Q: i pulled my leg yesturday and we'll i ran today cause i had a track meating and had to and all that did was make it worse =(

yoga/pilates will help tremendously. nothing hardcore or anything. just gentle pulling and massaging your leg. if you keep running, make sure you stretch both before and after. but it will most likely heal faster if you dont run. hope you feel better!

Q: so my hair is super curly and frizzy.
i straighten it most days beacuse i dont want/like to wear it how it naturally curls. i think it looks bad. i have about shoulder length light brown hair.

my question is how do i get my hair to be wavy. like pretty waves. not super tight curls, but not straihgt. in between.

steps would be much apprciated.

my hair is wavy, super thick, and layered. i also straighten it and its about 3 inches below my shoulder.

take a shower and make sure you get all the tangles out in the shower because you cant brush it afterwards. then run through a product through your hair, i use garnier fructis frizz reducer and DONT brush your hair. then scrunch up your hair after. ive never used the braid technique it seems to hold during the night just fine. in teh morning test a small patch of hair and brush it, if the brusing takes out all of the waves dont brush it and just run your fingers through it so its untangeled.

Q: Which hair straightener would be best out of the three:

Chi.
Coloriss [Sp?]

Price isn't a big deal, I`m just looking for quality.

chi definetly. i have one and it works amazing. i have the bigger one with the red velvet outside and i got it for like 140 i think on amazon when its like 200 regularly so amazon will make it cheaper. it heats up in 20 seconds and works great cus i have thick wavy hair!those are just some details about it...

Q: which is a better buy? the sidekick II or a blackberry? which is more up to date? i'm a female and i'm 13 years old if that helps. i'm looking to buy one but it doesnt matter about the price so please dont base your answer on price. thanks!

personally id go with the sidekick, because a blackberry is much more business like. my mom and all her work friends, and my friends parents have the blackberries, and it seems much more an adult cell phone. hope you get the right phone!

Q: What is a good and healthy/safe way to loose fat in your inner thighs?

I'm 15 years old and a girl. I don't have access to a gym so please don't suggest working out at a gym

you build muscle when you weight lift so thats a good way to tone the inner thighs and might get rid of a little fat but not much. there is no way to pin point where you lose fat to tell the truth, so whoever thinks you can run a mile on the treadmill and it only works your legs is wrong. doing cardio is the best way to lose fat, but you could be losing fat from anywhere. even your neck or hands when your not really working them. most likely though the fat will come off your thighs because of the legs in such constant movement. cardio is the way to lose the fat, but also doin weight lifting gives you more muscle, which the more muscle you have the more calories you burn while running leading to more fat loss. so 10-30 mins of cardio at home. since you dont really have access to weight training, try do leg lifts or leg excercises to build muscle and tone. hope this helps!

Q: Hey Advicenators-
I was 10, and in the 5th grade. Then in January, some boy who I never knew noticed was in my dance/music class came up to me, did some freaky hand thing. I called him idiot, he gasped, and was left speechless. Since then, I have loved him.

After that, he did all sorts of things. If I was absent, the next day he would say "Oh, so you're here today." When our teacher told us to pair up with a boy, he asked me, and I said no and hid behind the wall, so I wouldn't dance with a boy. He asked me my name. I would never tell him. He found out, by grabbing my books. He walked me to class. I still never gave in to him. He got left back though, and me being in the top class, graduated.

I thought I wouldn't see him, since I went to Junior High (weird I know, we graduate in 5th grade instead of 6th). Our Junior High is only 3 blocks away from my elementary school. I saw him countless times on the bus. He went to sixth grade when I went to seventh. He always was looking at me, and I would look at him.

Now, I'm in 8th grade about to graduate in two days. After that, I don't have to come back to school, but I will. He has the same S.S. teacher as I did last year, so I'm gonna hang out with my teacher for the whole 4 more days of school. I'm gonna try to talk to that boy. Hopefully, he will still talk to me.

I still love this boy. I have loved him since 5th grade, for more than 3 years, and my love never dies, or wears off. Other boys I've liked come and go from my heart, but his spirit never leaves.

