M_to_the_E_to_the_L answered Monday July 11 2005, 7:47 pm: If your talking about like a netted sponge ball... well seeing as you use it in a shower with soap its not going to get gross or anything. I'd say use it til it becomes scratchy or if it does in fact start to look dingy or grimmy... then get a new one. I don't think they are that expensive so you might as well stay comfortable [ M_to_the_E_to_the_L's advice column | Ask M_to_the_E_to_the_L A Question ]
barbiedollx answered Sunday July 10 2005, 9:51 pm: They are called loofahs and I keep them for maybe 3-4 months but I read in cosmo magazine that you should only keep them a month. So just toss it out when you feel that its too gross to be used. [ barbiedollx's advice column | Ask barbiedollx A Question ]
IndieKidsCanRock answered Sunday July 10 2005, 7:53 pm: ♥Those "spongey things" are called Loofahs! It would be best to change them every month because they are storing bacteria. Don't listen to people who say it's alright to keep it until it falls apart, that is unhealthy, it will get so dirty that when you wash yourself with it, all you're doing is spreading bacteria. Try and switch out your loofah every month, they aren't expensive. It's the most sanitary way to go. [ IndieKidsCanRock's advice column | Ask IndieKidsCanRock A Question ]
akissintheshapeofabullet answered Sunday July 10 2005, 5:20 pm: you can keep the same one for as long as you like, but i've read you should wash them in the washing machine every 1-2 weeks, and let them air dry. this is to get all the dirt and stuff that comes off you in the shower.

Elizabeth123 answered Sunday July 10 2005, 11:18 am: Well..those things are either a loofa or a pouf. Most likely a pouf..they are more common. You should probably get a new on somewhere between 1-2 months. hope i helped! <3 Elizabeth123 [ Elizabeth123's advice column | Ask Elizabeth123 A Question ]
hopeihelped answered Sunday July 10 2005, 2:09 am: Called loofah's but if you call them mesh sponges people know what you're talking about. I call them mesh sponges because I think that it sounds less stupid than loofah. Anyway, you should change them either every other month or you can pop it right into your washing machine. Just make sure you buy one that you can throw into a machine.
