Kayy. So this is deffinently veryy embarressing but I can't really talk to anyone about it so here it goes.
I'm 4'11 and a half, 82ish pounds, and a 32bra. I shave my legs. Basically, I'm going through puberty. A lot of my friends who have smaller boobs than me have already had their period? Am I late or are they early? [[it's more than one.]] Also, I've been getting discharge for a while now. But I get so much! I change my underware twice a day! Will I be getting my period soon? I'm sooo confused! Sorry for the nastyness.
To make you feel good, every woman gets her period so you will too...sooner or later. If you get so much discharge that it's uncomfortable, wear panty liners. I remember when I got dicharge, my period was coming. Not real soon but within weeks or months. While at this stage, panny liners! I didn't have much as you did, but I got some...it worried me too...what the heck is this sticky stuff?! LOL
When you get your period, it's a very light thing. You won't know until it hits you. When you go to the bathroom one day when you get it, you'll see this brown stuf and a little bloody. That's all. It's very dry. Your first period is very painless (No cramps) and it's light to medium...when I had my first period was a long time ago but I'm trin' to rememebr. This is a happy period and your only! Not to scare you or anything.
If you are afraid how to tell your mom when you get it. there are many ways you can see it without saying it. Confusing? Of course! Puberty is difficult and hard. You can say I'm a woman now mom. Or you can say where are the sanitary pads? Or you can tell her straight foward, I got my period thing. I was soo afraid, I had to write my mom. No matter how you tell her, you'll feel relived after you tell her.
Tulipg17 answered Monday May 22 2006, 7:59 am: You are fine. Every woman is different, some start their period as early as age 9, others as late as age 16. Being skinny has very little to do with the situation (unless you have an illness). If you are concerned about the discharge, talk to a doctor and see what advice to give about it. It doesn't sound all that unusual though, try thin pantyliners to protect your underwear. [ Tulipg17's advice column | Ask Tulipg17 A Question ]
beachhun101 answered Monday May 22 2006, 12:20 am: diet...leading to weight has a huge part in getting your period. a period means you are ready to bear a child and have the baby. when your 60-80 pounds your body's not ready to actually have a baby, its too small. also when you get your period you might grow a couple more inches but basically you're done growing for the most part. you probably still have more to grow and weight to gain for your body to feel that it can have a baby. boobs dont really show when you get your period because as you know some girls have small boobs and some have huge so it doesnt show a time line. girls get their period between 8-14 usually. and usually when you get it your around 105 pounds. discharge comes before a period but doesnt necessarily mean it will come in the next month or so. you can have discharge for 2 years befor you get your period, or just for a month. your probably around normal...(you didnt say your age so im guessing 13? maybe) yea lots of info but dont worry whenever it happens it will. plus its not that great having it so enjoy it while you can.
