congratulate you on that. But if you like this guy and you feel like you can tell him how you feel, then just go with that, or you could just bring up "seeing him more" and ask him if he would like to start dating, whatever you feel most comfortable with. Ok, in school I'm in the "popular group" and my friends are really nice and everything but sometimes they really annoy me. Here's why. Whenever a guy asks them out they'll like automaticlly say yes (even if they don't like them), and when a guy dumps them or they dump a guy they'll be going out with someone else within an hour. Anyway, for some reason this really bugs me. I don't really no why either. Now a guy asked me out and I said no because I don't like him and now they keep calling me too picky. What do I do?

you need to stick up for yourself, your friends can do whatever they want as far as choosing boyfriends goes, but if you want someone that is good for you, then they should be cool with it if they're your friends. But you have to have reasons why you dont like the guy too, because they'll probably ask, dont worry about it too much, there's worse things you could be called than "picky" hope i helped, keep ya head up -Angel

my best friend always goes over to a girl named sarahs house.She goes over because sarah has an older brother and i guess julie (my best friend) thinks its really cool that she gets to do "stuff" with older guys after many times of this, the guys ALWAYS deny it when asked and NONE of then ever talk to her. Also my friend falls in love spontainiously (sp?) like one hour shes in love with one guy shes never met, and the next shes in love with another guy shes never met its really dumb and eventually i know she will get hurt but if i tell her that they are just using her then shes going to say no and be mad at me... please tell me somthing i can tell her

tell her not to get too attached because she doesnt even know these guys that shes falling in "love" with, but your friend is probably just looking for a good time anyways, but if she is serious, you need to tell her that you're her best friend and she should trust you on this, it's hard to do and she may get mad at you for it, but at least in the end of it all, she wont be hurt from these guys, good luck keep me posted -Angel

okay My Kitchen is all white. My cabinets are that weird plastiky white kind with red handles, the appliances are white and everything. The whole thing looks horrible. The floor is old and disgusting linolium, and since we moved our door to the other side of the room theres sheet rock showing below some of the cabinets.We aren't getting the whole thing done until summer possibly. Does anybody have any suggestions on how to make it look not so white? Is there any kind of decorations i can use to liven this mess up? is there any some typical things out there that make the kitchen look any better? becasue really, nothing matches, and looks good.It's just so horrible looking sometimes. I really can't bear it.

put up pictures, put magnets on the fridge, little things really make a big difference, a border for the top of the wall, a carpet/rug type thing for the floor, if theres a window, get some curtains, any of these things can make a really big difference, also theres that stick on tile stuff that looks pretty real and good, er.. hope i helped :-D -a.ro

advice here from college students would be greatly appreciated!!! i'm 19 and just started at Boston University this September, but i live in Chicago. at first it was the normal homesickness, missing friends and family, and having it be hard to be 1800 miles away from home. things started getting better, but for some reason, i can't see to make myself happy here. i have a few friends here, but no guys friends (that's partly due to the fact that i live on an all girls floor, and also partly my fault, so i won't complain about that) i'm really close with a couple of the girls on my floor, and one or two other people, but that's pretty much it. i feel lonely here, and as hard as i try, i can't stop thinking about home and missing it. part of that has to do with the fact that i have a bf who's in college but still lives in chicago, so i only get to see him when i come home. i know im supposed to have fun and be experiencing college, but i feel like i'm missing out on so much, but i don't know how to fix it! i don't know how to make myself accept the fact that i'm in college, and NOT at home, and be HAPPY with that. i want to be happy here, and i want to have a good time. please help me. any advice will be greatly appreciated. thanks

get more involved with the college or something, or with the social part at least, find out about the parties if it kills you, hang out at all the places people go, if you want to meet people and be somewhat happier, its all on you. . . keep ya head up -hope i helped :: a.ro

im a 15/f .. over thanksgiving i did some stuff with my boyfriend. i told one of my really good friends and she is really mad at me now. its not like i had sex with him or anything, and i was ready for what i did. i dont want to have sex w. him either because i want to save that for marriage. and ive told her that many times. but she is still pissed at my actions and doesnt trust me. what can i do to make her see that im not ganna go further then what i feel im ready for, and so that she is not mad at me anymore?

your friend will understand whatever you have to say because one day she will encounter the same thing, so when you talk to her, let her know that you have strong feelings for your boyfriend and you never make bad decisions and at least you didnt have sex with him, let her know that she should be happy that you trusted her enough to tell her, and ask for some trust back in return, she may or may not accept your apology, but if shes a good friend that understands, she should get over it. . . sorry if this doesnt help, but good luck ! k3ep ya h3ad uhp :-D -a.ro

