Often times life is a challenge, and nobody knows that better than me. I wake up wondering if this is going to be a day my illness overpowers my meds, and either sends me flying like a bat out of hell, or leaves me laying on the couch like a wet dish rag.

ok i'm 13 years old and ive always wanted to be an actress.i heard about those good will hunting guys and they wrote the script and they made alot of money. im going to try to write a movie,and i already have an idea of what its going to be about. its going to be about a girl and her mother dies and her father starts dating again shortly after, and the girl and the woman the dad is dating have to learn to get along and like each other. im going to write it but im afraid that my friends and family wont like it.

Listen, back in the day I wrote poems and short stories for my English class. I worried that no one would like them if they read them. Well, I could have never been more wrong about it.

My teacher loved them, all of my school mates loved them (I had 1st hour English, and my teacher read them to all of his classes), my friends loved them, my parents loved them, and they showed them to their friends at work, and THEIR friends loved them.

So don't think people aren't going to like what you write. Like me, you can never be more wrong about that. :)

I'm a 23 year old woman. I'm graduating from college by Christmas.

In the future, I really would like to get married, and most people marry someone they met in high school or college. There's no one at my college that I've met that I can see a future with. How hard is it to find your soulmate when you're out of school?

I met my husband through my brother. They became friends about 7 years ago. We dated off and on for over 3 years until we decided that we wanted to spend a lifetime together, this last year.
I didn't think it was hard at all to find him.

I think a good way to find a good man is through friends or loved ones. It also helps in the department of 'Is he a good guy or not?' because friends and loved ones will tell you if he is a bad seed.

Also, a lot of folks meet at places like night clubs, coffee shops, book stores, and at work, as Michele said, among many other places.
Were there are people hanging out, there are bound to be singles.

how expensive is it to get a paint job for your car?

Well, it depends on where you have it done and how much they charge for labor. Also, it depends on the color, considering certain colors are $100+ per gallon.

I would say as a ball park guess at least $2000. But your best bet would be to ask around at your local auto body shops for a more accurate estimate.

I got this movies in my computer I wanna transfer to DVD. They are not 4Gb movies nor 8gb, just 600 to 900maybe some times more or less.
Wich software do I use?

I have Windows XP, and this is what I do:
Under start menu, all programs, there should be "Sonic". Under that, My DVD.
Select to make a DVD, and add the movie you care to put to disc. It will only allow you to put one movie on, as a rule, and you have to usually bump the quality down to VCR or worse in order to get it to fit on a disc.
I removed that program and bought Ashampoo 7. I got it on a deal for about $20 through the internet. It allows me to put more movies to one disk at a better quality.

I'm getting my first car soon, and my mom said I have only $2,000 to pay for it. So..I did some research and found a car. Here's the info about it:

-1992 Toyota Corolla
-131,000 miles
-$800
-Air Conditioning
-AM/FM Radio
-Cassette Player
-Automatic Transmission
-Manual locks & windows (not power)

The seller also got a new starter and a new battery for the car. Should I buy it or keep looking?

It doesn't sound all that bad for a first car, to me.
Other than the mileage and maybe the transmission type, the other stuff is basically irrelevant when you are looking for a good used car.

What you should do is this-
Check the oil. It should be a golden brown color- not black or murky, no metal flecks, chunks, or water present.
Check the transmission fluid. It should be transparent red, with no metal flecks or chunks floating about.
Check the radiator. The water should be lime green in color, also with no chunks or debris, the water shouldn't be murky, and should be full to the top.

If you don't know where these things are to check, there are 2 dipsticks you want to pull out and examine. One says Engine Oil, the other says Transmission. The radiator is at the front, and you just turn the cap to peek inside.
If you are still unsure, ask the person selling the car. They will show you what to pull and what to open.
NEVER feel too embarrassed to ask them if you don't know what to look at! You are protecting your best interests, and you are protecting yourself from investing in a car that has a radiator full of stop leak, oil containing water, and a broken down transmission.

I am 100% addicted to soda, my doctor has even confirmed my caffine addiction. However, I really need to stop drinking it for volleyball and just my own personal health. I'm in very great shape, but I feel the soda slows me down in conditioning. So, I would like to cut the drink out of my life.

