my firends, family, just people that i am around always ask me if i cut myself since i have cuts down my arm. i need to give them a good reason for why i have these cuts. theyre actaully old scars from a while ago but they relly refuse to believe that. can u plez give me...escuses(i dno wut else to call them) of why i might have these marks?

Why do you need excuses? Just tell them the truth - that they are old scars from -------. If they don't believe you, that's their problem. But if you are not telling the truth, then YOU have the probelm.

Go get a manicure and maybe even get a set of nails put on. You are not going to chomp on your nails if they look nice.

Does it bother anyone else when the members of this site give smartass answers, like "Well that sucks", "Your dumb", "I have no idea". This website keeps getting more and more of these users and personally it bugs me. Anyone else agree?

i get these really bad tension headaches almost every day. they just come on at any time of the day and they're mostly always in my temples or the back of my head. my jaw gets really stiff and clenched up. sometimes they get so bad i have to vomit (which always makes the headache almost immediately go away). are there any sort of special muscle relaxant medications i should take? any relaxation excercises i could do? please help. these headaches interfere with my everyday life. i can hardly function when i have them.

Having extream headaches everyday is most likely a symptom of some other underlying problem. I would recommened you talk to your doctor about the problem instead of trying to treat it yourself. You need to know the cause of the headaches before tying to treat them.

I think things have changed over the last few years about the way people view smokers and smoking in general. With this change, smokers have to change. Being a "courteous" smoker means to not smoke in the same room with someone who doesn't smoke or finds it offensive. I think that he would care a little more about someone's health besides his own and at LEAST smoke outside. I guess that's my opinion. Thanks for your input.

I was just saying why should he suddenly change his way of life because YOU have had a change of heart. Smokers don't HAVE to do anything. You can choose if you want to live with a smoker, but you can't make a smoker suddenly stop smoking in his own home. And by the way, I am not promoting smoking, I personaly hate it as well.

My husband has smoked for years...35 to be exact. We have been married for 30 years. He is slim, but not very healthy, I think. He almost quit just recently and I was so proud of him and told everyone that I was. He was down to about one cigarette a day. I feel like garbage when he smokes because he does it in the house, car, whatever. It makes me feel like a smoker myself. I feel that if I wanted to smoke, I would have kept it up in college, so you see, I know what it is like to be a smoker, but not what it's like to be a non-smoker, even though I don't smoke. I am sorry this sounds bitter. I am mad. Tell me what to do. I am ready to move out. We have a great marriage, but I don't want to feel crappy anymore because of someone else's vice. He refuses to go outside to smoke.

Be supportive of his goal to quit, but don't get mad when he does smoke. You knew he was a smoker when you married him. You can't change who he is, especially after 35 years. You either except the man you married or leave. But don't blame him.

This girl is no friend. I certainly wouldn't let a friend of mine boss me around. What makes her better than you? She treats you bad because she knows she can.

my brother is 17 and he just came out. i mean he told us he was gay. im shocked and i dont know what to do because me and him are close but i feel okward now. im having a hard time accepting this. what do i do?

When my sister came out we were all a little suprized, and I had a hard time adusting at first too. Then I finally asked myself how does my sister being gay affect my life? And I realized it didn't. She is still the same great person.

So ask yourself why you are having a hard time accepting your gay brother. Is there really a problem? Being gay is not a bad thing, we are just brought up to believe it is. Just give yourself some time and you will see that this will not affect you relationship with your brother at all.

We want to be more than friends but what should I expect from a relationship? Will things be weird at first?

Your only 13, you can't expect a relationship from a 13 year old boy. Girls want love and romance, boys just want to a chance to feel up a girl. They are not looking for a serious relationship, nor know what one is. For now I would just stay friends, and wait until these boys are man enough to have a relationship.

I know, my little brother and all his friends are 13, and they are in no way ready for a relationship. They are just kids that play video games!

Hello all!
I started a relationship with a man that I'm mentally fascinated with. He is well educated and very articulate, which is what attracted me to him. We were together for about a month when I busted him cheating. Now, two months later, I have told him I forgive him and still want a relationship with him but he is lukewarm. He "says" that he doesn't know what to do/say to make things better between us, but I've told him countless times that I'm not worried about him cheating on me again. His response, "Nothing is certain but death and taxes." My brain tells me that if he could say that to me, he doesn't care about making things right. My heart tells me that he's a good man and he won't do it again. Am I dilusional??? The Bible teaches us to forgive 70 times 70, but that doesn't mean I have to be with him still right? I'm in love with this man but I don't know if I can ever trust him again. Please help!

Sure you can forgive him, but that doesn't mean you should stay with him. Why try to make a relationship work with a man that isn't worried about making a relationship work? He even said that he can't guarntee he will not cheat again. Sorry but he doesn't sound like too good of guy to me. It's time to move on and find a guy that WANTS to be with you.

Sorry, can't help you there. I didn't have my first real boyfriend until I was 20. But I am now happily married. It just shows you don't need to be in such a rush. Don't seek out guys just to have a boyfriend. Just be yourself, and when the good guy comes along, you'll find him.

this is a two part question.
1. i have been thinking of converting to buddism, but i dont really know enough about the religon. i was wonering if anyone can give me information on it or tell me where to get some information on buddism.

2. my mom is a really strict christian. im sure how to tell her that i want to convert.

any advice on either of these questions would be really helpful. i'll rate 5's for good answers.

I am curious. Why convert to a religion you know nothing about? I would think many buddist would actually be offended if you just up a decied to become buddist without knowing the religion or even thinking about what it means to you. I think it would be disrespectful to ANY religion. Before telling your mother you want to convert, spend a year teaching yourself the buddist religon, and other religions as well. Then you will have an informed, educated, and respectful view of religon you can share with your mother along with the reasons why you want to convert.

**Edit: You gave me a 1 for speaking the truth? I don't think you will make a very good buddist.

My Friend has a problem but shes to embaressed to aske it on here.. she gets dirreah ALOT like 3 times a day. and she doesnt know whats rong with her and sometimes she hardly eats and still its shootin out of her like theres no tomorrow... i dont know how to help her i have even googled it... but if you could help that would be great thanks

She hardly eats? Maybe that's her problem. Diarrhea can be a symptom of a poor diet or dehydration. Because it is an ongoing thing, it is defiantly something she should go to the doctor for.

Tell her that you are worried about her, and you want her to get some help. Also let her know that if she doesn't seek help, you will tell an adult yourself. Give her a week, if you don't see an improvement, talk to your parents about the problem and have them go with you to talk to her parents.

Seriously, I can't think of one singer that was born famous. Who are you talking about?

They all got there by years of hard work, but mostly by a lot of luck. Singers that are "new" this year and win best new artist awards are really not new. Most of them have been at it for years, and then finally get discovered. The chances of you becoming famous are slim to none. Many of the most famous singers can't even sing, it's all marketing.

There is nothing you can do. It's their problem, let them figure it out themselves. Don't get in the middle of other peoples bussiness.