Ok...well there is this boy that I love a lot. We aren't dating at the moment but we were before. The only reason we broke up is because we didn't talk a lot and that was about a year ago...now we talk every day on the phone way more than once and we talk in school. He always goes Mahryah...I love you...but I don't know if I believe him and I tell him that. He says well then why else would I say I loved you if I really didn't. I always want to say well if you really like me then why don't you want to go out with me, I think that if he wanted to he would have asked by now. He always talks about us doing stuff together but he has never really like 'forced' me into it. I would be willing...only if we were going out though. I don't know what to say next time I talk to him and he says that. I mean I say it back but I mean it and he says he does but I'm not sure. Everything about my life sucks. I juss moved from this one place where every one hates me. Now I come here thinkin things would be better and things juss get worse. Ppl laugh at me because Im honestly really ugly I have ugly hair, ugly face, but I try to be nice. im really sorry, but not because of your situation, but because of the way your choosing to handle it. people aren't that mean unless you let them be, so when you hear someone talking smack, confront them about it, dont get mad, but be nice, like you usually are. dont try to make friends with any certain clique or crowd, just stick to your friends, or people you're comfortable with. thinqs will definitely brighten up, just keep your head up. Hi My name is Nicole, Well most of my friends do drugs and well i dont because i have head on my sholders.Anyways so i told my bestfriends boyfriend that she was still smoking and later on she came up to me and yelld at me. And well her and her bf broke up because she lied to him and i guess there was more to the story so yea.....anyways so now she got allof myfriends agenst me for some stupid reason and i dont even know what i did to the rest of them....Do you guys think i made the rigth choice by going to her boyfriend and not teacher because she would be grounded for the rest of her life if her parents found out..... so what can i do to get my friends back..

i personally think that you should beg for your friends forgiveness, because you really shouldve talked to HER first and foremost, if she wasnt going to listen to you, then you should tell someone like a school counselor, dont do anything to get her in trouble, but since you've already made that mistake, the most important thing is to talk to your friend and try to straighten things out, let her know that your only looking out for her, but remember, she wont stop just because you tell her to, just maybe talk her into cutting it down a little, if she absolutely refuses everything you suggest, then go to a higher authority, like a school counselor, hope i helped: good luck! -Angel

Does anyone know of any good blush that stays on all day without having to reapply it all the time? Or does anyone know how to get regular blush to stay on all day? Like putting lotion on ur face first or something?

to get a powder blush to stay on all day, you need to put on a powder foundation, powder usually sticks better with a moisturizer, like lotion, but it really depends on your face, if you have dry skin, then just put on a little bit of powder blush, if you have oily/moisturized skin, put on a powder foundation or something to dry out your face a little before you put on the blush, hm.. hope i helped IM me if you need more help Sillyangel869 good luck! -Angel

Well I've got a boyfriend and he keeps telling me he that he takes drugs like he injects himself with heroin and sniffs canaBIS and stuff and steals cars also he says he's got a daughter and I don't know if he's telling the truth anyway he flirts with my friends which gets on my nerves and I've told my parents and they told me to keep away from him and to have nothing to do with him but I really love him and if I dump him he might start being nasty to me and I don't want that to happen what can I do please help me if you can !!

this is a tough one...
You need to talk to your boyfriend and tell him whats bothering you, if youre afraid of him being nasty to you, then you really do need to stay away from him, if youre not sure if hes even being honest with you, then theres another problem, so just talk to him, maybe breaking up isnt the answer, but if it is, then just do your best to stay away from him, you can do better..

since like the past week i have been noticing that well like every day when i wake up i go to the bathroom then to the mirror & when i look in the mirror i notice that i have really small pimples like on the outside of my nose on my face & i have these flaky white things & i have no clue what this is i can scrub them off but why do they come every morning? please answer i'll give 5's if this helps im 13/m

about the pimples.. wash your face every day 2/3 times with an acne wash and then as far as the flaky white things go, use an exfoliation scrub, as far as I know, Neutrogena makes really good facial washes for these types of things, hope i helped -Angel

if this girl is your best friend, then you should be able to talk to her about this, she may or may not change things, even if she says that she will try, if shes not going to try to fix things with you, then that will just be worse for her when her and her boyfriend break up, but dont tell her that, just tell her that you miss being best friends and you wish that you guys could spend more time together, also see if maybe you can try to get included on some of their outings [double dating?] if your best friends not willing to cooperate with you, then you can probably find a better best friend, hope i helped and good luck! -Anq3L

talk to your friends, apologize whether you mean it or not. . it was a misunderstanding and you were only trying to help, they cant really be mad at you about that, seriously. in the past my boyfriend and i got into many arguments about times when he was high or drung..but he claims he doesnt do it anymore and PROMISES he wont do it again (he knows i'll break up with him if i find him high or drunk again) BUT on friday i think he was high cuz his eyes were a 'tint' redish BUT he wasnt actin it or nothin and he didnt smell like it so my question is what are the signs that someone is high? so next time I KNOW when he is high and if he wasnt i dont accuse him of something he didnt do? so how would they act? eyes look? All that? and how long does someones eyes turn red for? can u get high without ur eyes gettin red? HELP PLEASE!

if your boyfriend was high... his eyes may or not be red .. but you may notice that his pupils are smaller and his eyelids are heavier.. depending on how high he is... people don't always act high when they're high because... it looks dumb.. there are times when you just wont be able to tell if your boyfriend is high.. and he just needs to be honest with you... if he cant just tell you if hes been smoking or not.. then you have more important things to worry about then just his drug/alcohol use.. he needs to be honest with you .. hope i helped

you should talk to him about it.. you dont need to forgive him.. that was totally mean what he said about you... but on the other hand you probably shouldnt have done all that stuff to him.. he may have deserved it, but come on... I think you should just talk to this guy and if he doesnt forgive you over it.. its his loss and you will have to accept that.. but he should forgive you because that would be the mature thing to do in this situation.. forgive and forget.. hope i helped and good luck