I've tried so many methods, but I always give in and drink even more then I started with. I drink about three a day right now. Any ideas how to quit?

Yah, soda does slow you down.
Keep in mind- soda has carbonation. Carbonation= carbon dioxide. Carbon dioxide= poison to your body.
Also, have you read the ingredients in a can of soda?
Mountain Dew contains vegetable oil!
They all contain corn syrup.
Did you know that Coke can be used in your laundry to keep your whites bright, as well as dumping a can a week down your kitchen sink helps keep your drains clear?

And to think we put such things into our bodies!

I had to quit caffeine when I got pregnant. (coffee drinker) The best way I found to do it was to just quit all together. Yah, there will be some withdraws- irritability and possible headaches, but they aren't that bad and the withdraws don't last long. Maybe a week or so.

Weening off doesn't work, I don't care what anyone says.
A caffeine addiction is an addiction. The best way to end an addiction is to cut it out completely.
One wouldn't ween off of cigarettes to quit, or alcohol, or drugs. Right?
Cutting back is still feeding the addiction in smaller doses, meaning, you are still addicted.

My BF and I were having anal and we had no idea what we where doing, so for some reason his penis went down towards my vagina and then the condom broke. We don't think there was any seman on it or anything because he did not cum. so i took a test and it said i wasn't and then i got my period today, but its really light and spotting. Well, the best way to get an accurate result on the test is to wait until you are 2 weeks overdue for your period.
Since you are a teen, your menstrual cycle is doubtfully regulated, so you need to allot for that, as well as you need to allow time for the pregnancy hormone to be strong enough in your urine to give an accurate result if you do happen to be pregnant.
There is a far greater chance of getting a false negative than a false positive.

Always remember that just because a man doesn't ejaculate, doesn't mean you won't get pregnant. Guys leak pre-cum during sex, which contains sperm, and you can get pregnant from that. I did.

I would be willing to bet that stress is causing your spotty period. Since you do have a bit of a period, I would say your chances are that you aren't pregnant, but if you want to take a test to be on the safe side, wait a couple of weeks to ensure you get an accurate result.

okay so i recently gave advice to a guy.. and he gave me a 3! now my question is..

giving advice to someone usually means your giving them YOUR opinion on the matter that their having troubles with..correct? so when someone actually gives advice and by giving i mean actually tried, or applied themselves as best they could should deserve a fair rating.. for someone who just says "that sucks" well okay they dont deserve the best of a rating if even one because thats just there opinion that gives you nothing to concider or anything.

A 3 is a good, and fair rating. It means you have answered their question with a satisfactory answer.

People have a bad habit for handing out 5's for one liner answers, such as "Yah I would do it!" A 5 should only be given when someone answers the question with a lot of thought, effort, and detail.

The sun naturally lightens your hair, and doesn't cause the damage like dye, or even something acidic such as lemons.
Try to spend a lot of time in the sun this summer, even if it is just sitting in your back yard listening to the radio or reading a book.
Just be sure to use sun screen! The sun's rays damage and age your skin!

I'm sick of people preaching about sex on here.

No, no, no. It doesn't mean that you have unprotected sex once, and then 'boom', you're automatically pregnant.
However, EVERY TIME you have unprotected sex, you are at a high risk of becoming pregnant, as well as getting an STD.
I wouldn't categorize it as a "small chance", but "high risk".

I know I preach about sex and pregnancy because I know exactly what pregnancy and babies are like, and most teens aren't prepared for such a huge responsibility. (I know I wouldn't have been at that age.) They think they are, but they have no clue.

There are teen girls out there who have babies, the baby's dad doesn't help support them, and their parents end up taking on most of the cost and duty because of their lack of responsibility and want for going out and living their lives. (Not all teens are that way, but there are quite a few out there that are.)

How fair is that for a child who never asked to be here?
How fair is that for the grandparents to feel they should have to support and raise their grandchild, who they should enjoy, and make cookies for on weekends?

It's not. At all.

