I'm having this same situation right now oddly enough. I've talked to some of my other really good friends.. and they've told me that don't let guys come in between you. It's hard though if you really like him to try and forget about him. But go with your heart. If he doesn't like her then you have a better shot with him. but if you are afraid of losing a friend don't go for it!

kay well. Im 14 and im a girl. Boys are so inmature now a days. All the guys I go out with are not good boyfriends. All they say to me is " your hot" And I really want a really long good relationship. I know thats not really possible at my age but i see it all the time. Most of those guys turn out to be the hot guys. I hate to say it.. but it happens to all of us girls. We find a guy we really like, and he's cute but he turns out to be an asshole.. or he'll want you to be with him for different reasons. there's no true way to find out how a guy is. unless you get to know him first before you start dating him. Try looking around at different types of guys.

Don't be shy. If you both like each other and are comfortale around each other.. go for it!! Just talk to him like you do on the phone. I'm a really shy person to.. but when i'm on the phone i talk someone's ear off. I deal with it by just trying to talk like i'm on the phone. Be yourself and if he likes you everything will turn out right!!!

Honey..i've been wondering that for years!! I haven't hung out with my "friends" since school ended...my so called "best friend" moved to cali. and forgot to call me when she came to visit. i tried calling her and she never answered. i've learned to just go out on my own and figure out how to do that.. i play on a softball team and i've made "real" friends there...and we hang out all weekend. Try joining a team or get involved with activites that you can make "real" friends... if there is such a thing!!