My questions:

1. Did this boy ever like me?
2. Do you think I have a chance with him?
3. If he does talk to me, how do I spill that I love him?
4. What do I do if he rejects my love?

that is like one of the cutest storeis i've ever heard and coming from only an 8th grader! im jealous. you phrased it beautifully, but anyways to the point.

1. he liked you so much that he took the time to pick you out of everyone and carry you books so a definite yes!

2. i think you have a chance with him, but you'll have to work hard to create a relationship because you've been kinda ignoring him for the past years. but im 99% sure he'll forgive you for that and take you right away!

3. tell him, ive been nervous all these years so i havent talked to you. ive actually really admired you.

4. if he rejects your love, tell him maybe that you 2 still have a chance of being friends and can hang out. and when your friends you might blossom into more. who knows?

Q: ok well my boyfriends birthday is coming up like really soon but i have no idea what to get him.

well my ex boyfriend extremely like my gift that i gave him for his birthdayl. i got a plastic tall box that said popcorn and it was red and white striped. im pretty sure they're still at target. then i filled it to the top with his favorite candy like reeses and starbursts. then i got him a $25 gift card to harkins or the most popular movie place where you live so you can go see movies together. he loved eating the candy and then he got his movies paid for when we saw them together. finally i wrapped it in celefame and tied tons of colorful ribbons and curled them . it looks extremely cute at the end! hope it helped.

Q: i told a guy i like him over 4 days ago and we haven't talked yet! well, we don't talk on the phone becuase we dont have eachothers phone numbers but we talk on aim a lot. i have to talk to him soon because waiting 5 days for something that i wanted to know 5 seconds after i told him. Do you have any ideas about what to do. and i don't want to sound like a stalker. lol

ask your friends to ask him about you. not like completely randomly bring it up, but casually. don't let it get awkward between you two, just because you told him you liked him. you should probably be close enough to bring it up again. IM him online and just be casual, "hey, whats goin on. anything new?" type of thing. then kinda start saying yeahh i think your cool etc. you wont sound like a stalker at all because you havent even talked to him in 4 days! thats hard to last that long without talking to someone you like, trust me i know. he should've responded, but maybe it was an awkward situation. it might be even more awkward if it was in person, so maybe keep it to aim. maybe ask for his phone number so you can get to know him better and not just on aim. i hope this helps, boys are funny how they act so hopefully he comes around and tells you that he likes you! hope it works out!

Q: what would be a good age to start shaving your legs? i don't know what age my child should do it. i forgot when i started. and if the hair is pretty noticable would 10, 11, or 12 be good? i need ranges.

i started shaving when i was ten, and most of my friends started around 10 or 11. the friend that did it earliest was 8, and the one that waited the longest started shaving at 13. hope this gives you the range. i think 12 is pretty old to not be shaving, probably 10 or 11 is best.

Kayy. So this is deffinently veryy embarressing but I can't really talk to anyone about it so here it goes.
I'm 4'11 and a half, 82ish pounds, and a 32bra. I shave my legs. Basically, I'm going through puberty. A lot of my friends who have smaller boobs than me have already had their period? Am I late or are they early? [[it's more than one.]] Also, I've been getting discharge for a while now. But I get so much! I change my underware twice a day! Will I be getting my period soon? I'm sooo confused! Sorry for the nastyness.

diet...leading to weight has a huge part in getting your period. a period means you are ready to bear a child and have the baby. when your 60-80 pounds your body's not ready to actually have a baby, its too small. also when you get your period you might grow a couple more inches but basically you're done growing for the most part. you probably still have more to grow and weight to gain for your body to feel that it can have a baby. boobs dont really show when you get your period because as you know some girls have small boobs and some have huge so it doesnt show a time line. girls get their period between 8-14 usually. and usually when you get it your around 105 pounds. discharge comes before a period but doesnt necessarily mean it will come in the next month or so. you can have discharge for 2 years befor you get your period, or just for a month. your probably around normal...(you didnt say your age so im guessing 13? maybe) yea lots of info but dont worry whenever it happens it will. plus its not that great having it so enjoy it while you can.

i think im thinking of the same commercial, maybe not but im pretty sure its "starry eyed surprise" by paul oakenfold. the commercial i remember is where theyre all on skates and the bubbles are flying. hopefully this is the same one!

