ohkay, everyone is telling me that the world is going to end in 4 days (6-6-06) (the devil's number.) I AM REALLY SCARED OVER THIS. I CAN BARLEY SLEEP. im like pettrified. is what they're telling me true or is a myth? and do you believe it? and should i be scared?

The world isn't going to end on 6/6/06. Besides, actually the date is 06-06-06, the zeros are in the way, so it isn't really 666. It's just a myth people keep saying because it's the devil's number.

It doesn't matter what "everyone" is saying. What matters is what God says. God has given us His word to base things on. The Bible says in Matthew 24:35&36 "Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away. But concerning that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father only." Since God's Word never fails, it is clear that these people making this predition are wrong. I hope you find comfort in that......
However, this fear you are expressing tells me you don't know Christ as your Savior. If you did, you would know that those who know Jesus will spend eternity with Him. My advice is to take this eye opening experience to search yourself and really question where you are and where you are going. Seek the Lord Jesus with all your heart by reading the Bible and praying for understanding....that is where you will find your true comfort.

you know what noone knows anything can happen honestly I think that possibly that the world could be through with suffering and all who deserve to pass onto heaven will....but you know nothing might happen or something will happen just be prepared thats all i can say NOONE KNOWS if you are christain or catholic or whatever religion you are just be prepared for anything.

No this is not true! The only time people believe (to christians) the world will end when Jesus comes back. People make stuff out of nothing. It's not 6/6/6 its 6/6/06...the zero is in the way. You know, I remember back in 1994, walking to school with a friend and remarking that Nodstradamus said the world would end that day and I was SO worried!! But the world didn't end!
There will always be people who say things like this but you have to try to keep your mind on ground level and realise that it's all superstition or theoretical. The truth is, yes, there is the possibility the world could end. But the world could end on any day of the week, month or year! I'm not trying to make you more worried, I just want to give you a little perspective. The world would end for a reason such as being hit by a large meteor or because the Supervolcano erupted or some other such thing. But there has been no evidence to suggest anything like this will occur within the next few days so I really don't think you need to worry.
So just sit back, calm down, and wait for 07/06/06.

that's a load of crap. yes, the world might end at any time, but the chances of it ending on "the devil's date" are slim to none. the world ends when it ends, and there's really nothing we can do about it. but just because 6-6-06 is right around the corner doesn't mean that we need to go cower in basements or whatever. believe me, whoever is telling you this is severely misinformed. just sit back and relax. remember when everybody was scrambling around before the millennium because supposedly that was when the world would end? yeah, that was a load of crap too.

Life can be really scary at times, but I wouldn't worry on this occasion nothing is going to happen. The world has been doomed for centuries -it makes for great movies and books. There is no point in worrying about what can't be changed in the future - death and taxes!!!!!! Live your life with happiness and love. All the best.

People tell me that too, but its just because its the devis number. And really, someone just made the devils number up, its not like the devil has even come and said '666 is my number', the devil miht not even have a number.
I wouldnt believe it because there have been so many other dates when the world was supposed to end, and nothing happened.

First of all the numbers 666 is in reference to the mark of the beast or anti-christ if you will. It is not a reference to a date. But let's take a moment and pretend that it was a reference to a date. The number 666 makes it's appearance in the Book of Revelations. This is the last book in the Bible, which was written thousands of years ago. Now thousands of years ago we were operating on a completely different calendar system. The calendars that were used then were the Julian calendar used by the Romans (Julius Caesar), the Hebrew Calendar used by-well, you know, the Jews, and then the Mayan Calendar, which for this purpose is not referred to. We now use what is called the Georgian Calendar and different countries adopted it at different times around the world but it was roughly adopted around the 1500s to the 1700s I think China was even later than that like the 50s or 60s. My reason for pointing this out to you is that if something was professed to occur at a particular date and time according to the Bible or any ancient document you have to look at the calendar and method of telling time that the people who wrote the book were operating under and since Revelations was written somewhere around 2000 years ago and John, who wrote Revelations, was Jewish, it is a pretty safe bet that he was operating under the Hebrew Calendar and we are in the year of 5766 according to their calendar. So, we've missed the deadline so to speak. Anyway, someone is always predicting the end. They were doing it back when Jesus was around and they are doing it now. Pay no attention to them. I hope that helps to settle your mind.

Yeah it could happen, but then again the world could end a minute after I post this. We as humans don't know when it will end, and our only clue is "it will come like a thief in the night".

hun, no need to worry. the world isnt going to end. im gettting surgery that day, so i hope nothing goes wrong! but no, i dont believe it. people just say that, but its a myth. listen to all the other people about the otehr dates and such, thats good stuff. so in short answer - i wouldnt be scared.

If you are a Christian than you know that our Lord, Our Father has prepared soo much to happen before that..yeah the world is supposed to end (( says the bible )) but there is SOO MUCH thats supposed to happen..there is supposed to be another WORLD war..The Temple of David is supposed to be rebuilt..but they've only found a few Pieces of it..theres supposed to be a massive earthquake..The Son of the Devil is supposed to be Born and he will rule through his lifetime and then there is the 100 years of light...and this scares me..you..everyone..but if we have faith and trust in the Lord then there is nothing to fead and that no matter what happens the Lord is always going to be here to protect us

Here is a list of over 200 dates when the world was predicted to end. I think it is safe to say that the world has a good track record of ignoring such dates. Check the entries for 1666, 1998, and 2000.
