Yeah I wouldn't be able to confront em' either..so what I would do is try to do something else to get your mind on that and everything outta focus.. including noises. But what I might suggest doing is just start listening to music or turn up the volume on the TV a little higher.. something to blast out the noise. Hope I helped!!

MELii

It bothers you because you can't bare the thought of you're own mother and father doing it. And because of taboo theyre "too old". The only thing you can do is confront them if it bothers you so much. If you can't bring yourself to tell them then try and find something to do that makes you focused or something that you can't hear them over. Otherwise you'll just have to tell them that they're bothering you.
Hope i helped

tasuki answered Thursday July 7 2005, 7:42 pm:
It's not wrong for them to have sex. They're human, they have needs, and they're a married couple for crying outloud. But it's understandable that it bothers you. Nobody, not even the most sick minded person you can think of, wants to think about, see, or hear their parents having sex. Maybe you could get some headphones and listen to music at night, or if you have a spare room far away from your parents you could ask if you can move your stuff in there. Or...*giggles evily*...I don't really condone this, but you could blast your TV and stereo at the same time and when they come in and say, "Stop being so loud!" you can say, "I will if you will." I know a guy who's parents have sex ON HIS BED. I once walked in on my parents playing video games in the nude, and for some reason my father loves to joke about it. I know it totally sucks, but it's just another thing you have to deal with. Just remember your pain for when you have kids and be nice by only having sex when they're at their friend's house or having a room far away from theirs. But for now, you just have to accept that your parents have sex, and put those headphones on. Other than that there is not much you can do, and I really don't reccommend confronting them about it...that's...freaky.

Just tell your parents that you feel uncomfortable or like turn your music up and try to forget it. Get out of the house; go on a walk or something.

They're your parents, how do you think you were made? Just try to accept it, you might understand when you're older. Yeah, it does sound gross but I guess its just the way of life.

You might want say this to your parents:
I need a really good pair of ear plugs. and if they ask why, tell them there are some noises you hear at night that are really freaking you out.
Might break the ice to talk about the real subject.
Hope this helps.

IndieKidsCanRock answered Wednesday July 6 2005, 4:43 pm:
♥Believe it or not, that's normal. Just because they're your parents, they still can have an intimate relationship. When you hear that, it's akward, yes. But when you think about it, aren't you glad that they are having sex and happy instead of fighting with each other? This means that they are in a happy and healthy relationship. Saying something about it will only make things more akward, VERY akward. Especially for your parents, wouldn't you be embaressed? Next time you hear them, go in the other room or go for a jog.

i think talking to them would make things awkward when things dont need to be that way.. i agree with everyone else that doing something else to get your mind off will help...even blast music (using headphones of course) before you hear anything thi way if they do it, you wont even know!
