i think you have to be 11 or 12 to take a babysitting class, but I started babysitting my sisters wen i was about 10 then took the class and started babysitting other people when i was 12

it depends. if a kid is babysitting their brother/sister they can start at an earlier age (around 11 and 12 and for 3-6 hours) if a is babysitting a kid thats not in their family than 13 and up.

I wouldn't say there's an exact age ;; because there's some pretty immature 15 year olds. It all depends how trustworthy you are. Most believe around 12 or 13, but i started around 10 or 11.

People say thirteen because that's the turning point for maturity, but i guess kids in OUR generation are much more lazier and have lack of responsibility than they did back then; when even 10 year olds believed that changing diapers at their age was normal. but over the age of 13 is an acceptable age to start babysitting.

I started when I was 13 but they usually pay when a 13 year old babysits around 5-10 dollars...but that's just because of the age difference once you grow up the amount goes up..I hope that works..

I started babysitting when I was 12 or 13. I think that is a normal age. Also, babysitting classes are offered around that age so kids are able to get a certificate to show that they know CPR and that sort of stuff. Hope this helps.

you can start babysitting when you are twelve years old. some people go and get a certificate to show you are truly a really trained baby sitter.

Basically, you can start baby sitting at whatever age you think you're ready. If your mature enough to handle a young person and take responsibility for all of their actions then you're ready. The thing is you have to remember that you are in charge of the person's life. Once you think you can handle then then your ready.
P.S. if you're not sure then try baby sitting with a friend frist!

I would say about 12. But, it really depends on the person and the age of the child your babysitting. Some people mature mentally faster than others.