Q: I was mothers-helpering for my neighbor. I had no clue how much she should of paid me. When she gave me the money, I felt she over paid me. One time, for just an hour, she gave me $8. Today, for just 45 min, she gave me $6! Is this too much? (Mothers helpering is when you watch the kids while one of their parents are home) The kids didnt really require that much. There are 2 of them (one 1 year old and one 4 year old.) How much should she pay me per hour?

Also... when I babysit them.. how much should she pay me?

that really isnt that much, but if you feel that way you can always say i dont feel comfortable taking this much money. i babysit one child and i get paid atleast $7 an hour. so for 2 children $8 is about right, plus think about it. your watching a 1 year old and the younger they are, the more you need to watch them and nuture them. so dont worry about the money, she obviously thinks your a great watcher and trusts you with her kids so shes paying you for your great work.

there was a newspaper article recently saying that good babysitters are hard to come by, so if you really adore them pay them $10 an hour. which i kinda find ridiculous but oh well. as for your babysitting tom, i would expect $6+ an hour for 2 children.

i went to a babysitting class and they said its best if you want to set the money limit. so if you want to tell her how much you want to get paid per hour (but make it not too pricy), then its better for the client so they know what your expecting. depending on where you live (urban, country...really rich, middle class, etc.) babysitters get paid differently but around my area people get paid around $6-9 an hour for 1 or 2 kids.

Q: This whole thing is probably going to sound really werid and its going to be long but here goes:

It's my last year in this school I've been at for 3 years, but it feels like forever. It has so many memories, from the good like meeting my best friend to the bad like dealing with her boyfriend's near death experience. (literally) Well, this year has been going by so fast and its been so much fun. You know when it feels like you and your friends rule the school (hopefully you dont act like it)and you can walk around like you don't care. Your friends are crazy and its just perfect. I don't want to leave.

Well, I have a feeling things are going to change in high school. All my friends are so different that there is no way we are all going to see each other all the time like we do now. For example, in school I take all honors and my best friend doesn't take any. After school, I'm busy with track and horseback riding and she has swim practice. Also, I'm afraid of having to make new friends.

So I guess my two questions are how do I stay friends with my current friends and how do I make new friends in my classes?

wow im in the same exact position except im leaving my school that ive been at 9 years (K-8). im completely scared outta my mind with that too. my cousin had to go through that last year, and she still keeps in touch w/ her old friends with monthly activities like lunches and/or movies. she also keeps up on aim and phone calls. shes made new friends, and even some more best friends at her new school so you'll for sure make new friends. some of her friends are in all different classes, and just try to sit wtih them at lunch and talk during the halls in between classes. they hang out every weekend and theyre close as ever. it will all be great! i cant wait to see what next year is like too!

i use limewire. some people say that limewire screws up their computer, but its worked perfectly with mine. go to limewire.com and download the free version, and you can downlaod music, videos, pictures and lots of other things for free. then after i do a big download i remove it from my computer so i dont get viruses, then download it again whenever i need it. its easy to use and follow the directions. if you need more instructions feel free to ask!

Q: What is it when someone is prude?

prude is not being up to standards in the sexual area. guys sometimes call girls prude because they wont do a certain sexual act. it can be used as a negative or positive term depending on whether you like/dont like doing sexual acts. all i know at my school prude is bad and the guys tease the girls about being prude. being prude shows virtues and innocence.

Q: it seems that when ever i eat something, no matter what it is and no matter how hungry i am, i become full with in the first few bites. but then i feel like i should eat mroe so i do, and before long, i am so full i feel almost sick! am i eating to fast or what?

sometimes that happens to me. its may be that your eating fast, but most likely your just not letting it digest right. try chewing 12 times per big bite. and if you feel full just take a break for a minute and you can actually tell if your full or not. sometimes (wierd i know) its just gas. when you eat the air gets trapped making you feel full in your stomach. if you feel full after a couple bites, nasty i know but trying burping (quietly to yourself) and see if you feel any better. if you still feel full then don't eat. maybe your stomach is just used to handling small snacks 6 times a day, rather than most peoples with 3 big meals. whatever is best for you and makes you feel good after!