That's why a smart teen takes measures to avoid pregnancy. They aren't just looking out for themselves.
That's why people like me preach about it. :)

I hear good things about it, but if I were you, I would ask my doctor before taking it, or any other diet pill, because of your age. You may not need to set an appointment- you may be able to just call their nurse and ask.

My bosses are jerks to all of their employees. This woman and her husband own the resturaunt and they don't treat us right. The woman has made all of the waitresses cry at one point or another because she gets in our faces and yells at us and accuses us of doing stuff wrong or not doing our job at all. We have confronted her about it and she just doesn't care. (she has even said so)
The man is also a jerk to us. He's always making fun of us if we forget something or make a simple mistake or if we have a question.
It really bothers all of us.
Now they are telling us that they don't want any employees under the age of 21 to work for them due to the alcohol serving issue with us being underage.
If they were to fire us just due to our age, is there anything we can do about it? Like is that some form of discrimination since they knew our ages and the laws when they hired us.

I seriously, highly doubt it.
If you live in the US, someone under the age of 21 cannot serve alcohol. It makes it a hassle to have a 16 year old waitress for a table, and yet another 21+ waitress to serve the same people drinks.
So, if they want to make it so employee age limit is 21, they have every right to do so.
So, realistically, it isn't age discrimination since they are taking the most feasible route to abide by the liquor laws.

As for them being jerks, well at least you can say for yourself that you are prepared for the jerks you will work for in the future. Yah, a lot of bosses out there are jerks. Not all, but a lot.

This chick really likes my boyfriend. She texts him all the time.. which interrupts our time together sometimes. The thing is, he pays for all the texts. Incoming and whatnot. So she's flooding his phone. Blah blah. She gets mad whenever he says he busy or that he's with me ["his girl"]

She keeps sending messages about sex, getting drunk, and bjs. She just won't stop. She knows he's taken and that he's busy.

Advice? He's getting really annoyed and she's not taking a hint.

Your boyfriend can block the other girl's phone number, if not through functions on his phone, then through is phone provider. He should do that- she sounds like a serious weirdo.

As for the other guy, I would certainly tell him that if he wants to continue being your friend, he will have to respect your boundaries, because you already have a boyfriend you are perfectly happy with. If he doesn't want to behave himself, then he obviously doesn't respect you (yah. NOT a true friend) and you need to end the friendship.

The other day there was a Black Panther rally in Dallas, not one affiliated with the New Black Panther Party, is that legal?

They were yelling racial slurs at my brother, he and his co-workers were setting up pavilions for them and they were all caucasian.

It's not against the law to be racist and shout racial slurs, because they are practicing their right to have freedom of speech.
I'm not racist, but if someone else chooses to be, they are entitled to their opinion, and they are entitled to state their opinion. Even if their opinion is a small-minded one.

hi , my brother is two years older than me and beats the shit out of me. Hes on the football team and does weights and takes steroids. My parents dont care/dont understand. They are also out for most of the day so its just me and him at home. Mostly im locked in my room. If i go outside i can expect to be beaten up or called a loser. He has done this to me all me life and does it infront of other people. He did it once infront of his friends grandparents which shows how little he cares about what other adults think about him. Anything i do is istantly a loser sport or activity. Like skateboarding he used to beat me up because of that. For all of those people who say do some press ups or sit-ups, i cant really compete with a guy whos two years older and on steroids. parents couldnt care and think hes "playing" with me. so far hes broken my nose, given me a black eye and stolen over $300 off me. I just dont think its fair i should put up with this shit. Any ideas suggestions? My parents say im making him do this to me. He comes into my room for no reason, beats the shit into me, leaves. Not like I done anything to him. If im reading the newspaper he either takes it for himself, or rips it up. If Im watching TV, he changes the channel and tells me to piss off. Thats if i manage to get downstairs. suicide, running away , murder etc arent really options.

If your brother is abusing steroids, that probably has a lot to do with his aggressive behavior towards you.

Are your parents aware of his steroid abuse? If they seem unwilling to listen, you need to find a way to MAKE them listen. His health is at risk, and they need to open their eyes to that fact.
