in the past my boyfriend and i got into many arguments about times when he was high or drung..but he claims he doesnt do it anymore and PROMISES he wont do it again (he knows i'll break up with him if i find him high or drunk again) BUT on friday i think he was high cuz his eyes were a 'tint' redish BUT he wasnt actin it or nothin and he didnt smell like it so my question is what are the signs that someone is high? so next time I KNOW when he is high and if he wasnt i dont accuse him of something he didnt do? so how would they act? eyes look? All that? and how long does someones eyes turn red for? can u get high without ur eyes gettin red? HELP PLEASE!
soljette answered Tuesday October 26 2004, 4:14 pm: some peoples eyes dont get red at all when theyre high. it all depends on the person. when a person is high, they can act funny, or they can just be normal. if your guy smokes a lot, or often, then the weaker the weed affects him. i know people who smoke more than 4 times a day, and their eyes never turned red. although, it does lower the eye lids. Someone that is also high can play it off really well.. my sister use to get high all the time and you couldnt tell. But the few time i saw my sister high she did stumble over her words a bit. Her eyes wernt exactly red but they were very like wide open. Best wishes to you hun.

ICE11BLUE answered Tuesday October 26 2004, 10:12 am: Behavior change would play a big part because when you're high you get real stupid and you can say things that don't make sense, your response levels slow down and everthing is funny, he may not take anything seriously. Also, if he has a hard time looking you in the eyes, that could give it away. Don't rely on red eye alone. Yeah, and if he doesn't smell like it, then he may not be, because as you may know, weed has a very distinct, strong, sweet smell that gets into your clothes and hair. As for being drunk, I'm sure you know what that is supposed to look like. [ ICE11BLUE's advice column | Ask ICE11BLUE A Question ]
DrAnqel answered Tuesday October 26 2004, 10:00 am: if your boyfriend was high... his eyes may or not be red .. but you may notice that his pupils are smaller and his eyelids are heavier.. depending on how high he is... people don't always act high when they're high because... it looks dumb.. there are times when you just wont be able to tell if your boyfriend is high.. and he just needs to be honest with you... if he cant just tell you if hes been smoking or not.. then you have more important things to worry about then just his drug/alcohol use.. he needs to be honest with you .. hope i helped

dinoold answered Tuesday October 26 2004, 8:01 am: this is tough..most people who do drugs..well they rarely stop for someone they love for the love the drugs the most.
red eyes are a sign of lots of things..no sleep, a cold, and if he wears contacts that too.
But you know..I mean really know your b/f. If he quit..which he may have..he will be acting differetnly. Not as loose..maybe a little more uptight as they are weaned out of his system.
Trust is at issue here..if you trust him..do..if not...then look for more signs.
I know this is hard....lost and lots of people in your postion...at least you are willing to let him go if you must.
