dictionary definition: modest to the point it annoys people.
my definnition: when you are afraid and not very open about touching the one you are dating, such as holding hands, hugs, kisses.
some people's definition is when someone won't have sex (my ex-boyfriend's definition), and this is not true.
i find "prude" to be an insult.

Well,it usually means that a person is too scared to do something sexual with a guy or girl.It could also mean a guy or girl is still "prude" meaning they havent kissed anyone yet.

prude is not being up to standards in the sexual area. guys sometimes call girls prude because they wont do a certain sexual act. it can be used as a negative or positive term depending on whether you like/dont like doing sexual acts. all i know at my school prude is bad and the guys tease the girls about being prude. being prude shows virtues and innocence.

It's when someone reacts different when someone talks about sexual things or doesn't want to do those things. Like, when your prude you dont want to makeout, have sex, talk about sex, etc. It's actually a compliment when your called a prude, who wants to be known as someone who gives themselves up (In a sexual way) all the time?
