I think it's allergies, I get those symtoms all year around. Try going to your doctor and ask him to see if your allergic to the flowers or something. Hope it helped.

Its completely normal to get a cold in the summer. Its happened to me before. Listerine Strips helped unstuff my nose. If you stay couped up on the couch all day with a blanket and hot chocolate, then you will feel worse. Pretend youre not stuffed up or have a sore throat and normally go about your day. Youll feel better in a few days. Good luck!

HEARTXBREAKER answered Tuesday July 12 2005, 5:24 pm:
Yes it is normal. I get colds all the time. For your sore throat, drink broth, and you might want to get some medicine for it. And for you stuffy nose, blow it a LOT, and don't cry, because that makes it worse, and when I get a stuffy nose I use nasal spray lmao. But it works. You stick it in your nose and squirt, and it unclogs your nose. You can get it at wal mart!

did you no that you dont get a cold from being cold? thats true getting a cold is like a bug that just goes around and basically everyone catches it. Its perfectically normal to get a cold in the summer. Or maybe its not a cold .. maybe your allergect to something but you just havent found out what yet? To get your nose unstuffed, you should probably try medicine if you arleady havent.

You can get colds all year.

But in this case it sounds like allergies.

To help:
Get some decongestants.

If you don't like taking medicine, try steam. It will help with the stuffy nose. And teas with honey and/or lemon work wonders on a sore throat. If you don't like tea, the honey and lemon alone will help.

IndieKidsCanRock answered Sunday July 10 2005, 7:50 pm:
♥You can get a cold during any season, any place, anytime, any country. You can get a "cold" even when it's hot out. I don't have a clue why it's called a cold. Have your parents/guardian take you to see a doctor and ask for a nasal spray. Nasal sprays will help your nose to be not so stuffy, a good brand is RhinoCort. Also, drink plenty of hot green tea with honey drizzled over top. It's good, and it will help your sinuses get cleaed. Hungry? Go for Mexican style food tonight, the heat of the Chile peppers will un-clog your nose. Be sure to always have tissues on hand. Feel better!

yeah i think it is normal to get a cold in the summer because of allergies and the pollen from the trees...take some medicine to get rid of the stuffy nose. go to the doctor too and see if you can get a free allergie test.

twistedsister17 answered Sunday July 10 2005, 6:14 pm:
It could be allergies because tons of flowers and trees blossom in the summer. I know I have them. Try using Triaminic Orange Liquid or chews (found at drug stores like Wegmans) These always help me. Drink lots of water!! That will make your nose unstuff and before you go to bed, put Vicks VapoRub (available at wegmans & drugstores) on your chest and a dot on the tip od your nose. This always seems to help me. And having the air conditioning on is better for your stuffy nose than the windows open because by having the windows open, more pollen can come into your house. Make sure you air conditioning filter is clean though. If you don't have air conditioning, try putting a fan in your room. All these might help, but if it gets REALLY bad, then go see your doctor because he might have a prescription allergy medicine for you. Hope I helped!

It might be allergies. A lot of people get allergies during the summer. Go to a local drug store and get OTC allergy medicine or to your doctor and get perscription allergy medicine - (Assuming you have allergies!)

i've never heard of anyone getting a cold in the summer before, but I guess that it's possible. you can get a cold like if you stood in the rain for too long.. or something like that.. and maybe you dont really have a cold. it could be possible that you're allergic to pollen. if you do have a cold, it doesnt mean that there's something wrong with you. it's kind of weird to get a cold in warm weather, but it's possible

GAH! i get a cold every summer, like the last few days of school, or right when school lets out. i dont know why, but just drink a lot of water and keep tissues around. just have your mom take you to your local walgreens or cvs (a pharmacy) and ask someone there what you can take for a stuffy nose. theres plenty of over the counter pills/liquids, but ask your mom for sure, ill bet shes got something in the medicine cabinet to fix you up. i hope you feel better.

cicci answered Sunday July 10 2005, 2:06 pm:
A cold isn't actually anything to do with the weather, it's just a virus that happens to live most happily in colder places, but it's more than possible for you to get infected in any weather. The best thing for a stuffy nose, I find, is to put a couple of drops of vic in a bowl full of steamy water, place a towel around you forehead so it hangs over your eyes and the back of the bowl, and then breathe in the steam.
You might not actually have a cold, it could be an allergy, in which case take an allergy tablet (I find that Benadryl or Clarityn are the most effective). Hope I helped!

Yea its totally normal in fact I'm getting over one right now. As for the congestion I use zicaam ((not sure how you spell it)) its this liquid stuff that you put in your nose and goes through your blood stream, its really easy to use and helps a lot! And if you ever get a real bad cold again use airborne <I swear its magic it isn't the greatest taste ((although my brother loves it : /)) but it definitely makes you feel better!! good luck

Of Course it's normal! I have just gotten over a cold, it could be change of humidity or it could be allergy or sinuses. When your sinuses drain, it can cause your throat to hurt. Try some throat losengers or just blow your nose constantly. Whenver I run, my nose gets really runny, so I can blow it. Hope it works... thanks Sahara

Yeah, it's normal don't worry. You can get your nose unstuffed by on of those things that you put up your nose and sniff or one of the vapor things. The one where you sniff is better though. I'm sorry if you don't know what I mean because I'm not specific, but I forget the actual name.

Anyway, I hope I helped!

Mackenzie answered Sunday July 10 2005, 11:20 am:
It's possible, yes. And there's not much you can do in the means of stopping it, other than the obvious. Drink PLENTY of fluids [water is *definitely best], take medication, and keep tissues on hand. Also, consume a lot of hot foods, soup is ideal - hot foods diminish the 'stuffyness'. Get a sufficent amount of sleep, if not MORE, and try the Vick's Vapor Rub [if you have it? It *does work..]. Hope this helps?? Feel better!! :D
